Keep driving. Problem starts at front desk. Two assistants talking over each other with a pharmacy's on hold music playing on phone speaker while I'm trying to check in. It took three people to get my medication in the system. They all asked questions with their back to me. I couldn't hear them or understand the questions. If I wasn't in pain and worried, I would have left. I interrupted them to remind them I was in pain. They asked for a urine sample. Bathroom is dark because one of the light bulbs is missing. Paint is worn off the back of the exam doors by doorknob. I was seen by a PA (I think it was a PA). Very thorough and nice. I left with a script for an X-ray but now I am sitting waiting on them to send a new script because the PA's credentials are not on the script. I hope they send it before the radiology dept closes. This was hands down the worst medical experience I've ever had. I waited in the office for three hours with zero communication or movement from the staff. On a follow-up call, I was told to come back in just for a signature to avoid the same wait, only to find out that it had to be a specific provider--meaning yet another unnecessary trip. While the provider was friendly, there's something fundamentally broken about how this office is run. It's clear from other reviews that these issues are not isolated incidents; the same complaints keep coming up. A simple physical test has turned into a weeks-long ordeal, and I still haven't gotten what I need. They seriously need an office administrator who knows how to run a medical practice. read more

The husband and MIL came here last week for a rapid COVID and PCR test. When there, the practitioner told them PCR is taking an average of 3 days to get results. Rapid test results came back within minutes of course... but it is currently day 7 of waiting for the PCR. Voicemail says to contact them back if results not back in 14 days. We messaged them and got a reply that lab results take an average of 10 days plus an additional 3 for COVID tests. By then quarantine is over. What's the point of that. And if people didn't quarantine because they didn't know they're positive, they would've been the spreaders. Will never come here again nor would we recommend to others. Update: Day 9 and counting... Update: Day 11 and counting... Update: PCR results finally received on Day 13! You see the message below from the business customer service who said they will contact me? There's zero attempt what so ever. How are they supposed to contact when they don't even know the name of my husband nor mother in law? I made an appointment by phone for a Typhoid vaccination which I was told would be $250. They call me back one hour later apologizing it would be $300. When I arrived the receptionist said he had to check with the office on the price. I mentioned the earlier conversations. he made a call and after ten minutes informed me it would be an additional $175 for the office visit. Upon leaving I informed him there would be an excellent review the left and made the appointment with a Travel clinic for $325 the next morning. How dare they!!! read more

Normally, the service experience here is non-existent, but I was helped by Joanna (I think that was the receptionist's name). Let me just say-- Joanna, you made my experience so good, simple, and informative. Especially during a time like COVID, she was so accommodating to my needs and the nurse who helped me get tested was also amazing! There were two "higher-position" looking employees who didn't give me much help... After getting tested, the two walked in, said a few generic words, and said I was good to go. They took like a long 2-hour lunch break in the back office while Joanna helped me right away after her break. (Even though my brother initially had to cancel the appointment due to an urgent matter, we came back an hour later the same day, and she made the time for us.) I would like to let all know that I've had great experiences with the reception staff at Hicksville. They are as kind and considerate as anyone could be, especially under the current pandemic circumstances. The treating staff were good, in my opinion, but not all of the equipment seemed to work well. Their testing procedures did work well. The phone number (and only number I could find) is just so-so. The messages for the COVID test results made no sense. After not receiving the test result as quickly as promised on the app or the site, I tried calling. The message on the phone was to wait 14 days for the result to appear. I didn't hear the rest of the message as I hung up when I heard 14 days. What is the point of a PCR test that expires in 3 days if they will not help until 14 days have gone by? I ended up going back to the Hicksville office and explained the issue to the person at the front desk. She said she would call the lab and ask and she did so. She told me the result would appear in the app by the end of the day (which was a Saturday) and it did. Kudos again to the office staff! The booking website is not easy to use and will take you to another website, which is different than their patient portal, so at least three websites and an app. Using multiple websites with multiple logins is confusing at best, confounding at worst. I had to make my most recent appointment by phone, as my account is blocked. I tried resetting my password to no avail. The app is OK, but not great. It has a lot of menus with no content, and announcements from years ago, which should be removed/updated. I tried to provide feedback, as they requested, by clicking a link in my email but after waiting a minute or two, it tells me I'm not authorized to access the website. The star rating is a mix; the staff gets 5 stars, the booking/retrieving info websites & app get 2; the phone number gets 3 as when you speak to a person, they do help. read more

Formerly Stat care now called Nao urgent care. The ladies at the front desk always helpful and nice. I've had issues with the labs before and they've always corrected the issues. This is my go to urgent care. They also have an online booking system that is very simple. Highly recommend! read more

This place is ridiculous. I first made my appointment on the day of a snowstorm. I understand that it had to be moved. This is a crazy time. I get it. I had to call them though to reschedule. It was made for 830am the next day. I was there early. I signed in online with my form then signed in when I got there. I waited for well over an hour before asking if I was forgotten about. I was. Again, it happens. My real issue is I get an email a couple of days later scheduling me for a televisit appointment. I was at work and didn't schedule it so I decided to call. I was disconnected at least 7 times after waiting for at least 9 minutes each call. NO ONE answers the phone. I was able to leave a message once.....no one called me back. Try it. I'll guarantee youll be disconnected and you won't get a response. I decided to attend the appointment because I didn't want to be billed and I got a message saying it moved or cancelled when I clicked the link. Today I get another email saying I had an appointment this morning which I DID NOT SCHEDULE. I got a call from Statcare asking if I was attending the appointment. I decided to let the lady know how upset I was with the service and her response was "Thats fine I'll just cancel your appointment" I said specifically "Absolutely NOT, have them call me!" "I want to talk about my lab results." "Do not cancel my appointment!" Needless to say 20 minutes after the scheduled appointment today no one has called and the link says my appointment was cancelled! This is unacceptable and a waste of my time. Im sure they feel their time is valuable. Mine is as well. If I missed an appointment, I'm sure I'd be billed. I wasted well over three hours dealing with this Mickey Mouse show of a facility. I would never treat someone like that. To just say "Fine I'll just cancel your appointment" is rude and not in the best interest for the patient. Again I understand this is a crazy time but I've never seen such a disorganized facility. I wonder if they schedule these appointments just to bill my insurance company? How many people is this happening to. PS. I still havent recieved my lab results 7 days later. I got COVID testing done here probably 4 times total (I only returned because there were no other testing sites taking appointments near me at the time). Each time, making an appointment was incredibly difficult. The online system was difficult to navigate (e.g., hard to find the scheduling system, no communication between the patient information and scheduling systems, etc.), required filling out extensive new patient forms every time (even if you were an existing patient), and didn't offer any confirmation of an appointment being made. Once I was able to make an appointment (or think I made one, seeing as there was no confirmation), I would arrive at least 15 minutes early to each appointment. The waiting room was overcrowded, likely beyond the legal capacity limits, and proper mask-wearing was rarely (if ever) enforced. Front desk staff was overworked, making checking in a hassle. Redundant paperwork would be given, and often, I would wait over an hour past my appointment time (sometimes more). I typically waited outside because the waiting room was so packed. Once the test was given, I was told to wait in my car and that someone would call me in about 15 minutes with my rapid results. On several occasions, that turned into closer than an hour. The worst part: each time, I would opt to get a rapid test and a PCR, but I had trouble getting into the patient portal to see my PCR results. Eventually, I mentioned this to one of the front desk staff and heard that they actually don't even give the results there as they claim to. I believe the exact words were, "I don't see why people even ask for the PCR test since..." To get PCR results, you would need to just walk in a few days later and hope they have them, since they don't really answer the phones. On 01/08/2022 I had a PCR Covid test at the Hicksville location. I was made aware that due to the testing demand it would take 5 to 7 days for results. Here it is 14 days later and no results. I have a Statcare patient portal that I check several times a day, I also check emails to see if any information was sent to me and nothing. When you call their number, only if it's longer than 14 days can you leave a message to get results. I just did this and now have to wait another 24 to 48 hours for them to call. Even if I was positive I am now past the quarantine window. This place is a joke please don't use it. UPDATE: Within an hour of posting my review I received a call and an email with my results. read more

I made an appointment for 9 AM for a rapid COVID test. This is the time they open so I did expect to be seen a little late. The employees started showing up at 8:50 AM. They did not open the doors until 9:20 AM. If I did not need this COVID test for school I would have walked out. I was not seen until 9:45 AM. The test takes 5 seconds then I was asked to wait for 10 minutes and someone would come out regarding my results. I waited 20 minutes and realized I received an email stating that my results were available on the portal so I just walked out. Upon walking out there was a line down the shopping center. The waiting room has almost no chairs to a point where people were sitting on window sills and standing around. They may be having limited chairs due to COVID, but when you're letting way too many people inside at one time you're kinda defeating the entire purpose of this "safety precaution". The waiting room, also, has dead plants in it (if you cant take care of a plant I'm a little worried about you taking care of me). The staff was rude and the woman at the front desk seemed like everyone was bothering her because she had to do her job. There was a very large amount of people walking up to the desk cancelling their appointments because they were waiting over an hour. Side note: They should not be making appointments in 5 minute intervals considering they cannot even open in time. read more

If you have a choice, go elsewhere. It's just pure chaos and no one seems to care. I had a 4:15 appointment for a PCR test, and was told at check in it would be "more like 4:30". Ok, fine, at 4:45pm, I was the only one left in the waiting room and so I went to the desk, only to discover they apparently forgot about me. And only then was I given paperwork to fill out. No one was nice about it. I had questions about how to get my test result, and I was rudely told to read the sign on the wall. (I had read it.) I was told I'd have my PCR results in 2-3 days, and was thus constantly re-logging into their abysmal patient portal. I tried calling because the results weren't there, but you can't reach a person and the phone message says wait *14 days* and keep checking. Finally, about 78 hours after my test, results appeared in the portal. No call, text, or email about them. But a few hours later, I got an email that they had scheduled a telehealth visit for me and the only way I could cancel was to call on the phone and waste another ten minutes- clearly a move to generate unnecessary health insurance billing. I've never seen such a high level of irresponsibility in a medical facility. The receptionists at the desk are great but that's not medical care. You go for a checkup, they don't do bloodwork. You get an x-ray, they refuse to give you the results. You set a followup, the doctor never shows up. You want any help at all, they say make another appointment and then weeks go by without anyone ever allowing you to have an appointment or ever discussing the results of the first appointment. Their only function is to constantly reply with, "Would you like another appointment [that we'll never give you]"? Even a pandemic cannot explain this degree of malfeasance. Any time I have called in to get any information they have been rude and hung up on me. After coming in on Tuesday and being assured that a doctor would be giving me a call promptly, I had to call and wait on hold for over 40 minutes only to be told that a doctor is "too busy" to deal with me. They treat their patients horribly and seem to only care about themselves. Do yourself a favor and don't come here. When the time came for said appointment, I checked in 15 minutes early, was told to wait in my vehicle & someone will call when they're ready for me; only to be told after an hour waiting in my vehicle that my appointment doesn't exist & one was never made. It was only a request that was sent in. My email clearly stated my appointment time, date & that it was confirmed. The front desk lady told me the only thing she was able to do is call the third party & they can send me an email to set an appointment all over again. Yesterday was my second visit to Statcare in the past year. I have to say I am very impressed with the professionalism of the entire staff. The young woman who greeted and registered me was very friendly and helpful. First impressions are important and she made a good one. After registering I had about a 20-30 minute wait, which I did not think was excessive. I was then taken in by an assistant who was also friendly and professional as she went through her questions and took my vitals. The doctor came in before the assistant was even finished. Usually at offices they will come in and then you sit for another 20 minutes, but not here. She asked questions and performed a visual exam. I told her another medication that I had taken and she and the assistant spent a few minutes reviewing it online. She had an alternate diagnosis and prescribed two medications. I used the cream she gave me last night and I am pleased to report that the itching went away for the first time in months. I'm so glad I went in last night. Also, the doctor wisely recommended and gave a specialist referral for follow-up, which was a good idea. On the way out, the young woman at the desk was a big help in getting me a receipt and printing out my referral. I observed her deal with some people who wanted to be seen right away and she ably handled their concerns. In the end, I was in and out in about an hour. Not bad at all. Not even deserving of 1 star. I went in last Thursday for a rapid test. There is not one part of my experience that was organized. From the moment I got there they told me to sit in the car til I got called. An hour went by and I went to reception and she asked if I signed in. I would never have known. Then they told me to go to a room where I waited behind a women who was coughing and was not doing well. Took another 10 minutes standing there. Then I went in the women took my swab and told me they will call me. I can wait outside. No one ever called me. I left figuring I would find out next day. I have called 4 times and got a rep that gave me a run around each time on hold for 15 minutes. It is a week later and I have not gotten a call. PS they revealed they gave me the pcr instead..which I still should have received a result. The online data system shows no results for me as well. I'm astonished in the lack of everything. They should not be allowing this many people inside at the same time. I go inside and the very overwhelmed and annoyed receptionist looks through a stack of papers on her desk, and hands me my rapid results.
