I have been going here before Covid & then thereafter. Jimmy had a new location then on Penman Road. The salon is just gorgeous. Jimmy and wife Tracey ALWAYS do the most beautiful French tips (gel version) for me. They are true professionals and very pleasant people. I was beyond disappointed and embarrassed. I recommended this salon as I previously had good experiences. I booked an appointment for my mother and her pedicure was a complete "rush job" it was less than twenty minutes from start to finish. She was not treated well and she was the first appointment of the day. This shop has proven inconsistent and the focus seems to be on volume for cash. There are other and better options that are much more customer service focused. They are not consistent in how they treat their members and Jimmy is more concerned about just getting people in and out. read more

I was recommended this salon by a neighbor after moving to the area and trying a few different ones with no luck. I got a full set and pedicure my first visit and just went back last week for a refill and another pedi. I can't say enough good things about the quality of the work. My nails do not lift and look great after two weeks. Jimmy also cares about your nail health as opposed to some other salons that file your nail down to nothing, slap on acrylic and send you on your way. Happy to have found him! read more

When I came in, jimmy tried to take off my current SNS by popping It off when an acrylic nail which was incredibly painful- so proceeded to take off with acetone. He got most of the SNS off, but not all. Once the new SNS was put on, a sloppy job had been done so I asked them to please clean up the edges. The result was a cut near my cuticle. I wound up in Jax Beach area for an extended stay due to ongoing cancer treatment at Mayo Clinic. Never been, walked in on a Monday just to see if I could get a gel manicure. Was promptly greeted from across the room by the owner. I told him I did not have an appointment and was just inquiring if I could get one now or at a later time in the day. He asked to see my nails and then looked at the schedule book. He mentioned he was short staffed for the day, but said to pick a color and have a seat. He squeezed me in between 2 other appointments, which he did not have to do. Very swift and precise manicure, he did a great job and was upbeat the whole time. My manicure and nails are fantastic! He was very accommodating with only having one other technician on staff that day. Very friendly and nice. Will definitely be back, but I will make an appointment for sure next time. read more

I have been going here for years and never had a problem. They started using cheaper products for my nails because they are getting yellow after a few days. I confronted him about it and he got very aggressive and was telling me it was my fault. Horrible customer service. Never will be back after 10 years of going there. read more

I am SO happy that Nails by Jimmy has moved into my neighborhood! Tracy and Jimmy are both so welcoming and do a great job! On my first visit, Tracy did my gel pedicure and Jimmy did my SNS nails. On my second visit a couple weeks later, my pedicure was still looking fabulous, so I just needed Tracy to remove and redo a new SNS manicure. I don't love to spend hours at the nail salon and am usually running over on my lunch break so I love that they are quick, but meticulous and do a great job! I'm sad to have to write a negative review for Nails by Jimmy. I made an appointment and had a a bit of a wait. No big deal. They didn't have the popular OPI color I wanted but Jimmy recommended another OPI and I liked it very much. My nails were shaped beautifully and I felt pleased with the results enough to leave a nice tip. So what's the problem? Jimmy removed my previous SNS color with a Dremel. One nail became so hot I had to pull away due to pain. My nails could withstand this once but not every 2-3 weeks!!! Powder dip nail enhancements need to be soaked off either with the bowl or foil wrap method. They take time to remove but it's part of the process. Unfortunately, even though my nails look nice; I will not be returning. read more
