Burger King, Wendy's, McDonalds all within walking or driving distance.$180 for a night, little much in my opinion. Room was basic, mostly clean besides the two bugs I killed. Sheet were itchy, pillows were comfy. Hallways are definitely never vacuumed. Pool was located outside in the back and looked like it was cleaned maybe a few months back. They have complimentary breakfast but we didn't go. Would not really stay again, there's a holiday inn express across the way would rather try there.

The fireplace in the lobby area is very welcoming. We enjoyed the fitness center as well. Their staff is friendly and welcoming. Amelia Island is about a 20 min drive away. I recommend this hotel.

It wasn't. On the third morning we took the do not disturb sign off the doorknob at 08:30 AM. We left the room at 09:00AM. Housekeeping was right outside our door. Upon returning to our room that evening nothing had been done. We were out of clean towels and all the trash from previous nights takeaway food was still in room. This is exactly how you get roaches in a room. Went to call front desk. The room phone did not even work as it's cord kept falling out. I Schlepped down to the front desk. Desk clerk can't do anything for us because he is the only one there. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked. That's about the only positives. I always thought Holiday Inn Express hotels were overpriced and have tried to avoid them whenever possible. They claim the higher price comes with a higher standard of service. This experience has done nothing to change my mind. That's for sure.

There was no shade that would lower as I was told by the front desk, it just was not there at all. The Pool light was right downstairs and on all night and coming right in my room. Why would you do that to someone? I worked the morning before arriving, drove 6 hrs, and then drove another 8 hours the day after I couldn't sleep in your well lite room. Really Why would you do that to someone.

Upon checking in, the lady at the front desk was very nice and courteous. We were put into another room due to an issue with the tv. Things happen. We moved on. Our room was spacious, no carpet which is a PLUS!! Room was exceptionally clean, smelled clean. Bed was huge, sheets were clean. Bathroom was fair. Had some rust here and there, vent cover on ceiling was hanging, sink seemed clogged and so did the tub. But all in all, it wasn't so bad. Had some issues with the direct tv. Kept going out probably due to the Florida rain. Also was a lack of channels but hey, better than nothing! Breakfast was outstanding. Continental?? More like Cadillac!! Biscuits and gravy y'all! Made this Southern man happy!! Great selection, juices, coffee and lots of creamer unlike some other local hotels lol I think I'll definitely come back and I recommend you give it a try. If you have any issues, the great staff will assist you. Only big issue I had was seeing people drink alcohol and smoke in the pool area. Seems like an issue if you had young kids wanting some pool time. Be aware of that.
