We made a reservation for six. At 7 we had still not received our food. They told us another 15-20 minutes but we had to be at a show at 7:30 so we left. I'll never know if the food was any good. They seemed to be prioritizing to go orders over the dining room as many people came in, ordered, and left with their food while we waited. Our server was so nice though. This place is outdated, dirty and we waited over an hour for 3 dishes, a tenderloin, spaghetti and meatball and a small bacon cheeseburger pizza. We didn't get our food until I threatened to leave and then they rush it through real quick and it tasted like shit. GREAT PIZZA! Napoli's has been around for so many years; a testament to the owners, staff and food.

There aren't a great deal of options to eat in downtown Burlington. We ate lunch here during the bike races in the early summer. The food was average, the service was pretty good, and the prices were okay as well. It's a family run business, and looks to have been in the family for generations. There's absolutely nothing wrong with this place, the pizza is quite good, but it's not a destination restaurant. If you don't like pizza, the gyros are also quite good. The meat was fresh, and the sauce tasted homemade. The dine in experience is a bit slow, it was really hot in there, and the place really needs a make over (it's dated). We didn't find many gluten free options for my wife, that was disappointing. They don't serve beer or wine, and that was also very disappointing. Be sure to bring plenty of cash as they don't take credit cards or debit cards, either. read more

The pizzas here are amazing. They have the best cheese on their pizzas. They also have nice tenderloins and other delicious sandwiches.

A great pizza! Close to some pizzas that I have had in the Chicago area. Crust is clearly hand rolled or tossed. Sauce is not as acidic as most pizza sauces. Sausage was not overly spicy. Even my picky eaters in the family liked this pizza. I would recommend eating there. I have found that it taste much different fresh from the oven, verses taking it home and getting to it even just 20 minutes later. Something about having it while piping hot (And I do mean HOT, so watch the kids if you do eat in). There menu contains much more than pizza. Steak and shrimp. Sandwiches. Breaded mushrooms and cauliflower are awesome. read more

We got take out veggie pizza and fried mushrooms. The pizza was Tanfastic and as usual the pizza crust was perfect. This is without a doubt the best pizza place within 50 miles in my humble opinion. The fried mushrooms we're very crispy and prepared just right. I have never,in 30 years,had a bad meal at the restaurant or take out. To start, they DON'T accept any kind of credit or debit cards, it is a cash only place. I ordered a medium size pizza with feta and Canadian bacon. The wait has been about 35-40 minutes (too long considering that it was not busy). I am a pizza lover and can usually eat a whole large pizza by myself if I am hungry. This pizza was huge, I had a little less them half to take back home. Very good quality and taste. I loved it. I found out about this place from you-fellow yelp friends, and I was not disappointed. I could not be more biased about this place. I just think it's great. The best pizza ever? No, but very different. I've been going to their my whole life. (LG Sausage, mushroom, extra cheese) In fact even though I now live 1000 miles away, I still eat in store over a dozen times a year, plus I eat their pizza in Texas another dozen. When I was 12 I asked the owner to half bake a pie to take home. I take it home frozen and cook it frozen at 450 until it's cooked on top. I cook it on a stone. It's assume. Now lots of people take half bakes home. Once again though, I'm very biased. I'm so close to this store my father even decorated it. (In the 70's so back off!) :) Other facts. Cash only, self seat, pay at the counter when you're done eating, they close for about three weeks every July. They use provolone not mozzarella, hence the different taste. The Gyros are great. The fried Cauliflower is worth the cheap price. The Texas toast is just 45 cents and worth it. Chef salad is big but cheap. The rib eye dinner is just 8.95, includes a salad, side, and Texas toast. Mike the owner is a genius on the grill and the steak is nice sized. As my uncle puts it, "I try to eat as many of them as possible because some day he's going to raise the price." On Sunday nights it's 50 cents off. Located 30 seconds west of the Mississippi River front in the downtown. Enjoy. read more

Visiting Burlington, my girlfriend and I had a craving for pizza and didn't want the normal "fast food" pizza delivery they recommend at hotels, so we asked the concierge her recommendation and boy were we happy we did. The restaurant itself doesn't look like much, but it had that greasy spoon appeal to it that we both love. It didn't hurt that the pizza was awesome also. Loaded with toppings and inexpensive to boot. Super friendly staff, and not a long wait time at all for food. My only regret is that I didn't get a steak like the table next to me, because they were huge and about half the price you would expect! All in all, we are planning on making Burlington a destination for more weekend get aways and this place will definitely be on the top of the list for where to eat read more
