I was really not impressed by the overall cleanliness of the salon. I had a mani pedi done by Kim's sister and noticed that the towel covering the manicurist's work station was damp, smelled odd, and appeared to have not been changed between clients. This was confirmed when I sat down for my pedi and she did not change the towel after working on me. Normally I expect to see a clean set of cuticle clippers removed from an autoclaved package when the nail technician begins to work. These tools should then follow you to your pedicure, and then should be autoclaved and repackaged. Instead, the manicurist removed an unpackaged cuticle pusher and cuticle trimmer from her drawer, gave my fingers a quick wipe down with alcohol, and wiped off the cuticle trimmer with alcohol before she started. I questioned her about how the tools were cleaned, and she said the autoclave is in the next room, but I believe she was reusing the tools in between clients, hence the alcohol wipe down. Overall, other things struck me as odd too. Instead of massaging my hands with lotion, she used cuticle oil. The lotion she used during my pedicure was dispensed out of a restaurant style mustard container. When I got into the pedicure chair, there was water pooling out from beneath it on both sides, to me it looked like the bowl system had a leak. During my pedicure she swept the toe clippings into the water my feet were resting in. Overall, expensive ($80) for regular mani pedi, cleanliness issues, would not go again. read more

Very disappointed with my pedicure. Had an appointment, walked in and a gal sitting in one of the waiting area chairs was on her phone ( owner Kim I later learned) didn't even bother to look up and me and said " hello". I said my name and she got up and went to tell the other gal in back. That gal ( looked to be at least 65-70) came out and started filling up the foot tub and gave me a hand motion to come to her and be seated, no hello or anything. I sat and she asked about water temp and that was it. I eventually mentioned to her that I wanted my two big toes to match in length since one was longer. She continued to cut back on the one side but then did too much and had to cut more on the short one! She barely spent anytime on anything else, my heels weren't even soft afterwards! The pedicure was like $38 and she didn't even use a leg/foot scrub, just a brief leg/foot massages/lotion. I normally pay $30 at a place in hilo and he spends twice as much time. Between the the unfriendly owner/staff and pitiful pedicure I would never recommend. Once the owner had a client ( obviously repeat customer) in her chair she was all friendly. So I guess if you go be sure and get Kim. Cute shop, but I left irritated and my toenails are too short! read more

This was probably the best pedicure I've ever had. Just moved here from LA and got the basic pedi ($35). They have lots of colors including gel. Made an appointment and they took us right on time. I scheduled a few hours ahead. Still had to wait a good 20 min or more to be seen by the younger woman they have. Very cursory pedicure - i.e., no pushing cuticle back or removing dead tissue - and too quick putting color on so that 1/3 of my little toe was missed entirely, which I didn't notice til after the dryer. She was polite enough but just seemed to want to get through it as quickly as possible. I'm used to nail techs actually caring about doing the job right and checking to make sure it was. Not good enough for the $40 cost but didn't feel anyone would fix it if I raised the issue. Would either get Kim or Judy, or go elsewhere. read more

This was my first experience at this nail salon and unfortunately, it wasn't a pleasant one. I made an appointment and when I arrived, I wasn't even greeted and with an appointment I still waited 20+ minutes for Kim to finish her current client. A lady walked in and said she had an appointment with Kim and stood there until Kim was done and then sat herself down. I think this is when Kim realized she had double booked my appointment time or maybe she really thought removing my nails would take no time at all. So her regular lady sat down and Kim remembered I was still sitting there and so she told her regular lady that she was going to "quickly remove my nails first." So this lady gets up and goes outside of the nail salon while waiting for her to do my appointment. Normally, you would expect a nail technician to soak off acrylics especially when they have been on for as long as I have had them on for (consistently for a year) but instead she grabs a nail and digs them under my nail and rips them off. She then uses her nail pliers to pull of the remaining nail pieces. It was painful and uncomfortable and I believe she did it this way to rush through it. At this point, it's been about 25-30 minutes that she's been working on my nails and her regular lady was upset since she also had an appointment but was still waiting. So she asks Kim if she should leave and come back but didn't understand why she had to do that if she had a scheduled appointment. Kim felt pressured and said " no I'm done, I'm done I just have to file and buff but I'm done" She wasn't done and everything she had left to do she did in 2 minutes so she could get to her regular's appointment. This cost me $27 and I'm not sure why I tipped but I did. I was shocked at the experience I received for my first appointment here, don't think I'll be coming back. read more

Wow, what to say. My mom and I made an appointment at 4pm and was told we would be serviced at the same time. My mom was serviced a few minutes after 4pm. Her gel manicure was less than exceptional. The nail technician forgot to cut her thumb nail and cut the rest of her other nails unevenly to the point my mom had to advocate for herself. After that mess, the nail technician nailed my mom's nails the wrong color and due to the nature of gel polish, my mom hadn't realized until one of her hands was already set through the UV light. My mom was very unhappy and voiced her complaint but wanted this experience over with and decided to deal with the very sparkly red nails. As for my experience. My nail technician decided to let someone else go before me even though it was already 4:15pm and I had my appointment set for 4pm. By the time she finished with the other customer's nails it was already 4:45pm. There was no apology for the inconvenience and I felt my time hadn't been respected. I decided to skip my nail appointment and make an appointment somewhere with better time management and professionalism. I am sure these people are very kind and wonderful, personally, however, their lack of professionalism, attention to detail, and time management skills has earned them a 1 star in my books. Very disappointing. There is room for growth and hopefully they will develop to create a better experience. read more
