My family indeed benefitted from her exceptional talent to review our home and its occupants. I was so impressed by the home audit and results that I immediately considered her Feng Shui certification course, so then I may also help my clients and family with their appropriate remedies. I was excited to be of positive service to others. Jennifers shared that her three-day intensive course would be remote with online slide visuals, by phone and suggested that this particular way of teaching such a complex practice would be sufficient. I shared my significant concern for the non-personal, non-one-on-one teaching platform not to be substantial enough considering the complex subject and vital considerations. I was deeply concerned that I would not be able to take in all the information, jammed in 3 days, but Jennifer kept selling it, confirming all her students have done fine. Folks, Feng Shui, is indeed a beautiful and powerful tool, one that should be taught in person, hands-on while exploring the on foot environment with the students for proper practical practice and execution. Feng Shui, after all, changes the energy in the home and occupants, something that should be taught in person. $3600 later, Jennifer continued to validate her platform, her way of teaching. I trusted her and was hopeful while ignoring my gut- that learning online with no hands-on practice would not serve me or be sufficient enough. Also, she suggested I purchase a $500 Lou Pan- Chinese Compass- a very complex apparatus I had to plead she teach me to read correctly in person. Post the three-day intensive, she suggested I sign up for her $300/month mentoring program, "which I needed" because her teaching style indeed did not prepare me enough to feel confident to offer home audits for others. So for an additional $300/per month. I did sign up. After a month of mentoring and a handful of calls to discuss floorplans and remedies I was offering to friends and family to practice, Jen would discuss the floorplans while entertaining her toddler on the side. While I appreciate kids very much and stay home working moms, I am now $4400 deep respectfully asking for dedicated mentoring paying time. Again, Jennifer validated her son's presence to be a playful lightness on the side- still, not validating or proving my student needs, even at the financial cost ending with "You'll never be happy, Karina." That's when my investment- financial cost ended but has continued to fill in the considerable blanks that Feng Shui deserves. Long story short- she's a great consultant. However, teaching the art and miracles of Feng Shui should be in person. Response to Jennifers review response. Jennifer indeed suggest for me to study. Which I did- from a book. Jennifer confirms in her response that Feng Shui is a complicated subject- I agree hence my concern about her teaching platform. One that requires "hands-on" teaching practical practice, non of which she was willing to give to her student. I asked for the three day to be broken up to avoid it being one big blur, no consideration from Jen. I was forced to beg her to guide me through the Lou Pan compass, because I knew I was doing something wrong not able to comprehend from a book, I had to drive to Newport after this repetitive request.
