I stopped in for a mani-pedi and was please with this little shop. The shop is bright and clean. The owners Tiffany and Andy greeted all their regular customers by name. It was fun to hear their banter about families. It was apparent the owners deeply values their customers . My nail tech Lena took great care of me. She was very gentle and took care to shape and polish my nails to my specifications. We did my manicure first so my nails could dry during the pedicure. Somehow I managed to ding my nails while just sitting. She noticed and repainted my nails when I wasn't even aware I had jarred them. I appreciate her attention to detail. I personally met the owners, who are so lovely, this is my nail salon forever. My girl always responds to my text messages and even helps me pick out my next designs. She's literally the best! I live near nokomis where all the overpriced and horrible nail salons are located that cut you and do a fast job and make you pay more since it was done quick. For my prom nails I booked 2 weeks in advance and sent her an inspiration photo, I come in as she shows me how she plans on getting the nails to look similar and loves her job! The older comments are not true and this salon is absolutely amazing. The people are so kind and talented. I've taken my friends there and we enjoy our time. Now the people can be talkative if you're talkative, but if you sit their and don't talk to them or ask them questions then they will do their job and do it well. Seriously this is my favorite nail salon that I have EVER BEEN TO. Please just go with an open mind and respect for the people and you will enjoy yourself . Tiffany does a great job on nails but her personality is terrible and I will NOT go back. She would snap my hand to move it down. She said i didnt relax it. I wonder why now. She told me she doesnt talk because she hadnt had lunch and wanted to get through the appointment with me. She said all this with a hateful look in her eyes. She said this infront of other customers so she must not care that she was mean. I will go to another place. from the day I first walked into this salon I have been treated very coldly. the owner does a nice job but no matter what the situation , I get "reprimanded "by her. . my gel chipped and it's my fault. She said it might be the color I was using so I said let's change the color. she says I already have the polish. out. so what she complained about and what I offered as a possible solution wasn't good enough. never gives me a card for next appointment. This place is tucked in a corner plaza, owned by two couple. Tiffany did my gel nails and it came out great! She is super funny and is honest on her work and what she thinks I should do/dont with my nails. I also got my pedi by Andy. I love both of them! super sweet people read more

I just had my nails done here. I had the dip gel. I don't understand these other reviews because I have been going here for awhile doing acrylic fills. Nail tech advised me that the acrylic was old and lifting off and suggested I try the dip gel. So I did. I am very pleased with the results. I have not had a pedicure here as I get my pedicures at Head Hunters Salon, so I cannot speak to that. Very friendly atmosphere. read more

Husband and wife owners. If you are looking for a clean and sanitary environment, this is NOT it. I was told the regular clients have their nail implements cleaned in an autoclave, and the brochure also states this. This is difficult to believe. Manicure table was preset with a towel, it was also full of dust. Client was never asked to wash their hands, nor were they sprayed with alcohol. Eeeewww!!! Not once during the service was anything sprayed with 91% alcohol, or a viracidal, tuberculocidal, bactrocidal, disinfectant. OMG!!!! Instead I was told they use SaniTabs, which are NOT a guaranteed method of sanitation! The nail table was dusted off with a large fluffy brush, which was then used to clean the clients hands. WTF? The nail files were also not ever sprayed with any type of sanitizer. The drill bits were covered with prior clients nail/skin dust. These also were never once cleaned. The nail table did not have a container with barbicide, for any of the implements. When the service was complete, the next client sat down to the same towel, files, drill bits, and fluffy brush.... I have no words to describe how absolutely disgusting this was! The pedicure service was NOT clean either. The pedi tub had a film on the surface, and it was NOT cleaned before the service began. Really?!?! The implements also came straight out of a drawer, and not out of a barbicide solution. The scrubbing sponge was rinsed off and used on the client, not once was a bleach solution used. All in all, I have yet to find a CLEAN or even close to CLEAN nail salon in the area. Buyer be aware, and be wary of brochures stating how committed they are to your safety. You don't want other people filth on your hands and feet, any more than I would. Start asking for tables/files/drill bits/etc.... to be cleaned with the very least 91% alcohol. Ask for a clean fresh towel. If the table is dusty, wait to see if it's cleaned, and what it's cleaned with. read more

All I can say is that Linda is wonderful. I came for a gel manicure and pedicure ready for New Year party. The gel manicure was well done and last for good time. She spent a bit more time scrubbing the bottom of my feet. Love the part where she uses salt scrub around my heels and under my feet, they felt softener. Her foot and leg massage was brief but got to the trigger points of the bottom of my feet, felt so good. Place is clean and a lot of parking spaces. Nail implement tools are sealed within a sterilization pouch and came straight out from sterilizer, pedicure tub liners with disposable plastic. Definitely a great experience overall and will be back next time and ask for Linda when I'm in the area. read more

I was so looking forward to getting my pedicure here after I read the reviews, and to say that I was disappointed would be an understatement. First of all, the nail technician WOULD NOT cut my nails. I requested that she cut them because I like them short, and she argued with me, to the amusement of other clients, that they were short enough and that they just grew slowly. I gave up arguing and let her do whatever she wanted. The colour did not match the one I picked and the surface was bumpy and streaked. The next day I went to Hollywood Nails, just down the street and had them done all over again - beautiful job!! I really could not believe my experience there. It was so bizarre I just stopped talking and let her do her thing. What a mess! I don't know where those other reviews came from. read more

I have been having my nails done for many years and Tiffany does the best pink and white nails I have ever experienced. The salon is clean and the prices are reasonable. The negative reviews here are bogus. One is by another nail tech trying to wipe out the her competitors. I highly recommend you give this salon a try! read more

I am so happy I found this salon. Thanks to Tiffany and her husband Andy, my nails look great. I am completely hooked on the gel polish for my fingernails, it lasts and looks terrific for 3 weeks! I have had problems with other nail salons in both Michigan and Florida that resulted in having to take medication to remedy what they caused. But, I've been going to Nails by Tiffany for close to two years and I've never had a problem. I've recommended them to many friends and I take my out of town visitors there as well.
