Fantastic place for your child. Teachers and school Director are so warm, transparent and professional. They made me feel that my child is very well taken care of and in excellent hands. I was hesitant at first to leave my 10 month old but after the first day of anxiety I never doubted the care and love he's getting. Registered at new school/location. Director has very high standards, extremely professional, always smiling, amazingly enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. I was blown away by the experience under her belt. We toured the entire school although under construction. I see her vision. We also met the owner and everybody was getting their hands dirty helping put cots together for their students. I'm a teacher and the curriculum is exactly what I want my daughter to learn from. She's 2.5 years old, however early skill sets are very important. You must all register. Truly. My daughter has been in this school for a year. I always though the school was a little to large for such young kids (my daughter started at two), but since she was adapting well to it I decided to stay. It always seemed as the parent-teacher relationships were a little distant, in over a year I've had 1 parent-teacher official meeting and it was a power point presentation by the principal. The real issue began this year with a teacher named Ma. Paulina, I started receiving calls "please pick her up we can't handle her". They suggested I go with a therapist and followed advised. Then one day when I went to pick her up I find her crying in the principal'd office and they stated she was suspended due to aggressive behavior. When I asked to see videos they stated they could't find them. Lucky I can afford a better school for my daughter to attend, but it makes me wonder, what if this was a child going through as touch situation at home, isn't the school role to provide a safe place for them? Isn't their job to advocate for children? In my experience this school doesn't have the tools or even the knowledge of child development to provide children with the nurture they need, oh by the way I'm a licensed mental health therapist, so I kind of know what I'm talking read more

The teachers here go out of their way to make the children feel welcomed, valued and appreciated. My child comes home every day with the biggest smile on her face. So many congratulate me on how well behaved and smart my child is, but I have to also give credit to a school that prioritizes structure, education, and social engagement between the children. Both of my daughters absolutely love Nana's. I can't emphasize enough how happy me and my wife are with the program, the place is super clean and has incredible facilities. It's a great place to send your kids to. Theyvare very education focused, I love how every week something new is gong on in terms, international weeks, career weeks. I know kids are little and they have to play to so there's plenty of that as well. Food is good, you can purchase meals for the week. Teachers seem very professional and nice. Very happy with our choice as we have been to many day cares/kindergartens in the area. This is a top place, can't believe the reviews in seeing here. Amazing school! My two daughters go there with pleasure. my kids speak Russian and for me was very important to learn English for them, in 3 weeks they began to speak, a lot of new words for me it's a big surprise! Wow! I am so happy I chose this daycare! I had to go back to work after 12 weeks with my first child and I was very nervous to put her in daycare. I am so happy I trusted Nanas Preschool with caring for my baby. The teachers are amazing and they do so many cool sensory and learning activities with the babies. The best decision i ever made for my 5yrs old son was putting him at NANA'S for their wonderful VPK program . He has been there for 7 weeks and has learn more than the whole year he was at his old preschool , he has not only has improve academically but also socially is more than ready to star his kindergarten. Tried a couple of schools for my 3 year old and Nanas is by far the best. The staff is very friendly and helped my daughter finally enjoy going to school. Ms.Maru and Ms. Paulina have done an amazing job as well and have really gone out of their way with my daughter. read more

5 for management. 3 for everyday experience. Summer camp at Nana's was fine, but with the beginning of the school year a nightmare started. Complains and negative comments began every day. Some of complains from one teacher were reasonable though, I really appreciated her work on important issues that mattered, I took it seriously and cooperated. But besides reasonable things I heard a lot of negative nonconstructive and sometimes even nonsense comments from another teacher that just puzzled me. for example, she complained that 3 year old child "wanted just to play all the time", "never participated in activities", "Didn't listen", "wasn't focused", "was very dispersed" and so on and on, every day. "didn't want to draw a portrait by Van Gogh" which looked like a scary black-grey cutted to pieces corpse to me. No wonder. why did they give it to children? Everything in my child they found was bad. Besides it was strange, I had an impression that they probably personally didn't like her and even would love if we just quit. Or they were really lack of knowledge. It was like constant psychological pressure. Previously my daughter attended a summer camp in another preschool also, and I didn't experience negative at all. Everything was smooth and perfect. So I was bewildered. Attitude to activities was strange. If a child didn't find it interesting at that moment, teachers would complain on him and blame a child, that he didn't have focus, attention or whatever. It is easier to blame a child, than to find approaches and make it interesting. I was able to teach my child a lot of things. She already knew the whole their program. Probably because I made it interesting, she participated in all educational activities that I offered. So it was strange when they told me that she never participated, wasn't focused and so on. Atmosphere was like in an army. It is not a warm family stile. It is rather a distant observance stile. It is more about discipline, following commands, instructions, chores on schedule. They don't have time for comforting someone and complain all the time. There was no real help during drop off also, comparing with experience that I had in another place. They just stand and observe how a parent sometimes struggles to persuade a child that it will be fun to stay. Only once one of the teachers took my daughter's arm and asked her if she wanted to see something interesting. Thank her for that. They said that they were continually helping me with drop off. May be they thought that saying good morning was already a help, I don't know. So it looked like a lack of psychological approach (or may be love and heart) and knowledge. Tense atmosphere, making problems of everything. On the contrary Gabriella the director made a very good impression on me, she is professional, reasonable, calm, truly cares if everything is fine with children and parents, she takes efforts to make things better there. she is available if you have any concerns. instead of blaming us in all sins on earth, she gave me good pieces of advice on important issues how to go through this 3 year old age. Her thoughts and opinions were really like a breeze of fresh air and I felt relief after conversation with her. And everybody in the office were very nice. I also felt relief when it was time to leave. I think teachers felt relief too. I wish they could see bright side of things, not just concentrate on negative all the time, have more knowledge, be more aware how to find approach to children, not just blame them. That will make atmosphere warmer and transition to the school year smoother. read more

My son has been going to Nana's for the past three years and he loves it! He actually gets very upset on weekends when there is no school. The teachers are all very friendly and they seem to be genuinely interested in the children. The women in the office are all fantastic! I would have given 5 stars but one thing is holding me back.....because most of the teachers first language is Spanish, there are times when my son comes home saying some words in English improperly so I have to correct him which causes confusion for him. I have never faced such a horrible attitude towards parents and their kids!! My daughter started this daycare at 2 years old after spending most of the time with her grandmother at home. We are both working parents and have to spend long hours at work,that's why we decided that we need to start a daycare so that our daughter will socialize more and become more independent. We liked the place and people seemed nice the first day - of course as they need to enroll you and take your money! After they were done with the process they got mean. They would not smile or say hi anymore they would see me or my husband. Every time I would come in to the director's office to ask a question-I would be given a look like I was asking something so stupid that I was not even worth wasting her time for. But let's get to the interesting part: After the first 2 weeks of school my daughter gets a bad cold-which is normal and we expected that to happen. unfortunately she had to stay home for the next week to get better. Then she comes back to school and we get a call 2 hours after we dropped her off from the director saying to pick her up because she is crying too much!!! And next day again,then again! Basically we were paying for an extended program till 6pm due to our longer hours at work and had to pick her up 2-3 hours after dropping her off almost every day!then the principal called and said that if my daughter does not get better in 2 weeks with her behaviors -we will have to go through an evaluation process and find a "solution". Basically telling me that we will have to find another school! For me it was a shock, my daughter just missed the whole week of school being sick and she only attended the school prior to that for 2 weeks!!!! It takes at least a month for kids to get used to school especially for that age. Do they even try to make it easier for her? What kind of "professionals" are they?? It seemed like they did not want to be bothered by a child that cries and misses her parents! The funniest thing is that every time we would come to pick her up we would see our kid totally normal seating and painting or playing with kids!! The "best"part happens when they tell us that their building will be taken down and they are moving. They let us know 3 days before closing the school! The school was supposed to be closed for the entire month inconveniencing parents to find places to keep their kids at! Then at the playground we find out from our neighbour that Nana's moved kids to another daycare temporarily and never told us!!! When we called the other daycare after 3 weeks of waiting we were told that they have 2 years old kids from Nanas there-which means that they told only people they wanted to tell. When I called the principal and wanted to speak to her, she was rude and kept cutting me off not letting me say what I had to say. We switched the daycare right after that and my daughter got adjusted pretty quickly: she is not crying and is excited to go there. I guess someone knows how to do their job! We never faced anything like that before and are deeply disappointed with they way Nanas handles their business and treats the kids and their parents. Worst experience ever and got more stress than anything else. read more

The school is closing this Friday and advised the families on Tuesday knowing the lease for their building was over and not renewed due to the fact that they have a new location and thought that place would be done on time. This is piss poor treatment for people who have children enrolled in their school. Mothers and fathers to scramble to find a place to take their children. Then the bigger insult is the letter they send to you saying you will not be billed for the week and the take your money anyway. No one there has respect for the parents and this is unacceptable !! read more

My child started there when she was 17 mths old. I will start with the pros: it's clean, The rooms are large and organized with lots of toys and books and the playground is nice and large. The hours are good and the price is reasonable. Now for the cons: on the 2nd day of school, I asked how my child was and I was told by the non smiling and cold "teacher" that she is an ok kid. ( really after only 2 days): after a week this same person said that she had to help glue something to the paper (I'm just happy she didn't eat it): after a month, at 18 mths I was told by this same person that she had to help her hold scissors(umm developmentally not supposed to be able to hold scissors yet): Every day there was always a negative comment. After a month of dropping my daughter off to a non friendly greeting ( I was sick in my stomach every day that I dropped her off but figured I would give it some time), I spoke to the director. They apologized and had another woman greet us in the morning and she was wonderful. She was warm and loving and made me feel like my daughter was being loved. The 3rd teacher in the class was never consistent for whatever the reason. After 9 mths, we were told that my daughter would not be asked back for the upcoming year. They said she has emotional and behavioral issues. She is a biter, cries every day, wanted her blankie all of the time and didn't want to do the activities sometimes. They had wanted her evaluated previously and I called the people they referred me too. Those referrals along with pediatrician, child psychiatrist, psychologist , other preschool teachers and parents all said this is normal behavior for a 2 yr old. I was also told that my daughter wouldn't be crying for mommy after 9 mths if she felt comfortable there. Oh and on the last wk there, she was put in time out for not wanting to do an activity. They don't know what normal developmental and behavioral stages are for a toddler. They didn't want to be bothered. I have been told you can't evaluate a 2 yr old for behavioral issues(it's called the terrible two's for a reason) I feel strongly that if she would have had 3 warm and loving teachers from the beginning, she would have been more comfortable. I'm disappointed that I entrusted them to make sure that my daughter was loved and had fun and maybe learned a little. I'm upset that I kept her in that situation for as long as I did. We would have been long gone if it wasn't for the one loving teacher. Many kids may have a good experience there but it wasn't a good one for my daughter and us. read more

This is the worst preschool ever. Starting from the owner who is extremely rude and she is only interested in the money and NOT for the well being of the children. The owner is always in a bad mood to talk to the parents. The teachers are not prepared at all. They don't know how to treat children. Beware of this school. This school deserves no stars. Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. There are people who will complain about EVERYTHING short of their ideals of perfection! My 2 year old is my second child to attend Nanas, and we are thrilled, once again! The school is very academic, but also incredibly age appropriate. My daughter, who was INCREDIBLY clingy is thriving there, and is even potty trained (at school only). They are loving, caring, and yes, they do have high expectations of both the children and parents. The new facility is gorgeous and the atmosphere is fun and caring. Ms. Batya- please check with your director Ms. Terry as she called me back apologizing for the charge of $150 for tuition on 8/17 and refunded it immediately. I spoke with Ms Natalia first at your front desk and she gave the message. I left Nana's the end of July. If crying for mommy is a red flag at 2 years old to Nana's so be it but I was not going to stay at your school to receive services?? from someone who did not even know where your school was located or anything about your preschool. Seems very odd. I did sit down in a meeting explaining my concerns and why my daughter wasn't returning. Ms. Gabriella and Ms. Terry were both in the meeting with me which probably lasted almost an hour. I honestly feel Ms. Gabriella understood my concerns and how I was unhappy with my daughters stay there. She asked me to let her know if my daughter would adjust somewhere else because may be there was something she could improve at Nana's. I thought that was very professional. My daughter in fact is happy and adjusted to her new school so why on earth would I give Nana's 4 weeks notice when your school wasn't a good fit for us and my daughter was unhappy. Btw the spelling of her name was corrected when I said something. But it never was on her cubby in the first classroom you had her in FYI. read more
