+ Nice size, Everyone behaves themselves - It's old and bathrooms are brutal Went to see Puddle of Mudd here last weekend and I was surprised of the size of the place--not too big. We were able to see the band from about 8 rows back, even with arriving late. Men's room is small and disgusting inside, needs to be gutted. All the folks around me were pretty decent and I love the location of the stage, however the band had no place to rest other than on the stage (no backstage area for them. I would definitely see a band here again.

Last night I went to Etobicoke's version of the G20 holding cell/correctional facility, and had my rights read by the bouncer... -You have the right to remain drunk... at $3.50 for Coronas and $6 for pitchers. -Anything you wear or bring will be frisked upon entry in the club and possibly used against you. -You have the right to free entry as a woman ($5 for men). -You will have to listen to our huge, scary looking security guards as well as generally bad top 40's (think Kingston Penn meets C Lounge) -If you can afford a car, feel free to park it in their massive parking lot, if you are broke apparently free lunch can be provided to you! Once I understood my rights and was taken into "custody" I started to acquaint myself with my surroundings... My cell mates will range from juvenile delinquents to full grown Lakeshore hoodrats. Don't expect anything fancy from the washrooms, this is after all supposed to be prison (so I guess I should congratulate them on the "decor" If all fails (and it does) most inmates spent their time where else? Outside on Rockpile's self proclaimed "best patio in Etobicoke" (which is sort of like telling my hubby he's my favourite husband!). All joking aside the patio is the only reason this place got more than 2 stars. As an interesting twist they also have an outdoor beach volleyball court next to the patio (very intriguing)! I will probably come back to try the food. In the summer time I can see why this place is popular since beer is cheap and the patio is gorgeous but once winter rolls around this bar is going to be a bust!

This is a dive bar... and proudly! The place just oozes rock and roll! That's the purpose of the Rockpile-West. To go there and enjoy loud, awesome music blaring through an amazing audio system manned by a pro. Staff is friendly. The beer is cold. And the food is pretty good to boot!

A few bands/events right here @ The Rockpile West!!!

Harmony Club - Wow! Every Friday night we have a dinner and dance in Scarborough - East of Toronto. It is the best place to dance in town.

Many ppl left at 10, quite upset because of that. Obviously the DJ did not know what Latin music is. After we complained he started to play Latin at 11:30 but by then only about 12 ppl were left which is unusual because we have been there on other occasions and I have not seen ppl leave en masse so early. We will not go to that place again.

I am so conflicted writing this review. The venue itself is the most perfect 70s/80s dance club…read moretime capsule you could ever imagine, and my husband and I were beyond excited to discover it during a trip to Burlington. When we arrived we noticed there were almost no cars in the parking lot, so we weren't completely shocked to discover there were almost no people inside this amazing space. We decided to give it some time, and we waited until almost midnight, but only three or four small groups filtered in (and 75% of them went over to the Latin-inspired club on the other side). The music was great, and exactly what you'd expect from a 70s/80s club, but there was no one to dance to it. The drinks weren't cheap, but again, if there would have been a crowd to dance, it would be a price worth paying. Same goes for the cover charge - we would have gladly paid to join the party had there been one. We felt like we found the holy grail in our quest to find a perfect 80s dance club based on the looks, but like the grail, maybe the most of us Gen Xers are becoming relics who are too old to go out and enjoy this amazing space that harkens back to our prime young adult years.

I remember the $15 charge, which is ridiculous, because youre not getting anything worth $15 in terms of service or ambience. My real beef is accidentally leaving through the turnstile to smoke, immediately turning around, and without a word, the bouncer sliding the "$15 cover charge" sign in front of me to get back in. Cant say I'd ever go back.
