In addition, when she has ordered tests for me or made referrals it gets done. I've heard many comments over the years by other staff who also hold her in high regards. I was very happy to follow Dr. Stowe to TMP. She along with the other doctors and staff here really do care and give a high level of care to their patients. I've been to two other TMP offices for labs when SP location was not as convenient to work. No problems with Dr. Stowe getting lab results or x-rays. They accept many plans of insurance (check their website), and have a relationship with Atrium (former CMC/CHS) and Novant Health to suit your preference. I've never had anyone badger me or be rude if I chose to self-pay over using an insurance plan. They share a large parking lot with The Residence Inn. I had no problem with parking. The practice does offer complimentary valet which is very nice should you have physical limitations or poor weather. No surprise there is currently construction on Piedmont Drive South so be aware of trucks, and only one car being able to move through at a time.

Absolutely terrible service. I have never experienced such disorganization with any other clinic…read more The clinic submitted an incorrect medical billing code to our insurance company for one of the components of a complete blood count (CBC), which prevented the test from being covered. I spent more than a month dealing with this issue and trying to get it resolved. Our insurance company specifically asked the clinic to contact them so they could work together to identify the correct billing code and resolve the problem. However, the clinic showed complete indifference and ignored the issue. They didn't even attempt to help, simply saying, "We don't know, we don't have any other codes." In the end, because of the clinic's mistake and lack of concern, I had to pay the bill out of my own pocket, even though it should have been covered by insurance.

I absolutely love everyone at Lincoln Internal Medicine. (Bonus for me no more driving to…read moreCharlotte for appointments.) Stacy Herrin is my treating source (more on her below) and I love her. The first and maybe last person you see on your visit is the receptionist/ scheduler. I almost always see Della Sitterly. I do not know where she gets her patience; she's probably only helped me set up my portal five times. (I am going for a record). She works with everyone on upcoming appointments and never fails to go back and check on that one piece of information someone (me) forgot to remember. No sigh of frustration, just kindness whether on phone or in person. Then, if Stacy is your FNP, Megan Poole is your nurse. She continues the pattern of patience and kindness, as she takes your vitals, writes down questions and chats so you never feel rushed or inconvenient. She always seems to have cool new shoes or a nifty scrubs outfit. What I really like, is if my BP is unusually high first time around, she just quietly moves onto other things to give me time to settle in and, surprisingly, second times the charm and my numbers come down. I really appreciate that. Stacy Herrin, DNP, FNP-C is my treating source. She is kind, non judgemental, LISTENS, makes time to answer questions and amazingly seems to be familiar with my file before entering the room. Stacy follows up, recommends action or specialists if needed, is always responsive to me asking for refills or having a question O forgot to ask. And I don't think she has ever been late for my appointment (I know sometimes that's just an occupational hazard). Again, I never feel rushed or too much trouble. Calm, respectful, consideration with a touch of humor seems to be a personnel characteristic. I am older, so my life seems to be full of doctors appointments and we see each other a few times a year. I always look forward to seeing everyone. Highly recommend the Lincoln Internal Medicine for your family. I am sure everyone there provides the same excellent service.

They have helped me develop the health care plan that fits me perfectly. Got questions? Ask. The doctors take the time to listen & explain the answers. Nowadays, that's rare.

Their pollen counter in South park is the only local one and used by local media in tv weather reporting!!!!! Patients can't get through. You can be on the phone for over an hour and caught in an endless Interactive Voice Response loop where no one picks up the phone. Or you can leave your number to hold your place in line for someone to call you back, but no one will call you back. If you call the on-call doctor, don't count on hearing from them that day. Want to talk to your MD's nurse? It won't happen. The technology patients must contend with is non-existent. If the patient-facing technology is missing, what is missing on the clinical side? The patient receives no after-visit summaries and does not have access to clinical notes in the medical chart. The MD can make multiple recommendations, but don't expect to receive them in writing. If you ask for them, you might be given a sticky note with 3 of 10 discussed handwritten abbreviated recommendations. There is no messaging your MD directly from the medical chart. The online portal only allows for general messages only - you cannot pull up your physician's name on a drop-down menu for a direct message. This medical organization hurts themselves and the patient by not investing in technology for the benefit of the patient. I am in misery due to a severe case of hives that I have had for over 5 months now. I have had 3 appointments at Carolina Asthma and Allergy (CAA), with little abatement of the symptoms that go away and recur. It feels as if I have been attacked by swarms of fire ants (refer to photo). I strengthened my resolve to try one last time to contact the clinical staff at CAA. After waiting on hold for 45 minutes and leaving a message with an actual person, I again failed to hear back from my provider and that was a week and a half ago. How you can run a business this way, much less a medical practice where patients rely on the doctors, is beyond me. It isn't doctor-specific because two different doctors have failed to return my calls. Let's just say it is a good thing you aren't a poison control center.
