The owner, Lindy, is so nice, and I love her classes. Rivers and Deidre are also favorites, but you really can't go wrong with any of the instructors. I have a membership and like to mix up the classes -- sometimes I do Sculpt, sometimes Hatha, and on Sundays I love their Candlelight Stretch and Relax class. I definitely recommend trying their classes.

I now practice Iyengar Yoga to accommodate a variety of physical changes which have occurred. Without having to go to the Iyengar Center in LA, I am able to get excellent instruction from Cara and Yarden. Cara has studied with the Iyengars in Pune and updates her knowledge regularly with instructors in the US. I feel safe practicing with both of them. It's so easy to take a class at this studio; I don't have to bring my own mat, blanket, bolster, strap or blocks. Cara has all of the yoga props one could ever think of to accommodate different needs. The space is clean and bright and the students are friendly. The props are in good condition and always clean and students make an effort to make new students feel welcome.

After one treatment at Dharana Sanctuary, Bernhard was able to pin point the tightness and give me incredible relief that lasted for over a week. Took my first class ever at core power here at the Westlake location. The staff greeted me in the…read morefront was nice. They handed me a welcome packet and let me know where to go. They had a pretty big locker room, and it was fully equipped for women. I appreciated that so much. Now for the class, it was pretty intense, but the instructor was really sweet and didn't pressure anybody to go too hard. My biggest critique of this whole thing was how packed the class itself was. I didn't really feel like there was enough room to move around. Another thing I didn't like was how people were lined up out of the door before our class was even over they were trying to rush in and we're just kind of in the way as people were trying to exit. Overall, I'd probably return to a larger location.

The heat and, more so, the humidity are out of control in SO many classes these days (at several studios, not just WL). Even though there is a clear chart posted in each studio with the temps and percentages that each class level is to be set at, it seems like each instructor just does whatever they want, unfortunately. I'm ALL for the hot yoga, that's why I go to CPY, but please keep it at the standards that we pay for. Don't set the class to 105 degrees if it's supposed to be at 98 max in a C2, please. I was in a C2 yesterday and saw the tstat said 108. That's insane. I'm paying 200 bucks a month and I want to not be distracted from my workout and my zen by the fact that either I can't breathe or am feeling like I'm dying from how hot and humid you've made it in the room. Please don't crank it up just because one person asked you to, or because you want to. I want to leave feeling like I kicked ass in the correct amount of heat, not was tortured by it and had to leave early to escape it.
