Baccalà! Italian for codfish... Their dessert called Ferrer Rocher is made with Baccalà. If this is a seafood that you like, you may be interested in trying it as one of the eclectic palate adventures on your list. There was a special menu the night we dined here. A four-course meal and an entire bottle of wine was 23€. That's a deal, especially with seafood! The dishes included pizza fritta, calamarata, and filetto. Their chef really put creativity into the ingredients! I loved the menu, but the flavor of cod wasn't prominent. It isn't a pungent fish, so it's understandable that the flavor was subtle. The most interesting part was their dessert called Ferrer Rocher made with Baccalà. This fancy flair came with a raspberry reduction sauce. Dip or drizzle? Neither for me. The concoction was truly distinctive, however I might've liked it with a creamy, and not fruity sauce. Regardless, I ate it. The interior of the restaurant is a bit claustrophobic, but has lots of natural tones. The building stones are visible in the interior. Pretty nice! Note that WiFi isn't available in the far back, past the bar. We moved outside. Outdoor seating is pleasant in autumn. Just a note they filter their own water, so it isn't bottled. I was determined to eat at only local spots. NO tourist restaurants. Lol The major trouble was, being my first time in Italy, I was going to hit major attractions. And unfortunately, tourist attractions mean tourist restaurants. But I was determined. And with this restaurant, I succeeded in finding a real neighborhood, locals spot. The owner greeted us warmly & sat us down at the counter while we waited for a table outside. And even when a couple, who were clearly regulars, just took the table without checking inside with her first, she quickly let them know that we had been waiting for that table. Being that it was more than obvious we were tourists, that was greatly appreciated. We were given complimentary nibbles while we were waiting. And our Aperol spritzes were very generous. Smoked fish, risotto, & octopus & potato flan rounded out our meal. I loved the flan! But the risotto was my favorite. The simple things are the hardest to get right. The only dish that was sub par was the dessert. This panna cotta just did not have the creaminess that my panna cotta dreams are made of. A bit of a disappointment. There was a snafu with the credit card machine, as in it was not working. Majorly inconvenient. But both the owner & our server were very apologetic about the whole thing. Stuff happens. Highly recommended if you find yourself in central Naples. 4 stars. read more

This is mainly for amazing service and tiramisu. We arrived from Firenze and most restaurants were closed for mid afternoon lul but this one had kitchen open 24 hours. Chef makes everything fresh and the service was beautiful. Our waitress was so sweet and she gave us many recommendations for food and bars in Napoli. So refreshing as people in Firenze and food service was much colder. A huge shout out for the tiramisu as it was the best one we tried out of 3 during our stay in Italy. It's made daily and perfect for the sweet tooth craving. read more

This was my first meal in Italy, and it did not disappoint. The waitstaff was very nice when my friend and I did not understand the menu, and even tried to explain the Italian menu before showing us the English menu. We had the prosciutto and mozzarella as an appetizer to split, and both had delicious pasta dishes for our main course. We asked the waitress for what she recommended for dessert, and the tiramisu was outstanding. It was so close to our hotel (across the street), so it was easy. Would definitely recommend!!!!
