Update: Drop to one star until I hear from someone. I called this morning and not one manager called me back. I was charge 180 the night I checked in. Then I was charged another 150 this morning. The room I booked was for 112 with a triple A discount.

Short shower curtain so water falls out ; random patch(es) on shower wall

Garbage. 1 elevator doesn't work so the other one takes forever to even get to the floor you're on. The hallways and elevator are always hot. The tv is super small and not even facing towards the bed. The water pressure is bad and the hot water would take forever. Checkout on website saids 12 pm, while over there I was told 11 am. The toilet paper holder is far away from the toilet & the garbage can isn't even in the bathroom. I had to put the garbage can in the bathroom. Carpet is disgusting, dirty, and nasty. Some tiles in the bathroom are different sizes and/or falling off. The shower curtain is short so every time you shower the water would always get out onto the tile and it would be a mess. The room I had was just garbage, garbage, garbage. Actually, the whole hotel is just garbage. P.S: there's a "manager" here that saids she's the manager, but doesn't even know what she's doing; I doubt she's the manager. She didn't even have a name tag. Why doesn't the "manager" have a name tag? I didn't get her name, but she was white with blonde hair and there was another woman who wears glasses; didn't get her name either. Both are very rude. Don't even bother staying here. Go to a different hotel.

    Moldy window

There was mold in the room. The window was leaking water above the a/c unit. It was a continuous drip and you could hear it splash all night. The night auditor said the hotel was full so I was not able to cancel and go elsewhere or change rooms. The only compensation was for points and not even enough for a night's stay at a decent place. Will not recommend or come here anymore. Don't even try to get in touch with management. She never responded to my e-mail and never came out of the office to address any concerns.

    Disgusting nightstand

This experience is awful awful and nothing other than that. We are taking a rest overnight here on our way to Jensen Beach. We came to find toenail clippings on the nightstand, awful elevators, horrible lighting, bugs, loud and annoying AC, and rickety elevators. One star easily.

My co-worker and I are corporate pilots. We had a reservation made for us by our company scheduler/dispatcher who called the hotel at 11:30pm the night before and confirmed with Marcia that we would be arriving about 9:30 the following morning. Because we were at work very early that morning required a room so we could rest for a few hours before returning to work. This is a common practice for us which we actually did on the two previous stays in other locations with no problems. It is a good revenue stream for Marriott and helps us with getting some rest. This morning when we arrived at the Springhill Suites Jacksonville Airport the young lady behind the counter said she already closed out the rooms. We still needed the rooms. She got the manager, Kim, who stormed out and was ready for an argument. She informed us that no one had called, and we were counted as no shows, would be billed for the room, and if we wanted rooms we would have to pay again. We paid for additional rooms because we needed the rest and rather than arguing with Kim, felt we would deal with it later. Kim then berated us because she didn't like the way we set out credit cards on the counter. She failed to greet us in the Marriott way and wasn't going to hear anything we had to say...she dug in her heals and we needed a room for rest which we did for a short while and departed at 2:00pm. Also about an hour before I left I was shocked to find a huge cockroach in my bathroom and my coffee pot did not work. The room was filthy. I visit a lot of Marriott properties and Kim is by far, the worst representative I've encountered on any of their properties or any other hotel for that matter.

32 inch tv, lol did they find the cheapest tv they could find.

Great hotel, very clean and good service. The breakfast is so so but at least it's offered. They have flexible check-ins. Easy parking.

The complimentary breakfast in the morning was the best breakfast I've had at any hotel.

Easy access to the water taxi for other events was definitely an added plus. The DoubleTree Riverfront hotel deserves a 10++ for everything they did! The hotel staff was amazing and every single person went above and beyond, and directly aided the reason for the reunion's success, and we do mean every single person! Sara, the sales professional was extremely responsive, easy to work with and connected us to the right people to work with. Apollo managed the banquet room, and he knows the event business. He was directly responsible for all the interworking's of our large banquet, technical requirements and success of the banquet. His help in the PA/sound system and up-lighting was instrumental in making the event a success! He even created a custom menu for our attendees to review prior to entering the buffet. Last minute requests?...No problem! Judy made the buffet dinner run flawlessly. She released all the tables in systematic order getting everyone through the line in record time. The dinner was served on time and it was great! Hat's off to the chef and team! We had some ADA veterans and those who had a little more difficult time moving, so Judy had the staff serve the dessert, a very honorable and much appreciative gesture on her part. We couldn't thank her enough! Kevin, Joe, Troy, Michele plus the bartender were outstanding in flipping the room for the banquet and setting up the room's tables and chair covers. All had amazing attitudes and took care of every detail requested. Ezzy and her staff in the breakfast room simply excelled in their service. They made us all feel so welcomed and the food was very good. We talked to several attendees at the banquet and a common theme was how extraordinary all the hotel staff (and I mean all) was, hands down great. A big thank you to everyone and DoubleTree family!!!

A lot could improve! I stayed here over the past weekend in a balcony Riverfront suite. Initially…read morethe room was barely clean and I had to submit a request to reclean. The reviews list it as a 4star hotel. It is really giving 2 star motel. The room was very antiquated. The 1970s arm chair was stained and filthy. It looked like a thrift store purchase. The carpet could stand to be shampooed or replaced. The room was not equipped with a microwave or mini fridge. They had vending machines on each floor that contain nothing but sold out pop and and an ice machine. In the lobby was a snack area where a bag of small size doritos were 6.00. I had no hot water my entire stay. It was very noisy. All night long you could hear the heavy old fashion doors slam. The heater in my room smelled like a hair blow dryer that was about to give out. It was also very loud and took a long time to heat the space. Parking is also a little expensive $30 a day to self park. Considering it is attached to the hotel you would think this would be complimentary to your stay. Staff was very pleasant. The lobby decor was ok and the view was nice. Those are the only compliments I can give. I enjoy The Hilton portfolio but would NEVER stay at this location again. I just expected more from a 4-star hotel. P.s. I am waiting to see if I actually receive a 3 day voucher from corporate in the mail as they promised.
