There are a number of things that make Raquel a great singing teacher, so let me discuss some of these. First of all, she is warm, friendly, and hilarious, and the hour passes by so quickly because of how much fun she makes the class. I'm one of those people who would normally be a bit shy with my singing in the past, and I feel downright liberated from taking lessons with her. The parking lot is rather small, about 10 spaces. But usually not a problem. There is limited street parking. The 4 studios, A,B,C,D, are clean and the equipment is pretty good and new-ish. Clean restroom. For a couple of bucks they offer coffee, sodas, snacks. Yes, there are a few unhoused people (bums) wandering the neighborhood and alleys. But I haven't had any problems. My main complaint is the soundproofing is not very good and the noise from adjacent studios is sometimes deafening and interferes with our rehearsals/recording. The bass from the adjacent studio last night actually hurt my ears. This needs to be fixed. Other than that, it's pretty good.
