They will accept my husband's insurance for him, but not for me. Every time I show them the paperwork from the insurance, they say that it's wrong and I can't get an appointment or the appointment isn't covered. (They say that Affinity Group and Dr. Tsao are not covered by my insurance - see attached card.) My husband - who has the SAME insurance - has no issues. They've said I can only make appointments using the app, not the website, just lots of random issues have come up over the years. I've been polite and patient through all of this, but it's just too hard and makes no sense. Anyhow, Dr. Tsao is great overall, but I am concerned that she doesn't understand that plants have protein and am looking for a doctor that is a bit more holistic.

When I scheduled my appointment, I explicitly asked for a medication assessment, as suggested by my therapist due to escalating anxiety and depression symptoms. At no point prior to my appointment was I informed that they do not provide that service and the Dr seemed confused about it when I went for my appointment. Long story short, the Dr was completely insensitive to my struggles with anxiety/depression. She suggested I try drawing or hiking because hiking makes her happy, she also said that therapy should be working. Pros - I like that they are able to communicate via text, it's really convenient. Wait time was minimal when I went for my last appointment. Dr suggested a magnesium supplement Calm to help with anxiety. I purchased it and will give it a try. She suggested a referral to a psychiatrist, which would have been helpful know prior to that appointment. I'm sure she's great with some clients, the experience was just horrific for me personally so I will be seeking a new doctor.

She is a Pediatrician at Castro Valley Pediatrics and I think there are better choices of doctors…read morethere besides her. Every time I have brought my son in for a check up, it seems as if she is always rushing to leave and just move to the next patient. Whenever I have concerns, she always seems to brush it off or be short instead of trying to look into things more or at least explain things thoroughly so that when I leave I feel content. I felt like she is the type of doctor who doesn't really care and just wants to get you in and out. I recommend Dr. Hiramatsu and Dr. Ross who both took care of my son for an immediate check up while he was sick. They are both so informative and you could tell they really care about their patients.

The office is very clean and has beautiful views. She has great availability and good investigative processes to find solutions to complex medical issues which is important as we are all different and issues aren't always what they seem. Dr. Fredian personally has found and provided successful treatments for issues where other providers were at a loss. She has been a life saver and I am so grateful to have such a wonderful primary physician who has a true passion for medicine and her patients. I rarely if ever leave bad reviews, but this one was very serious for me. I called Dr Fredian twice to try to book an appointment. She blew me off and sent me to her online patient portal, which did not work. I called to explain that the online system did not work, and she told me to email her. She still would not just take a single moment to make me an appointment herself. I then followed her instructions and emailed her to try to set up an appointment, and she never responded. So I emailed one more time. By the 4th time I reached out, I asked her to please really take me seriously because I was experiencing symptoms that gave me some small discomforts and concern, and I truly felt I needed a doctor, but not an ER. Her response was to call my voicemail and yell at me in my voicemail to just go to Urgent Care and tell me that my email asking for her to please take me seriously was "inappropriate." When I called back and tried to explain that I was not in need of urgent care, but just in need of a regular doctor's appointment, and that urgent care would not be helpful since I did not even have a regular doctor that I could list as my primary doctor, nor had I even seen a doctor at all for a basic visit, she told me that my phone call was "wasting valuable time" she could be spending with her patients. I was pretty shocked to hear that, but tried one more time to explain that I just really wanted to become one of those "valuable patients." I guess I'm only "valuable" if I am already paying into her pocket? When I tried to explain that all I was trying to do was become a patient because she had come well-recommended, and that I was finding it frustrating to try to access her services using the online modality, she hung up on me. What kind of doctor blows off and hangs up on a sick person who is just trying to get an appointment?
