My friend and I visited from Albuquerque during Juneteenth weekend, looking forward to a relaxing spa experience. Instead, we received hands-down the worst nail salon experience we've ever had. For $40 each, the quality and customer service were completely unacceptable. The Main Issues: Unpleasant Atmosphere: The moment we walked in, the entryway reeked heavily of cigarette smoke. Unbelievably Rushed: Despite the salon being almost completely empty with no other customers waiting, a single technician rushed through *both* of our full pedicures in a combined 30 minutes (less than 15 minutes per person). Poor & Painful Quality: The technician was rough, barely filed my nails, skipped scraping the dead skin off my heels, and left us with a sloppy polish job. Worse, she actually burned my friend's nail bed with the electric file. There was no real massage and no lotion used--only oil. Zero Customer Service: The technician didn't say a single word to us, not even a hello. When I politely tried to address these concerns at checkout to explain why our tip was lower than usual, the front desk lady completely dismissed me, stating, "That's just how we do it here." I love Ruidoso and will definitely be back to visit the town, but I will never step foot in Nails Club again. As a local I've given this place an opportunity more than once out of necessity & convenience but I will gladly drive hours & pay more elsewhere... The solution in the foot bath made my skin burn & caused a rash on my ankle & lower leg. I requested a gel/french tip pedicure & was told they don't do that even though it's listed on the service menu? The staff is miserable & rude. They deserve a 0. I hate giving bad reviews. Rarely do. I got cut twice. The tech rushed thru it and didn't feel relaxed at all. She put some kind of drops on it and sprayed it with " alcohol" from a febreeze bottle. They need more techs to handle crowd. They run back and forth between customers. The mani was too quick no hand massage or anything. Didn't apologize or give discount for cuts. I told the daughter to tell her to slow down but she didn't. I waited 40 minutes, and plus before I walked out!! There are only 2 people working in there and the young lady greeting customers and taking peoples money is telling everyone that the waiting time is 40 minutes. I had been there before in the morning and wasn't satisfied, but thought I would give them another chance, when my time came to be next in line, I was skipped and a lady with her granddaughter were seated before me, I asked and was told that they do Pedicures first. I've been coming in for a while, doing a manicure every couple of weeks and a pedicure every other visit. Prices are very reasonable, there are many colors to choose from and the owners and technicians are all local and very good. I like this shop a lot and will continue to give them my business. read more

Update: I think some are expecting this mom/pop shop to be some type of high class nail spa. It is not. It is a husband/wife team doing nails in a small town. For what it is it is excellent. Look for maintenance of your nails here. Get the full spa treatment when you are back in DFW. read more

Nail Club is a great nail salon and I would definitely recommend! My sister and I got a full set of Acrylic Nails with Gel Polish each for $45. This is very good price and the nails were done beautifully. They were done with patience and care. The salon is very clean and relaxing! Overall great experience! read more

I wish more than I can say thst I liked this place but sadly they are very poor. First, no appointments so we had to wait over an hour because they appeared to only have 2 technicians and a helper of some sort. They never told us how long etc. I dont mind waiting but keep the customer informed. The man did my acrylic portion of my nails and a lady did the polish. While I appreciate going after my cuticle it takes skill to do it without hurting the skin, both of us walked out with cuts. My sister got dip. Now several days later my nails are already chipping and have stains on them, like they weren't sealed properly or something. Never had this happen in 20 some years of getting acrylic nails. Unless I can find another place ill have to go to alamo to get them done. I cannot recommend nail club read more

I live in Ruidoso and have been in many times. The place is always clean and relaxing...they play soft music with scenic videos on the TV. I travel a lot and I have to say they do a good job on my nails compared to what my experience has been while traveling. The nails last solidly a full two+ weeks and sometimes I go even longer before I get a little lift on one nail, and they have a wide range of colors to choose from. I've done mani and pedi. In manicures I've tried acrylic, French and dip. Sometimes they are busy and I might have to wait a little bit, but they work very hard. I never see them take a break. The last time I was in, the lady was checking me out (not the young daughter but I think she's her mother) and she didn't like how the top coat looked on two nails so she told me she wanted to fix it and did. I am always polite with them and they have always been polite to me. I will definitely continue to give them my business. read more

I went for a pedicure and to have my nails soaked off. Three other people were getting pedicures in front of me. They filled the tub with warm water and brought two bowls filled with acetone to remove my nails. I sat there for 30 minutes, now the water was was cold. Finally the guy started the pedicure, removed old polish, scrubbed the bottom of my feet, but didn't get heels smooth, then exfoliated my feet for a very short time. Rinsed them off and placed a towel over my feet till the lady came to finish. Another 20 or so minutes, she came, barely scraped the toenails and did not removed dead skin under nail. Applied one coat of polis, then moved me to the manicure table to wait on her husband to start removing my nails. He was working on another lady so I waited another 30 minutes, he then started to work on a lady that came in after me. I quietly dried my hands, put my shoes on, paid my bill, came hone and took my nails off. There are only 3 people working in there and it is like an assembly line. The only friendly person in there is their young daughter who greets the customers and takes the money. I had been there before and wasn't satisfied, but thought I would give them another chance, but never again!! read more

live in Alto, and have tried several nail salons here. Five of the six I have tried won't listen to me explain my oily nail beds and tissue paper thin nails, they use VERY inferior products, and apply the acrylic too thin or unevenly. Everyone is different and may have special needs... I need every nail surface to be thoroughly coated with the bonder/primer, or the nails will pop up and chip off in three or four days. I am the primary care-giver for an elderly paraplegic, and have to schedule my day. POSITIVE: The elder gentleman at NAIL CLUB really listens to me, and they use superior quality products! He does a very careful thorough job that lasts two or three weeks without lifting... NEGATIVE: His daughter (or daughter-in-law) speaks limited English, and is VERY RUDE, often yelling a customers. The hours posted on the door are deceptive. Very frequently signs are posted stating that they are closed, or will not be open at 9:30, but will be open at 11:00. They do not make appointments, and frequently will not answer the phone when I call to see if they will be there, before I drive for 15 minutes. OVERALL: It is very difficult to get in. They should try to schedule appointments (9:30-11:00 or 5:30-7:00), and take walk-ins from 11:00 to 5:30. They would have twice the business and be much more profitable! read more
