They do not take credit or debit cards at all. So bring a lot of cash if you want a drink or burger, as close to $15 for a can, you'll need it.

If you hear of any event at See-Scape do not hesitate to go! There's free parking on-site around the back (don't quote me on that) so TTC take the car, or whatever but get yourself down there and put in those ear plugs (available at the bar) and enjoy the show. The main floor has some funky video games in one part and a cool bar to drink at where you just can't be bored looking at the swag all around you and chatting with some cool characters that you won't find in the Financial District, that's for sure. Friendly bar staff will help you whet your whistle so no problem there and the beer isn't overpriced either. Upstairs is where the action is with a neat industrial looking stage that has the overhead grid system made of metal that give it a legit rock venue look, even though it's very small. The bar upstairs has canned beers only so no problem getting one of those and hanging out, with mostly standing room only with a couple tables for the boomers, this is one of the parts of Toronto that makes you feel like you're somewhere else, like Hamilton for example : )

On the first floor there's a bar as well that does have a debit or credit terminal. There's also beer on tap downstairs as well. There's food too that you can order though i didn't have any while I was there. I really enjoyed the atmosphere downstairs. Being someone that enjoys video games. They have a set of home video game consoles old and new that you can play. There's a fee to play which could be nice if you want to get together with some friends and hang out for a few hours. They have two main televisions set up with two couches in front of them. They also have a huge selection of board games that you can play as well. There's walls are decorated with video game posters and we'll Star Wars things too. It was a nice experience seeing my friend perform there and watching the people play video games. I'll definitely remember this place.

Food orders come out quickly and they are always attentive and friendly. Ellena is the sole reason I gave this place a second chance after having a couple bad first experiences. Atmosphere (4/5) - it's your typical locals bar with a central bar, lots of TVs and the requisite pool table. SJ is unique in that they have live bands 3-4 nights a week with no cover most nights. Crowds are muted Monday to Wednesday... and then fills up on Thursdays through Sunday. After coming here a few times I had locals coming up to me saying hi and getting to know you.
