We have had the pleasure of owning two beautiful Apricot American Mastiff Pups...SO FAR! from Cameran Pridmore of Capell Creek Kennels. We will NOT buy from any other breeder! She has put in so much hard work, sweat and tears for YEARS, to insure that these pups live up to the highest standards. Each litter is constantly raising the bar over and over again. These pups are very smart and have been bred to have the absolute BEST temperament and are perfectly matched to their owner's lifestyle and preference's. As others have said in previous reviews, Cameran is a very kind and caring person with a ton of knowledge and also a behavior specialist. We highly recommend her as a breeder or for any furbaby hotel stays. Now, a review of the kennels. These are the best, cleanest kennels that we have found. They are very spacious and the doggies feel comfortable in them with plenty of space to roam around. They are set on a nice part of the property protected from the outdoor elements with a nice grass area next to them. Rest assured that your pet will not feel like they are in a prison cell. It's a doggie's paradise!

Cam is THE absolute best! We got our American Mastiff from her a couple of years ago. He is gorgeous but also incredibly well mannered- you can tell that the dogs are bred for behavior as well as health. She is an expert and is always there to offer advice on health, training, and anything else we might need. She is not the kind of person that just washes her hands of the dogs once they're adopted. She stays in touch and makes sure all of her "kids" are in good hands and have the best life possible. We're based in SoCal but we can't wait to take our boy home for a reunion with his family and first "Mamma Cam" one of these days. So thankful for Cam and her services.

Capell Creek American Mastiffs not only produce GORGEOUS puppies/dogs, their ranch is impeccably maintained! Cameran is extremely knowledgable and helpful when it comes to training dogs. She's always been just a phone call away for any questions. She shoots from the hip with honest answers & makes me laugh to add to my dog compulsion. Highly recommend for boarding and as a breeder!

Cameran is an absolutely incredible woman. She is kind, smart, and crazy passionate about breeding American Mastiffs. We have a three month old AM, Olive. She has the best temperament and happens to be gorgeous as well. This is all due to Cameran and her diligence in helping create this breed. We are leaving for a two week vacation and the only way we are able to leave Olive is to know she is going back to stay with her "Auntie Cam". You should see her ranch and kennels! I have never seen kennels so clean! I don't even really want to call them "kennels". They are like 5 star rustic doggie hotels.

He took the time to explain not only what to do but why it works, which helped us feel much more confident continuing the training at home. We've already seen a huge improvement in Jax's behavior after Anthony's 3 week board and training program. He now heels and walks right next to us instead of constantly tugging on the leash, which has made walks so much more enjoyable. He's also much calmer, listens so much better, and is overall becoming a well behaved puppy. It's clear Anthony genuinely cares about the dogs he works with and wants both the puppy and the owner to succeed. We truly appreciate Anthony's help!

As a first-time puppy owner, I wasn't sure what to expect or if puppies just naturally outgrow certain behavioral issues. Either way, this is the only formal training she has ever had, and the results speak for themselves. She came back so incredibly well-behaved. And has reminded well behaved. When we go out in public, people always come up to see her because she's cute, but what they *constantly* comment on is how exceptionally well-behaved she is for an 8-month-old puppy. It is so validating to hear that from strangers! I love and fully agree with Anthony's methods and what he does here. If you want a well-behaved dog, Powerhouse K9 is the only place to go. Highly recommend! Full disclosure: I have a pure poodle and they are known to be smart. I brought her to PowerHouseK9 initially at 4.5 months, only weeks after adopting her so my reviews are specific to this. I cannot speak to any other situation or dog breed.

We had maintained a nice foundation but felt it was appropriate based on a myriad of factors. We were placed with Emily and our experience was excellent. We knew Emily from many of our group trainings but had yet to do extensive one on one with her. Emily's approach is honest, consistent, soft (but firm) and very relatable. She was communicative in every way and made us feel safe. Given we had already done one camp we felt comfortable with the facility but each trainer brings their own nuance. Emily was clear and concise with each weekly update- she was really positive and had a ton of healthy feedback. Training is a huge investment of time and money.... Something we don't take lightly, but we have felt it was incredibly worth it both times. The continued support offered is 10/10, the communication is consistent and the general vibe is that everyone really wants to be there, including all the pups. Our dog has been home one full week, and we feel really good about the tools we've been given for continued success.

My puppy was boarded one time before Lorna and he didn't eat or drink water all day..So with Lorna was the second experience. Her place is very clean, with a comfy, warm feeling - nothing similar to a regular daycare. Lorna is so so nice and knows a lot about dogs I received texts and updates about Astro, he ate! Drank water and curled up into a bed. Nothing compared to the first experience. Lorna is a dog whisperer and I wish I would have something similar in NJ but that will never happen.. it's obvious Lorna loves dogs and pays a lot of attention to them! Hope to be back soon!

We dropped Duchess off for 3-4 hours mid-day for each of our 3 days in Napa. From our first phone conversation, Lorna helped me to feel confident and comfortable leaving my dog. Duchess could play, nap, bark, and run about with tiny Fiona and the pugs, and we didn't have to feel guilty or leave her alone in our hotel room. For Animals Sake Resort provided just the sort of doggie day care that we like - where it feels like "home," with lots of love and attention (and NO crates). Lorna is a very intuitive, knowledgeable, compassionate dog-lover, and she made us and our dog feel right at home. The facilities for the dogs are clean, safe, shady, comfortable, and cozy. Lorna's dogs were very easy-going and easily accommodated Duchess in their pack. Every afternoon when we drove up, Duchess was resting contentedly with the other dogs, up on the window-seat cushions enjoying the view of the birds and the yard. We were all happy to have found For Animals Sake Resort on Yelp.

So far, we have had a consultation and a training session and we look forward to more sessions and taking the group classes when they start up soon. Brian is kind hearted, cares deeply about dogs, and has been great to work with. During the consultation, he helped set up life sized stuffed dogs to see how our dog would interact with other dogs in a safe way and helped us to pick up on cues from our dog to better understand and support our dog as she adjusts to a new home and environment. Brian provided emails with materials and homework assignments. We sought a trainer that could help with focus, pulling less on the leash, and jumping up as well as help with socialization. He has been amazing and we are grateful for all of his support. We look forward to the group classes and highly recommend Brian for anyone looking for support with training their dog. He even helps train service dogs, which I think is so awesome!
