Leaving a review because Betty's truly my favorite spa in the WORLD / happy place/ special treat…read morewhen I go home and I am shocked by some of the recent negative reviews.... I've been to many spas in NYC, LA, Boston, etc. For me personally, nothing compares to Betty's! The ambiance is welcoming and calming, the prices are reasonable and the team is experienced. I typically get facials and ALWAYS leave feeling over the moon, relaxed and happy. The massage/facial beds are heated and all of products are organic and smell AMAZING so it's kind of like 2 in 1 aromatherapy as you're getting your facial :) They clearly state that the sauna/hot tub is additional on their website, so for the folks griping about that, it's probably best to simply read the info while booking rather than rip them for something that is stated upfront! I never expect to sauna or steam going into a facial service anyways, that just seems like an added perk/not to be expected. I digress.... if you want a perfect self-care day, book at Betty's!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE…read more They no longer offer the ability to soak as a part of your normal services, which is not advertised anywhere on their website. This is standard practice at any SPA, no matter what part of the world you are in. Doesn't matter if you are at the Ritz, Woldorf Astoria, Four Seasons, or a resort in Europe, Asia, or South America. When you go to a spa, you automatically have access to all the spa's amenities. This includes tubs and saunas. There are no spa amenities here. If you are paying premium prices, you would expect a premium experience. Keep looking because you are not going to get that at Betty's Day Spa. To make matters worse, their customer service is horrendous! One would think that, if there is a medical emergency, they would allow you to at the very least reschedule your services. They do not. Thank goodness I do not live here and can go back to my normal masseuse next week.

My wife says that I don't listen to her, or something like that. Regardless, I felt like I got about 8-9 Rolfing sessions in one hour. She told me I would be sore, but I have been getting bodywork for over 50 years and that didn't bother me. I did get a little sore, but the relief from the tightness was worth the temporary pain. I climb a lot of ladders, and for the first time in several years I now have enough flexibility in my right hip to let me climb and descend symmetrically instead of like a gimp. Even my chiropractor was impressed. That's incredible! I am going to add the cupping next time. I believe you can also get a milk toast type massage, but I appreciate a deep massage for my high mileage body. I work hard and do a fair amount of heavy lifting, so my muscles are need serious help. It was the best massage ever!

I was quoted at $70 for 1 hour if I paid cash and $75.12 if I paid with a card. When me massage was over, I went to reception area to pay the massage therapist told me in a very tone $75. I paid her the $75 and she ran to the back. I wanted To request a receipt. I texted the massage business immediately, and was told I paid with card. This business is questionable, poor accounting practices, and unsure if the massage therapist are licensed. there was no licensure posted anywhere. Use cation!

I don't get my hair cut professionally often. I think the last time was in 2014 or so. Usually I…read morejust trim my hair myself, which I know hairdressers probably cringe at. Anyway, I came here because I recalled coming to this location way back over 10 years ago to get a haircut due to a special and it was close to the house. They had good reviews and availability when I did. I had Ari lop off a good chunk of hair, about 10" to donate. Then she styled it based on my request which was something like a lob that I could put up as needed and was easy to style. I have a lot of volume and wavy/curly hair that has changed texture with pregnancy. She thinned it out some, cut it wonderfully, and I feel so much lighter! I never want to wash my hair after getting it cut because I don't put the effort into drying this mane of mine, but I suppose day 3 of a cut and wash I should probably go ahead and wash it myself. When I decide to cut my hair again I'll probably head back here if I don't do it myself. ;)

No, I didn't get my haircut here, my daughter got a chop. We watched the whole thing go down --…read moreincluding more than a few pounds of blonde locks -- and couldn't have been happier with the experience. So no, this review doesn't concern any complicated, modern styling job, but as far as the basics go, we'll be back again. A couple notes. First, this used to be an Aveda salon, but that's no longer the case. (As a Minnesota native who grew up with the Aveda brand, I'll note I'm a big fan, and I never buy their product anymore, it's super pricey and I can make my own organic pomade, thanks very much.) They're carrying a new product line and I'm betting that'll save you plenty; our kid's cut was $25, just perfect, and well worth it. Second, great customer service. We called and had an appointment with one of their more experienced stylists less than two hours later; they were friendly at the front desk, accommodating -- they let her grandmother watch the entire cut, nerve wracking? nah! -- and we all complimented the final look. I just wish her new 'do didn't make her look so gosh darn grown up. #theygrowupsofast
