I called Susie's to let her know -- perhaps there was a new groomer who was not proficient with a buzzer, which the wounds clearly indicated had caused the injuries. Instead, she reamed me...saying that no way the injuries were caused at their groomers. Strange, since I had just picked them up from there five minutes earlier! The fact that this was dangerous and they assumed no accountability is scary. Avoid taking your animals here -- they are at risk.

I tell people she just needs patience, and someone with dog experience. I had an out of town meeting for 5 days and I didn't want to leave her at home because if something went wrong I was an 8 hour drive away. I needed to board her for 2 nights because I was able to keep her at the resort the remaining days. I looked online and Vineyard was near town but definitely "in the country" if that makes sense. I had to drive up a one lane dirt road yet it was about 5 miles from my event. I scheduled a tour, and we showed up early with tennis balls. You see, my pup is crazy about fetch and about tug. If you throw a tennis ball, she'll be your friend. The owner was definitely a dog person, and my dog was definitely being particular, but we did the tour and then one of the woman followed us back and tried to get to know my Maisy and Maisy wasn't having it, that is until I gave the woman a tennis ball. Then Maisy was her bestie :) They don't have indoor outdoor kennels where dogs can relieve themselves outside - they do need to be taken out - there are alot of yards, and alot of dogs. They had a bone shaped swimming pool, toddler beds for the dogs to sleep in (if they aren't destructive. You can order a kong, play time, pool time on top of the walks and other outdoor time. If your dog is daycare ok, I think that is part of the boarding experience. Mine isn't so she had 1-1 time with one of the guys who wore her out playing catch. She also got to go swimming. The price was really reasonable and 100% recommend this boarding kennel because my Maisy was happy to see me when I picked her up, but from the pictures they sent, she also had a great time at the kennels.

The experience was a "zero" out of 5. He became infected; I sent in videos of him limping, he was improperly treated. I had to bring him to the Emergency Vet ($$$) as they didn't wrap it (they thought they did, but didn't, couldn't recall if they did stitches/did/didn't?... just a misfire of care all round). The truth is, they botched Tucker's foot, he was in a lot of pain/infected, and they did not own it, feel sorry, or anything. I have switched to amazing new vets since. It's too bad as front office staff, office manager and Dr. S are great. The dew claw dr was nice too, but the result was painfully bad.

After a half an hour I checked on my appt and finally got to see the vet. My cat needed bloodwork done so I waited in the office to find out results. after an hour and 30 min I checked to see what they were and was then told they were not done in the office. There was a total lack of information given to me at the time of the exam. I am so sad to see the office run this way. I have been a customer for over 20 years and have noticed slowly the changes in staff to be not as caring.

Recently he had to get surgery for a small oral tumor, he was in and out in a few hours and back home playing and smiling later that day. The doctor did a great job and we always feel our dog is well taken care of here. They are good about keeping us reminded about upcoming vaccines and check-ups. Our dog is SO excited to come and visit. And a dog that likes coming to the vet makes this vet a good one!

From the start she was sweet, easy to talk to and really takes the time to really listen and pay attention to what you want. She handled our dogs with so much care and confidence and adapted perfectly to each of their special needs without ever making anything feel rushed or difficult. The grooming itself was flawless. All of them came back fluffy, silky, clean, and honestly the happiest I've seen them after grooming in years! Beyond the grooming she also gave us genuinely helpful insight on maintenance care and specific things she noticed with each dog, almost like a personalized care report for every one of them including what to watch for and how to stay ahead of common issues...like are you kidding!!? Both look like they have mange. The manager said the groomer was new. No excuse. Professional groomers should know breed standards.
