There are two forms because they offer two services. If I paid for both they could have. There was no discussion of a hair trim or payment for a grooming services by any means. Second, she admits to cutting his hair. I've added a photo from her Instagram where she admits that she shouldn't cut his hair but wants to 'So Badly!'. Napa Paw Spa did a great job with our animals. We have 2 dogs and a bunny. The dogs were in need of some help one of them has a crazy hair. Paw Spa told me he has 2 coats. They gave both dogs a spa treatment, bath, cut and nail trim. The dogs came out perfect with bow ties and soft and smelled great! They even gave Buster a mohawk at the request of the kids. Wow! My Welsh Springer Spaniel, Luke, got loose and spent his day running through the creek next to our house. When he came back he was absolutely disgusting and covered in burrs. He has long beautiful feathers and curly ears and chest, so he's difficult to groom properly. With groomers in the past they butcher his natural look and he's all in all traumatized by the experience. He was horribly matted so I took the risk and called Napa Paw Spa. Within 5 minutes they were in front of our house. In around 1.5 hours they walked Luke to the front door a happy and new dog! Nicol gave him a beautiful puppy cut while still salvaging his hair, as well as clipped his nails and cleaned his ears. Needless to say, we will be using Napa Paw Spa again. read more

3/4/19 Nichol and Antonio (business owners) treated our 14 yr. old dog "Mister" with care and gentleness. To begin with, Antonio carried a 160 lb. dog into and out of their grooming van; since "Mister" can't use stairs. They made sure he was comfortable and secure. The end result - his coat is soft and fluffy and he smells great. His nails/paws are trimmed beautifully. Nicol and her husband are an exceptional team! My fur baby, Mugen, has always come back happy. Also of great importance, he comes back smelling great and looks more and more handsome with each visit. Whatever shampoo they use is ridiculously good because the clean smell lasts for at least a week! I also love the nail trims they do because the nails are never sharp and my pup no longer sounds like he's trying to tap dance on the tile floors. They take great care of their clients. I love small businesses and I want to give a huge shout out to some new friends I just met. Turd Ferguson (my nickname for Zachie) had a haircut today. I have to say, this little dude is insanely anxious... wigs out about everything. So I tried a new groomer on a recommendation from one of our neighbors across the street. The Paw Spa, its a husband and wife team, they came to our house, hung out with him for a bit, set up shop, washed & cut him, then did his nails, and cleaned up before leaving. Zach was calm and relaxed like I've never seen him with other groomers maybe it's being at home, or the fact dogs know good people... until the nails, but let's be honest, it was still better then I was expecting. After having had Nicol groom buddy 3-4 times I have to come back here and give a proper rating. The first thing that made me leave her was one day that we had scheduled she had shown up to surprise me at my door. It was my bad for having forgotten that it was our scheduled day for grooming but up until this point I had confirmed in email that all was good for his appointment, actually let me retract that statement- it was the second time, it was just this time I wasn't capable of being as flexible. Normally if I had forgotten about an appointment I would bend over backwards to apologize to the groomer and bring Buddy over immediately but there tends to be a phone call from the groomer first- which Nicol can't do for her missed appointments seeing as she is mobile. When I first booked with her she would text me and asked me about his cut and for some pictures for a point of reference. I really appreciated that extra piece of attention. Before the first couple of appointments she would text and confirm the address or another she had to adjust the time to a little later. When she and her partner stood there awkwardly I felt mortified that I had managed to forget and tried to wrap my head around where things went wrong? I hadn't been in my email much because I was flying the day before ‍ Seeing as this was the second time on my bad I had asked her if there was any way she could text me before the appointment if I hadn't responded to the email. She proceeded to say that it was too difficult to remember who to contact immediately after having told me she gets prepared for her clients days in advance. Mind you I do massage and deal with a lot of the same thing and have to call to confirm their appointments because I am going to their home and I don't want this very awkward thing to happen to me. It is part of running a mobile business, you can even pay for some scheduling software to text them as well if calling is really just too time consuming. I have some sprinkles, chocolate and a cherry to top this with why I won't continue using her but some positive notes: her first booking she was very attentive, the second time around I had a gnarly allergic reaction to him post grooming and was curious if she had used something different on him- she made sure to bathe him a second time, thinking that maybe it was the left over hair from cutting him (buddy rocks hair vs. fur). Napa is limited in groomers and she is very easy to book, she gives a great cut. Now for the toppings on this unfortunate sundae. Something that may potentially benefit some is she goes into your house and not in a van. My dog fortunately fits inside my kitchen sink to be bathed and I have an extendable faucet so it worked but I wasn't prepared for this and had to quickly move things from the counter- what if Buddy wasn't 23 lbs? How else would she have washed him? I suppose our bath? Only a slight negative there imo for some dogs that are fearful of the groomer this might be a great option.The thing that bothered me with using my space they also used my towels? There is a reason groomers get paid a certain rate to cover labor and overhead- towels and laundry being one of them. I guess in this circumstance I was paying her to dirty my towels ? Now for the last and hardest thing about this exchange. I take buddy in to bathe him weekly at a self wash station. He hasn't been a fan of me drying his paws off very much but he tolerated it well up until this point. His level of anxiety shot up through the roof and was super sensitive about them almost as if he had an injury. I stopped and looked him over but he was ok so I did my best and took him home. This was shortly before one of the last times they groomed him and it was raining outside so I had them set up inside. I haven't had the opportunity to watch all of the groomers that worked with Buddy but when I saw how he panicked with them it made sense. They were rough with him to get his paws right. If Buddy had been so finicky before this I'd understand but I can't help but wonder. He has his dewclaws still and they are a horrible liability but I wasn't made aware of injury? Perhaps it is just the way they grabbed his paws? I used to be able to ask for his paw and he'd hesitantly give them to me to dry, I can't do this with him 3-4 months later and I am still trying to desensitize him and get him more comfortable again. I fortunately found a groomer who is kind and understanding while she works with us to get him less paw sensitive again and says his reaction is like that of a dog who had been injured before. I wouldn't not recommend Nicol but I wouldn't rate her professionalism well or her grooming table manners towards the dog. read more

Pippy usually never comes home with a dry coat as groomers in the past give up working with her when it comes to drying, but Antonio did perfectly fine with her and she came home smelling amazing. Can't say enough good stuff about Antonio and Nicole. Not only are they reliable, truly caring about my critters (2 cattledogs and a macaw), but they just added a fully equipped mobile grooming salon (van), so likely I'll be adding shampoos for the dogs. My dogs hate going to the groomers, so having the groomer come to us really reduces the stress and reduces the sulking time! Grooming a macaw is not an easy task - Antonio makes it easy by taking the time to connect with my bird and earn his trust. If you're looking for a groomer with an attitude, look no further. Nichol's pricing information is confusing. She asks for a non-refundable deposit upfront which btw, isn't stated on her information and yet you can't get the appt before paying the deposit. I still don't know what her deposit is! She offers several packages with each having two prices. Could one of the prices be the non-refundable deposit? Also, she states there MAY be a travel fee and gives you a two hour window for in home appointment. She sent me a text offering appt a week away. I accepted assuming she received my filled out online forms but she didn't respond to a text about the price of the deposit. No one showed up the day of the appt. and multiple, accusatory emails from her followed. My reviews are usually so positive but this woman wasted my time. I don't know about you but if a groomer has an attitude, I don't want them near my best friend. Update after reading response below: I stand by my review. As for not being accepted because of "workability", I found my new Groomer, Coung's Mobile Pet, the same day and have already written a review on Yelp, as well as other groomers I've enjoyed in various towns I've lived. No one ever called my energy "negative" and is easily proven by the majority of reviews being positive. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review. read more

My dog had never been professionally groomed, just what bathing and nail care we do at home. We had an appointment but they were running late, but texted to let us know.
