However, I tried to schedule a massage yesterday, which I showed up for. I was hesitant about having a male masseuse but I truly needed a massage and Holy was out of town. The male masseuse made me feel uncomfortable, mentioned that the solution to my problems were to marry a masseuse and when I mentioned I'm in a relationship he mentioned him giving me foot massages . I then left the massage early (20 minutes into the massage) and I spoke to the lady at the front desk who was very sweet and understanding, and told me that I am scheduled the following week for a regular two hour massage with Holly. I left feeling better that a place was so understanding excited for my massage with Holly the following week. I then received a call from one of the owners the following day while at work stating that she was sorry about my experience but she was asking if she could charge 55 dollars for my massage with the male masseuse who thought I had just left to the restroom. I did not feel comfortable going back and explaining the scenario to the masseuse, I had thought that my experience with the front office staff was sufficient. I then told the owner I have no problem pls charge me 60 and I will not be returning to this massage spa. This is a place supposedly run by women, I was expecting greater understanding and care rather than immediately pivoting to the charge. As a regular customer as well, I was shocked especially I explained the entire sequence of events over the phone . Very disappointed. I hope no one else has this experience, but it was important I shared my own.

It takes place in a private residence in the Malibu so you're not given the address until a few days before your scheduled appointment. Kirscha and Luca were very nice and welcoming; they led us to the area where they conducted the soundbath and it was spacious, clean, and I felt very comfortable. Rather than give everything away about the experience, I will say this: it was truly relaxing! I wasn't sure what to expect; there were areas where they didn't physically touch me, but I felt tenderness in the area the next day (the vibrations from the soundbath affect tense areas in the body). After it was over, I felt very mellow and at ease. In terms of price, I would say this one is on the higher end, but your experience is worth it as you look at the view- the expanse of the ocean, the crisp fresh ocean breeze, I really had a lovely time.

Ritual is located in a strip mall close to Trader Joe in Thousand Oaks. The studio offers a wide range of classes and a tasteful array of retail. The studio is bright and clean, and offers a relaxing calming studio. Outside of the studio there are plenty of places to store your belongings. My experience at the studio was great- despite the fact that I barely got to practice. I appreciated the yoga instructor and his patience during this experience- it was fun to have puppies in the class. The instructions throughout this experience was relaxing and informative. I look forward to trying a more typical class despite loving the distractions from puppies. Parking is ample at this strip mall. The shopping is busy so be careful in the lot and be prepared to walk a little bit.

As a therapist myself, I was in search of a professional to help me see the things I couldn't see for myself. A professional to ask the "appropriate" questions to surface the real issues that I had longed to release. I also desired to work with someone balanced - meaning not just strictly scientific in their approach but spiritual as well. I was only able to see Aileen for a brief 2 months or so, but as my intention was set to "be well", and Aileen understanding the short duration we would have together she provided the necessary work for me to release attachments to the past, fears and also helped me to find my voice, step up and step out into the world to fulfill my purpose in life. I appreciate Aileen for the quality of work she provided for me and the variety of techniques she used. It wasn't always just sitting on the couch and talking but there was interactive work involved. Was glad to see that it survived and went in last week for some tea with my son and to chat with the owner again but was greeted by a young lady that had no idea what was going on. Had us sign in and then escorted us to the tea bar where we where told that there's no open seating. Note there was only 2 people there. The owner was behind the bar and didn't even make eye contact with us. On the way out we wanted to buy a water from the fridge by the door and was told that the drinks aren't cold.
