Excellent place for breakfast and one of the most memorable I've had. The cafe is very cute with fresh cute flowers on every table and a bakery and staff that was more friendly than most other places. The vegan breakfast was very large and one of the best meals I had in a week and a half in Berlin. For around 12 euros it came with an astounding variety of samplings including two types of warmed hearty breads, jams, vegetables based spreads, crudités, olives, pomagranite seeds, and freshly squeezed juice. I've never had a breakfast with so many offerings on one plate. I also ordered the carrot cake which was very moist and light on the frosting and sweetness. read more

I would walk back to Berlin for these waffles. What an adorable little breakfast spot! Svenja G described it as resembling 'a café for dolls' and she wasn't wrong - pink gingham tablecloths, retro jars of sweets behind the counter, glass sugar jars on each table with spoons attached, and beautifully presented food. One of my missions was to sample German waffles while in Berlin, and Napoljonska was the place to do so. We decided to get two to split, one which was a classic Belgian waffle topped with vanilla creme patisserie, pear flavoured cream, beautifully ripe juicy sliced pears and icing sugar and poppy seeds, and the other a rye and caster sugar waffle oozing with a melty lemon curd topping. Both. Were. Ridiculous. Welcome to the sexiest breakfast euros can buy. As well as this the coffee was absolutely killer, hit the spot brilliantly and was served with two candied chocolate peanuts on the side, and the atmosphere was delightful. Me and my better half had breakfast here during our visit to Berlin. Looking back, the meal we had at Napoljonska was among the best during the entire stay. Their breakfast offering consists of four set of platters as well as some additional extras. The dishes are a sweet, an english breakfast, a cheese plate and a vegetarian, and the extras are for example extra eggs (boiled, scrambled etc) yoghurt and müsli, croissants and more. We had a cheese plate and a sweet one, both of which were fantastic. The first one consisted of two kinds of home cooked jams, yoghurt, breads, a croissant and fruits like pineapple, oranges etc. The cheese one was a plate filled with manchego, brie, mozzarella, olives, an egg, bread slices and fresh fruits like the sweet one. Manchego for breakfast? Fantastic! Add to that that everything was fresh, in good portions and very well presented. Napoljonska is not the cheapest breakfast experience you can have in Berlin, but it's probably amongst the best. read more

Not a bad place for a coffee and a quick bite. It's also one of the only places I've seen outside New Zealand that offers a proper flat white. However I was disappointed in my Manchego panini. The cheese and toppings were all good, but the bread was intensely crispy and thick enough that it was a difficult endeavor to simply bite all the way through. At the very least it's a cheap lunch. Paninis are only 3.20 EUR, so lunch should only cost 6-7 EUR per person. Also- where are these amazing waffles everyone mentions? The environment is good (the noise on average is tolerable), and the decoration (both for food and the place) is comfortable. The food itself is also good (I wouldn't say fantastic but it's 4 out of 5). Note: their saft (juice) is especially good!! Wonderful place to brunch and in such a great location too! The food was good but what really made my experience was being able to sit outside and enjoy the amazing Berlin weather. This is exactly the type of hole-in-the-wall restaurants I love to find when traveling! It serves a great selection of brunch/lunch items, but it's also a nice place to drop by for afternoon coffee and snack. I love their croissants, both regular and chocolate, and most the brunch items they had were really good. The only thing that I didn't like was their Kinderfrühstück, and mounds of chocolate that they piled on including M&M's ... for breakfast?!? How about adding some fruits and yogurt instead? Next day, we ordered a regular breakfast for our boy, and it was fine, as it included a healthier and tasty option, and we really enjoyed our breakfasts/brunches at Napoljonska. read more

As far as interior design is concerned, this place is not my favorite but I didn't go there to discuss that, I went for the waffles. They come with two options: regular or vegan (or vegan and non-vegan) with lots of toppings on top. Overall, pretty stellar. Be careful about what you order, the people behind the counter don't know too much about what is vegan (half of the toppings they suggested were not), but that's fine. One of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Where I'm from (L.A.), the line would have been out the door at 9am on a Saturday. It was quiet, cute and a great music playlist. The friendly waitress was running back and forth and our food came out almost immediately. The two of us got 3 full breakfasts, the pancakes (big, delish), fried eggs on English muffins and the "Sweet Breakfast" - a delectable fruit and croissant spread with jams, Nutella, parfait and breads. This place is a quaint cafe with outdoor seating; perfect for a beautiful day. My friends and I came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon to relax outdoors before heading to the park. Unfortunately, the service was horrible. Not only was the waitress rude, but also lied to us about bringing the correct order. My friend and I had ordered the same Oliv-Panini, and clearly recieved two very different sandwiches. ..hers was what was described on the menu (goat brie, carmalized pears, and olive pesto) while mine was not (sundried tomatoes, peppers, and mozzarella). Order an over-priced freshly squeezed cup of OJ on the side for the complete breakfast. or a Flat White which resembles that of New Zealand, however slight. ambience : meh service : the lovely server was not hesitant about speaking in English. that, for me and my post vodka shot headache, was good enough. Napoljonska is great. I stopped in with a friend a couple weeks ago for brunch. I walk past it every day but for some reason this is the first time I've stopped. Anyway, it was fantastic. I had a delicious omelette with cheese and fresh vegetables, and my friend had a plate of pancakes. (True to its name, it's sort of French-Scandanavian fusion brunch.) Unfortunately had a very bad experience at this place. Went there on the First of January afternoon with a group of friends to have breakfast. We ordered at the counter and were said that there would be some wait, 20 minutes or so. We ordered straightforward breakfast as listed on the menu combined with coffees, teas and hot chocolates. After about 1 hour and fifty minutes we left very disappointed. Some people hadn't received any of their ordered items yet! It took an extremely long time to prepare those items. It doesn't take one hour and a half to prepare a tea, right? Or to put two slices of bread and a cup of butter on a plate? Some of the items were very disappointing after a long wait; we for example got a boiled egg that probably had been boiling for over an hour (according to the menu this was the "English breakfast"). Personally, I got a hot panini after about one hour (actually we ordered three - and the paninis itself were already prepared as they had them in the cool counter). The owner/responsible was very arrogant towards us and this is mainly the reason why I want to share this negative experience. He claimed they were very understaffed, but in my opinion three people should be enough to run a business like this. Or you have to admit that you can't run your business properly and run in a "safe mode", only offering certain items or only do take-away/eat ins. There were no hints to how long the other items would take or a form of compensation in the meanwhile (this business offers sweets and cookies and it literary would have taken them less than thirty seconds to save the situation with a small treat). This business does take away and those customers were given preference. Funny detail; after about one hour waiting in the business and after the first question on how long they expected the remainder of our order would take, suddenly one of the staff members showed up with one coffee, which nobody ordered, and which was clearly a mistake. Later, when we started to discuss the situation with the owner/responsible, the only thing he could offer us was a coffee! But before it had taken others already more than one hour and thirty minutes to get their ordered tea, so we refused the offer. We almost had to start a scene to get our money back for the things that we didn't receive. So conclusion: clearly has a lot of potential and apparently their food is widely appreciated. We got some reasonable items, some very disappointing and some never. The owner/responsible needs to learn to be less arrogant and have a genuine interest in keeping his customers' happy. read more

Popped in for a quick bathroom/coffee break while meandering around Dublin. Service was prompt and polite. Our coffee was not hot enough though, so a bit of a let down there. The service is very slow paced...you'll have to wait at least 30 minutes from your order until they roll it out, even when the place is half empty. Even the drinks took about 10 minutes to arrive. The food is not that special. They emphasize Eco-products, but the flavor is not the best. Servants are not really professional or trained such either. read more
