I am only 17 years of age, but I have always been wise beyond my years. I won't make this review pages long by explaining all of the incidents I had at this facility. However, I will say this: Parents and legal guardians, helping your child starts with YOU. I have a strong belief that every person on this Earth a "by-product" of their environment and influences. Coming from a teenager that has struggled with self harm, s***** attempts, substance abuse, relationship abuse, various mood disorders, etc. I can rightfully say that I understand. And mental hospitals (your child/patient will tell you this part) SUCK! They're HORRIBLE! Because staff is often performative in their acts of "care." At Rolling Hills, I have encountered many stressful and damaging events. There are sweet nurses and tech there, like Mrs. Alicia :) But there's also a lot of unempathetic people employed at this facility - And others. Whether you bring your child to Trust Point, or Vertava, or Rolling Hills, they face the risk of being scrutinized by annoying staff (employees that lack consistent work ethic & real HEART). But that's what people need when they struggle. They need to be surrounded by people that care. So please, keep your child/patient safe. Take them to a mental hospital if you don't think that they/you can handle them being at home. BUT! Please please please, let your kid know you love them. Or grandson, or sister, or aunt, or whomever. Avoid having to put your "patient" in a predicament and ask them what they think they need. I know it can be difficult to differentiate between truth and lie, when trying to aid someone with poor mental health, but it's possible. I promise :) Everybody is capable of being saved

It's one of the few locations in Nashville that are so queer friendly! The food was eh, but the staff and environment was so nice and really helped me ground myself. It takes medicare and united healthcare, too. If you're worried about that. It's a good place. The last review someone made on this place was in 2015, but they've changed a lot since then, especially in regards to adding the 4th ward, which has WAY more groups, and a much more peaceful environment. You become kinda like a family to the people there, even the other patients. It was.. it was what I needed. Hopefully, it's what you need too, if you decide to go.

⁩ This is in regards to Dr. Alan J Lynch…read more This post is on behalf of someone else. **Report him to the Medical Board of Examiners for neglect and patient abuse!** He doesn't care about patients and is only in business for money and not patient health. He spent no time discussing patients healthcare or future mental health plans and instead discussed his colleagues personal life and details instead of patients because "the physician and he went to school together". What that has to do with the patient's Healthcare plan is unknown and unprofessional. Proceeded to called patient a liar after spending less than 2min in the room, highly unprofessional and inappropriate. Walked out and did not return. Horrible bedside manor! Did not discuss his medical assessment or prognosis. Uncaring, uninterested and not compassionate.. Not sure why he's not working elsewhere. Leads me to believe he is fraudulently billing and coding which is HIGHLY ILLEGAL! Puts patients on "involuntary holds" without evidence or proof of IMMEDIATE harm to oneself or others. Which leads me to believe he is fraudulently billing and coding. Which again, is HIGHLY ILLEGAL!! Did not allow for self discharge which is against hospital policy. There should be a medical review performed on him. Employees and staff ALL say he is a... D BEWARE!!! STAY AWAY! There are similar reviews of him online. He addressed a similar situation in 2018 involving someone being kept from going to a funeral with a direct reply, "I'm sorry to hear about your loss and apologize for your experience. We will continue seeking ways to become better in our treatment and care. Your feedback is appreciated." Doesn't appear anything has changed since, as far as his medical proficiency is concerned. He obviously has not pursued any continuing education that might be effective or beneficial for mental health treatment in a hospital setting

There was 1 or 2 that did not treat people with total disrespect. The folks that ran the day to day should be fired and reported. I was physically abused, verbally abused. The did not know what hippa laws are for. They totally disregarded my right to privacy . The all night crew, were nothing but mean. So much was done and said and I cannot communicate the physical pain as well as verbal. The day that I was discharged I told the social worker about the terrible way I was treated. All I know the group were from another country, they twisted my arm, I observed one of the gang taking a recording of me on there cell phone. I had/have several bones broken in my foot. I was given a wheel chair and told by my Vanderbuilt Doctor to not put any weight on my foot. I was moved to a much smaller unit. This where I met the Nigerian Night Crew. They snatched my wheel chair from me and took it away. They were laughing and told me my foot was not hurt. I was threatened if I contacted the police, I would be sorry. This is just the tip of the iceberg . I did file a police report in Murfreesboro. I am sure it was never addressed. I was worse when I left than I was when I was admitted. ******************************* Please do not go there! It was nasty. Too much to tell like this, I hope this saves someone from going there. If you want to compare notes, please feel free to contact me via email: luvgill@me.com. I was told by the patient advocate that she would file a complaint with the state. I called back the day after discharged. The person I spoke to was rude and just mean. She advised me to never call back again.

I watched women detox in their beds, soiling their cloths and spoken about terribly where clients were in ear range! I myself was able to detox without meds from alcohol and amphetamines. I kept myself upbeat and as positive as I could as I witnessed the women around me battle getting proper meds, being pushed out after 2 weeks for doing so "well". I had a medical issue and spent 72 hours with zero resolution or even appointment from the primary care giver, however the nursing staff and the daily behavioral health techs were amazing with the exception of one. Nancy who absolute should not be employed there, as she was aggressive, non approachable and judgemental as she stated this to our entire group that if she didn't "vibe" with a client she refused to care for them and would have another staff member care for them. This caused massive insecurities with many of the women including myself. The person you spend a majority of your day with sharing to the entire group that she would refuse to give care if she didn't "vibe"!!!! Disgusting! At the 72 hour mark when I absolutely needed to be seen by a medical provider other than the housing nurse I demanded to go to the ER. I was dropped off, left with no phone, no money and the hospital Dr stated I was an alcoholic and addict therefore this was my issue. He never touched me nor cared to listen to my current health condition which was the cause of my symptoms. When discharged the hospital instructed me to wait outside or in the er waiting room. I waited 1 hour and 45 minutes after discharge before I was picked up! This was not the fault of the staff person responsible for picking me up, it was due to the fact they are under staffed. When my husband and I spoke with admissions our number 1 concern was my safety as well as being sure there would not be any men in the house, which i was promised numerous times there would not be. This was a lie, each night with the exception of 2 out of my 8 it was a man, a large man. When I addressed this concern with the higher up, I was told they were professionals as well as GAY! WHAT??! However, this gentleman is married to a daytime BHT at the same house and recently had a baby together! My addiction and trauma was due to a man from my past.. I did not sleep, even though we were demanded to go to bed at 10:30pm..as they call LIGHTS OUT! Doors unlocked, no security on property. When I addressed this I was told we were in the middle of nowhere and noone would bother us! Wouldn't you think it would be the opposite?! After 8 days of pure hell even while I gave it my all, I discharged myself and was driven off property to the "admissions" parking lot. When my Uber wasn't able to be arrive for over an hour the supervisor called the BHT who transported me and told her to drop me off at the love's truck stop 5 miles down the road. When I advocated for myself with disbelief that they would demand her to do this, they then offered for me to come back to the original ranch house and wait there! The BHT was extremely supportive of me and waited for my Uber to confirm a pickup time which was 1.5 hours later! A truck stop..the number 1 sex trafficking location in the world..I was left there! Overall Uber nor lyft could not pick me up because it was so far out of the way and no drivers were available. After 3 hours at the truck stop I hitched a ride with a husband and wife in the back of their truck (bed of their truck) on the interstate 13 miles away to the closest motel to the love's trucks top which my husband booked for me. At 10 o'clock at night! A truck stop, then in the bed of a strangers truck to attempt to get to safety! My husband drove 10 hours to come get me because airline tickets were 900 dollars..we are still currently in the car driving home back to the safety of my family in Florida..thank god! Please, please I beg you do not go there or send your family there! The worst experience of my life..and if that doesn't keep me sober NOTHING will! Again Nancy the non licensed Behavioral Health Tech who is a recovered addict who DID NOT ATTEND ANY TYPE OF REHAB is an awful disgusting person! Awful! Shame on you and I pray to my higher above you lose your job so you no longer have the power to intimidate and torture women who are fighting their hardest to get and stay sober! You're a trigger and you should never ever be allowed to work with human beings or animals for that matter ever again! Most of my clothes were taken away when I arrived and they were items I was told over the phone that I could bring. I had to cook my own meals plus a dinner for the entire house which was 20 girls plus house mothers. This is a lot for someone who could barely function and required treatment. I was there for 10 days and not allowed to make phone calls. None! The therapist told my husband I was not doing well and needed a higher level of care. He then left for the weekend. I was nearly catatonic and could barely form a sentence. I tried talking to the house, mothers, a nurse, the doctor, therapist, and the head therapist and I could not get the help I needed. I'm still being treated for PTSD from staying at The Ranch and it has been seven years. The only time I felt safe was my last night in the infirmary before I left. This is not a place for someone with any sort of mental disorder. It is more of a recovery center for addiction. It is a holistic approach to healing. Please read reviews carefully before you go. I was struggling from grief, depression, and anxiety. I was desperate and didn't know where to turn. I thought The Ranch was my answer and it was almost my ending.
