I've been a loyal customer for 10 months, seeing Hannah every two weeks for my nails and pedicures. She does an amazing job, and I've never had an issue. For the first time, I broke a nail and called to make an appointment. The receptionist scheduled me for 6:00 PM. About 30 minutes later, the manager called me back and scolded me for making an appointment, saying broken nails are walk-in only. I had no way of knowing that because I'd never broken a nail before. Instead of politely explaining the policy, she told me to never come back, said she was blocking my phone number and removing me from their system--all because I accepted the appointment their receptionist gave me. I wasn't asking for a free repair; I expected to pay. As someone who spends around $120 every two weeks, I was shocked by how unprofessionally I was treated. After reading other Yelp reviews mentioning poor customer service, I now understand why. Hannah is wonderful, but the management experience was extremely disappointing. read more

First of all the guy who was doing my nails was making fun of my friends autistic son for playing with his toy which absolutely disgusted me and just made me want to leave. Second of all me and my friends both opted to get the deluxe pedicures and we both received two completely different pedicures and the lady doing my pedicure started talking crap to the lady doing my friends pedicure because I had an ingrown toenail. I was extremely nervous about trying this place - borderline terrified because of the reviews. We stopped in with no appointment and there was no wait. We decided to go ahead and give the place a chance. It was a good experience. The place was clean. The area where they were doing our pedicures was clean. We saw them open new packs of tools and equipment for each customer. They were sanitary and doing the proper things to keep clean and organized. No one was cut. The service was friendly and we were not overcharged. I'm just grateful the experience was positive. I guess the only downside was we did not get a complimentary drink. lol. read more

Worst customer service ever!! Don't go to this location whatsoever. I went to get gel shellac and within 4 days I had 5 chipped nails. I called to see if they could fix them and they were very rude over the phone and lacked basic customer service skills. When I get there, they tried to blame me for the chipped nails, and that I needed to get a full acrylic set which costs over 60$. I denied, and they did the bare minimum to fix my nails and completely ignored me when I tried to thank them. Horrible nail techs, I never have these problems when I go to my usual nail salon. I will also add that they charge extra just to shape your nails which should be included in their 65$+ price. Just awful. read more

The check in process is a little strange compared to some other nail places, but the pedicures are on point. I get shellac, and it lasts until I come back for another one without a chip or crack. We brought my 2 1/2 year old here and got the princess mani & pedi. She had a great time and felt so special. The staff were patient with her wiggles and accommodating to her size because she didn't really fit in the chair. I have received several pedicures & manicures at my local Nails of America at Grand Central Park in Conroe, TX with many great experiences up until today 11/24/24. I walked in this Sunday afternoon wanting a nourishing, healthy, hydrating, relaxing, manicure with cured gel & French tip for "natural, clean girl nails". I'm disappointed in the lack of care I received today. I dislike leaving negative feedback for anyone especially local businesses that I've had 5 Star experiences at in the past. I hope that their team will improve the level of customer service & communication attentiveness upon check-in & / or at the start of the manicure service. I expected them to ask me what type of manicure I wanted, show me their menu of services, etc., but instead they just started going to town soaking my nails in a bowl of acetone & filing them way too hard. I have never just had a manicure here before, so that must be where I went wrong. I have only ever gotten manis + pedis at the same time from them in the past. This week I had to split my manicure + pedicure up due to lack of time (I got my last pedicure from them on 11/14/24). I hope they will improve the quality, level of care, & pay more attention to the details & overall health & wellness of the nail in the future. I'd like to find a "Russian Manicure" technician which may be more suited for the type of look (& feel) I'm going for. I haven't gotten my nails done professionally on a regular basis in many years & hope to be able to find the right nail technician soon that will help me get to where I want to be in the long regarding my nail health. It's frustrating for me to get a bad mani/pedi right now because it feels like I have to "start all over" now by myself, but I'm sure that's just my OCD talking & holding me back from getting pretty hands & feet. I trust that I will have a positive experience w/ someone else next time. I don't know if I will go back to Nails of America since the vibe of the whole salon just feels "off" right now. I am assuming there's some tension amongst management & staff. I could be wrong, but I felt like they didn't want to be there. Overall, I do recommend this Nails of America 90% of the time, so I will likely come here again in the spirit of hope since it is so close to home & I believe they'll be able to improve in the future. For now though, I will return to M.Vince Nail Spa at Six Lines Dr. in The Woodlands & LifeTime Nail Spa at Shenandoah + try to locate other quality, affordable salons in the area that I can consistently depend on to help me achieve my nail goals. My 11/24/24 thoughts post manicure: * nail beds are sore & feel raw & overexposed from the tech filing me too hard * cuticles are extremely dry & discolored * cured gel polish (clear coat + white) feels lumpy & bumpy to the touch * the line on the French tip does not follow the curved edges on the corners of my nails (the white should extend more upward on the side instead of looking so flat) * where is my dream nail technician hiding? Both my husband & I have been regulars for almost 4 yrs. Today I was surprised when Michele said my bill was so much more than it normally is. I go approx every 2 weeks. But, I had asked to be switched from my usual nail lady,(she always seemed to be running behind) and my dip nails were starting to look so uneven with dips in the middle and a little short & fat which really hurts when they break. I was offered a new girl or my previous girl. I said I would let Michelle decide and she gave me the new girl who took a half hour longer and my nails have all kinds of dips in their profile. I wasn't going to say anything until I checked out and T hey wanted to charge me so much more. Michele said the girl wanted it for length & shape of which nothing had changed. I'm a senior and my nails are the same every time and the same color and I was told that my regular girl was offended and that it was up to each girl what they want to charge like independent contractors ?! BTW, Ruby & Crystal are great for pedicures. Also, normally offered a neck wrap and the massage chair but, not today and it was NOT A last minute appointment. Got my nails done on a Friday then on Saturday right before the wedding, a chunk of the gel came off of my thumb because it was too thick and not cured properly and by Tuesday I had two nails peel completely off. read more

After waiting a week it didn't clear up and had become swollen so I went in to have them look at it. They told me I would have to pay for a new pedicure and didn't even look at it. I had my nails done on Friday December 15, 2023. On Sunday two of my gel nails had come off. I went in Monday and showed them and they only fixed the two nails even though I mentioned I was worried now that they were all going to come off and I was leaving for NYC on Tuesday morning and by Tuesday and each day more and more came off. I went on Friday to get a dip powder manicure and the nail tech did about 4 coats of the dip. I told him that I've had thick dip powered before and they always come off within days and to redo them. He didn't listen and the owner said that it's their policy to do 4 coats. I know it's a tactic to just have people come back and spend more $. I told them that I don't live close and it would be a hassle to come back. Of course I was right!! Today is Wednesday and 3 of the nails have come off already!! And the rest of the nails looks like I got them done like 2 weeks ago! That's only 4 full days!!! I spent over $55 for this and that's not including a pedi which the classic pedi is about $35. So with tip it was over $100! Now I have to inconvenience myself and go get it done again because I'm not letting this one slip because they didn't listen to me!!!!! If they give me a brand new set, I will rewrite this post but for now, it's a no for me. I had started going to this place because it was good but obviously it's starting to decline!! Beware!! As promised- I went to go and tell them the issues and the owner was so annoyed and said she'd only fix the 3 nails that were missing. When I showed her that the rest of the nails looked like they were more that 2 weeks old and were practical coming off already, she just shrugged her shoulders and said, "I only fix nails if they off" so I was a little confused so I told her- "the set is so bad I can take them off right now in front of you because that's how bad they are. They are coming off only after 4 days!!" So I took off the rest of the nails so she can fix the whole set. Lol literally, petty af manager. Decided to try a new salon in the area and I had a great experience here! When I walked in, I was immediately greeted and upon question for what this salon could offer me was shown the full menu with prices and options. I knew exactly what I was getting and what it would cost. I got a full set powder manicure with Russell and pedicure with Amy. Perfect color for fall. Highly recommend both of them and this salon. On both occasions the gel polish bubbles up within minutes of me leaving the salon. They would not give a refund even though they do not have it written or displayed as a policy. The manager, Michelle, even threatened to call the cops at the mere fact that I questioned them. I just had the strangest experience here. I go in and I'm lied to out the gate. I ask for a regular polish full set (I'm on a budget right now and can't afford shellac and a decent tip). When I ask for regular polish I get the usual harassment to upgrade to gel. Then my nail tech says same price $50, I'm annoyed bc I know that's wrong. I get the services menu and point out where regular polish is $10 cheaper. We get to the pedicure chair and the other nail tech asks me which pedicure I want, I say basic. They both burst out laughing and I am mortified. I am obviously uncomfortable by the situation. They ask me why I'm not happy and I just go quiet until the end of the Mani pedi. I then decide to upgrade my pedicure and when I said that they offered free gel upgrade, which was very nice. But it didn't really offset the embarrassment I felt having to tell them I'm broke in order to get them off my back. Lastly, I go to check out and try to use the Yelp coupon, they said they don't honor that anymore. Fine, I got a free upgrade whatever. Overall, I left feeling harassed and embarrassed and didn't even get the nail shape I asked for but didn't feel like arguing. Seriously the worst place ever to get your nails done. The management is a nightmare and they treat their employees horribly. I called and made an appointment. When I arrived they said I did not have an appointment, and said I probably called the wrong located. I explained that I didn't and read their phone number back to them, which they confirmed. Then they asked to look at my phone log. Weird/Rude but I did show them. Once I showed them, she said I wasn't on the phone log enough with them. I don't even understand that but okay. Then she said I did have an appointment but because I called for it 30 mins before, it didn't count as an appointment. SO CONFUSING. Her whole attitude and demeanor is so rude every time I go in there. She needs to find a new job and the next one she gets she needs to treat her employees better. I've been going here for about a year. I used to really like this place but it seems like every time I go I get bad/unfriendly service. I normally get the classic pedicure with regular polish. I put oil on my feet everyday before I put my socks on so my feet stay pretty soft. I don't really need nor want the upgraded pedicure. And as soon as I tell them classic they are annoyed and even more when I say I want regular polish and not shellac/gel. The tech will then usually ignore me and basically make me feel like a peasant. Then when I ask for wine they will barely put any in the glass like I don't deserve it because I didn't upgrade my service. Why offer classic service or regular polish if you are going to treat your customers like crap for requesting them? I don't deserve to be treated like I'm not good enough because I don't want to upgrade everything. I'm still paying and tipping. I think the owner should have a serious talk with her employees about how they treat customers or just stop offering classic services and regular polish. Or put a disclaimer on the service menu: WARNING: If you order classic services or want regular polish we will treat you like crap! I'm honestly surprised that the customer service has gotten this bad considering all the potential business from the area. New houses going up everywhere, apartments all around, and businesses everywhere. All these bad reviews can't be helping this salon. I honestly hated to write this review at first but it's not fair to be treated less than because I get regular pedicures and regular polish. Not nice at all! This experience did not go as planned. I was excited to try this salon as I am new to the area and I will not be returning. The customer service in this place was extremely poor. When I walked in I was rushed in choosing my colors so I was unable to choose a mani color upon sitting down. Once my toes were completed I was asked what color I wanted even though the tech wouldn't let me choose. She brought back two of the six color wheel options of just pink colors after I told her I wasn't interested in a nude or light pink color option. After choosing my color she seemed irritated with the time it took even though it was about 2 minutes in length. She begins putting the color on and it didn't match the color I had selected at all. I told her this and she began to whine and argue with me "it's the same! it's the same". She called her manager over who proceeded to say the same, the color comparison is below. As you can see, it's nothing alike and exactly what I said I didn't want. I asked if I could pick out a different color when only one nail was completed and after two minutes of looking she sighed looking at her phone and spoke to her manager without me understanding. Her manager told me that if i'm going to look for a new color, I can wait 15 minutes and get a new nail tech. After I looked for ONLY 2 minutes and I am the customer. I told her that I would not be waiting 15 minutes and she scoffed at me and said "well then you have 5 minutes" and rolled her eyes at me. I ended up just keeping the same color because I was done with this treatment. The manager then began circling around giving dirty looks and spying on me after this occurred, which was highly inappropriate. The manicure itself isn't poor, but the treatment and harassment was ridiculous. The color is completely off, she didn't clean off my hands from all of the nail removal product, there are splotches in the wrong color, and there was no apology or recognition for the poor behavior at all. If you want the wrong color, no voice during your appointment, harassment, and for the people to talk poorly about you during your appointment go to this Nails of America off of Loop 336! read more

Nails of America 336 was my go to place for over a year now and here lately the service has started to decline. I come in every two weeks and do the exact same thing each time. Yesterday, the drill kept shutting off while my technician was trying to do my nails and each time it would shut off he would readjust how he was holding it and it would start working again. After about 15 minutes of this happening, he started to become frustrated and proceeded to yank the machine, when he did the drill was on and he cut the top of my hand with the sharp tip of the drill. My hand started bleeding instantly and not once did he offer me anything to clean it or attempt to stop it from bleeding. I am very unhappy with the service and I think it's time to switch salons.. read more
