They have started doing a little better about having outlet options, but mainly at those tall, long skinny tables. The other semi complaint I have is that they close early. 3 pm is early when you want to try and work. Drinks are good. I don't drink a ton of coffee these days, but what I've had there was good. I get either their chai or matcha. Both of those I enjoy! I had a sandwich there recently. I wanted to roll my eyes at the price truthfully. However, when it came.. WOAH. It was GIANT. I was thoroughly impressed. It was really really good. I had to take half of it home and put it in the fridge. When I came back home hours later... it was STILL GOOD. The bread was not soggy either! Childish UPDATE: Soon after posting reviews, a refund was provided. Along with a message on Facebook full of attitude blaming ME for not calling during business hours. Which I did, and even waited 15 minutes after opening time. And I left a message. She also ranted about how she hasn't had issues with other people rescheduling. So, you know, it's all my fault even though I emailed her broken website (contact us function didn't work), messaged more than 3 separate times on Facebook AND called, leaving a message. It's really unfortunate, so many others seem to love this place. We would have loved that experience too. Our homeschool group scheduled classes, and we all prepaid. Totally fine. My kids were sick, and I will not expose others on purpose. I was told we could reschedule; my kids were really looking forward to that. Since then, I've done the "contact us" on her website which doesn't seem to be functioning. I've messaged her MULTIPLE times on Facebook, she responded the first time and hasn't since, but it shows the messages are read. I've left a voicemail asking again for the reschedule or a refund of the $45. She still has my money, and we didn't get the class nor the ornaments that came with it. My kids are disappointed, and I just want my money back.

Thankfully, customers can browse through some stores, including Shimai, on the Loveless property while they're waiting. Shimai features art, crafts, pottery and other creations produced by local artisans. When I walked in, I had a sense of calmness come over me. It helped that this store was well lit and the sunshine flooded the place through the multi-paned windows. This little store seemed like a museum, with everything being so nice. I can't even begin to imagine how many total countless hours it took the many local artists to create everything that was in Shimai. The were pottery pieces, handblown glass art, paintings, jewelry, women's articles of clothing, and so many pieces of art that can be hanged on the wall. Just know that most of these art pieces come with a high price. But they're very beautiful!

And although we were taught how to design two different types of glass pieces, we were free to create our own designs. Mom and I each made our own glass art pieces and also made one together.
