This venue is located a block north of Bay and College. The establishment is nice and spacious, and I love how efficient the restaurant is operated. The service was speedy and the servers were super attentive. Food wise, it was on the saltier side. Pro: Free on premise wifi

Great food, great location, great service! We know what to expect when I come to Nando's and that's juicy chicken and yummy sides!! It's always so great to eat at this Nando's on Bay Street. They're consistently good and have a large dining area to sit in. The to-go vibe that Nando's has is convenient and means that you can also be in and out as quickly or as slowly as you'd like. Their service is fine, but I think it's gotten worse over time, it used to be really good! They have a "platter deal" going on now which came with lots of fries, rice, garlic bread, 2 full chicken for $34.99. A really good deal compared to their usual menu. We always order the medium and like to order a drink on the side with ice (Nando's has the "good ice" ifykyk!!! ). They have drink fountains all over the restaurant so it makes it really easy for customers. We also looove the option to have tons of sauce on the side with sauce bottles available to take to your table, and hand washing stations around the restaurant.

1/4 chicken (leg and thigh) with Peri fries and roasted cauliflower

It's been a few years since I've been to Nando's since I live in the States, so I was excited to go back! I went for a quick lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered 1/4 chicken (leg/thigh) with two sides: the Peri fries and the roasted cauliflower. The chicken was good, but quite a small piece. The fries were a bland and cardboard-esque. The sweet chili sauce that coated the cauliflower was overpowering and too sweet. Overall, the food just wasn't as good as I remembered. The decor is really nice for a fast-casual restaurant. The service was fine-- more-or-less what you'd expect.

This Nando's location is really nice, it's spacey and has great service. The food was good as always though I wish they had even more sauce selection for in-store dining. The egg tarts are so underrated! I would definitely get these again next time

Half Chicken was clutch and set the tone for the trip.

Nando's is always a winner. Good, clean, simple, and delicious. Whether the 10 wings, or the half chicken, Nando's gets the job done. Don't miss out when one is near.

2 legs & peri fries

I cant believe the chicken was sacrificed for this . To be fair the chicken was cooked well as in it wasnt dry - however there was no flavour to it. The sauces really deteriorated in taste since the last time I went here at the beginning of 2024. The two dishes we got were garlic bread and 2 chicken legs with peri fries. The total cost was $20 (and this is without HST!) You can get an entire chicken at Costco for $8 which is also cooked really well. As seen in the photo the portion sizes were also small and the garlic bread looked like it had been squished by a steamroller. The resturant seating and staff were really nice (so two star). Due to not many people being in the restaurant they gave us a booth to sit in upon request. Will most likely not be going back again unless I crave rotisserie chicken and want to eat at a restaurant.

1/2 Chicken w/ Garlic Mashed Potatoes & PERi Mac (front), Chicken Sandwich (Lemon & Herb) w/ PERi-Fries & Coleslaw (back), & Garlic Bread

I heard this place is a popular South African chain that is known for their flame-grilled peri-peri style chicken and sauces, so I knew I had to try it while I was visiting Canada! I went here on a Monday for dinner around 8:45pm and there was a short wait. We ended ordering the Chicken Sandwich (Lemon & Herb) with PERi-Fries & Coleslaw, 1/2 Chicken with Garlic Mashed Potatoes & PERi Mac, and also the Garlic Bread. We wanted to try a good variety of items while we were there. They also have a hot sauce bottle at each table, but that hot sauce was a bit too spicy for me (I have a low spice tolerance). The hot sauce flavor was good though! The mashed potatoes were thick which is something I enjoy and the macaroni was very cheesy and creamy and I love when my macaroni is like that. I also loved how moist and tender the chicken was and the garlic bread tasted like the typical garlic bread. The fries and the coleslaw just tasted like the typical fries and coleslaw, but I did like how thick and crispy the fries were. I'd recommend this place, but don't expect too much. The food tasted good, but didn't feel like there's anything special about it.

Full Platter

Had their Full Platter--whole chicken, fries, salad, and garlic bread-- the PERi-PERi seasoning rocked my taste buds, but the chicken was a tad dry, like it took a stroll in the desert. Sides were stellar, though--crispy fries, fresh salad, and aromatic garlic bread.

European style ordering, so you order at the counter, pay first, tell cashier your table #, your food will be brought to your table when done. There are sauce bottles you can grab from the condiments stand, utensils and napkins you have to pick up too. Don't forget to pick up a bottle of water and glasses at the cashier if you need. We had buy one get one free coupon so I shared with another person. You can pick chicken thigh or the breast meat for a extra charge. I picked breast meat, it's a bit bigger than the dark meat plate. I was pretty full. At first not too many people but later on it had gotten packed. We had a big party so we sat at a round table, half had bench, the other half had chairs. We enjoyed our conversations. I liked the garlic sauce and extra spicy sauce, even though the hot sauce wasn't that spicy.

Ordered via website and was pleased with the food. The only complaint was that the food should have been labelled. It's hard to determine when multiple orders are in the same bag.

Just a heads up though, if you order "mild" it is still definitely spicy, but in a good way. That said, the service was a big downside. When I went with friends, the place was not even busy, but it still took about 20 minutes for our food to come out (yes I counted because we were in a rush). We only ordered two tenders with no drink. For something that feels like fast food, that is pretty unreasonable. I also went specifically to try the mozzarella sticks, but we were told they had not even started making them and it would take another 40 minutes, which is kind of wild. Even when our food was ready, things moved really slowly. The cashier took SEVERAL minutes just labeling and staring at each box, even though we all ordered the same thing, and then another minute just to put everything into a paper bag. Maybe it was his first day? Another frustrating part was that the washrooms were locked, so we could not even use them while we were there, which was a mild inconvenience, but I think bathroom access in a spicy chicken shop is a bit crucial. On top of that, it is pretty expensive for what you get. Overall, the food is the only thing really saving this place. It tastes incredible, but because of the slow service, locked washrooms, and high prices, I probably would not go back.

Pleasantly surprised my the carbonation to syrup mix in their fountain machine (it was actually good). Overall, my experience was alright. Nothing screamed out "Oh I have to go again!" or "let me tell…read moresomeone about this!". The piece of chicken on my sandwich was a rather peculiar piece in terms of its shape. It did not provide an enjoyable eating experience. When I took my first bite, after figuring out which would be an easy bite, a piece of chicken fell out which made me realize it was two separate pieces of chicken inbetween two buns. It got rather messy after having to pick up the fallen pieces. Other than that, it was flavorful but wasn't the best I've had. I prefer Dave's Hot Chicken over this. My fries were pretty salty. If given the option, I would have requested lightly salted or no salt at all. Space was small but understandable as it seemed to be a carry-out spot. Customer service wasn't quite all that. The girl took our order and that was it. Not much of a greeting nor farewell/thanks for coming. We didn't receive a follow-up during our meal to see if we may needed anything. I would have benefited from extra napkins. My friend enjoyed his meal. He stated it was a good meal but he wouldn't go out of his way to get this. He would have preferred to uber-eats it if he lived here. What made me want to go was the name. My last name is the same as the restaurant name so I figured give it a go! Also saw positive reviews on TikTok.

Same concept and menu as the Queen Street location. Friendly and welcoming as soon I enter the restaurant. Great for small groups and solo diners as well. No liquor license at this location unfortunately. Hopefully next time I'll be able to enjoy my ramen with a pint of beer. You can view the menu via QR code and order using the order sheet provided. Very easy and efficient way to place your order. I got my usual, Signature Tonkotsu ($16) with a flavoured egg (+$3). It did not disappoint. Very good and flavourful broth without being too salty. A+ for the noodles and added to garlic which enhanced overall taste. Highly recommend checking out this ramen spot! Great addition to Yonge and Dundas.

This location is newer but retains the same seating format inside as its predecessors. First thing I noticed sitting down was how inflation absolutely drove these prices through the roof since the last time I had a bowl. Got myself a tonkotsu broth (totally missed the gyokai option ... only realized once I started eating and casually glanced back over at my sheet). Added premium toppings and held off on the gyozas this time around. Some things to note. They removed some condiments from the table. The pickled ginger, bamboo, mustard greens and garlic all used to be available ON the table for me to grab as a customer. Now the waitress just asks you if you want them when she's grabbing your order sheet. I think they should revert to having those items back on the table. I'm still able to grind my own sesame seeds into my ramen at the table which is great. Taste-wise, the bowl was delicious and reconfirmed to me why Ikkousha belongs in my top 5 list for toronto ramen. Value though? That's another story... My bowl of ramen with premium toppings and a serving of extra noodles was ~ $30 after tax and tip which is wild tbh. I don't think any other ramen place is charging that or more except Hokkaido Ramen Santouka (which I would argue has debatable value as a diner because of their super small portions). Yes, as a resto owner you account for inflation but I can't help feeling that the current pricing has gone past the inflation curve. 5 star ramen, 2 star pricing/value. The quality was excellent hence the 5 stars, but mentally I HAVE to drop a star because the price is just too high to ignore.
