I began my sessions with Natalie last summer, a few months into the pandemic. It was a difficult and isolating time. Prior to working with her I had been on a therapy hiatus for a couple years, after having seen the same psychologist for a long time. While traditional psychotherapy did serve me in some ways, I always felt there was something more that I needed, and that's why I started up why Natalie. When I began working with Natalie it became clear that what she was offering was very different than what I used to, and it gave me the opportunity to focus on cultivating my future rather than delving into my past as a prerequisite for progress.
We talked about specific outcomes and goals that I wanted to reach and made concrete plans as to how I was going to accomplish them. She held me accountable to my progress in a way that felt supportive rather than overbearing, and gave me a lot of control over what direction we took in our methods. It was much more of a collaboration than anything I'd experienced before. I now feel that I have a lot more tools at my disposal when I want to move forward with something, and feel more capable of following through. Even in my moments of feeling completely lost and directionless, and having no idea whatsoever what my next step was (or what to even say in the session)- I was never embarrassed to tell her as much.
Lastly, the thing about Natalie that has always stood out to me most is her energy, her aura, if you will--and I'm not one to usually point out someone's "aura," but hers is uniquely compelling. She has an incredibly kind, warm sort of calmness about her that instantly grounds me when I'm in her presence (yes, even virtually ;) ). I looked forward to our sessions, knowing that no matter how anxious or scattered I might be going into it, I would soon be flooded by her particular brand of tranquil certainty. She's got a good vibe, people! If you're looking for some direction in your life or aren't sure how to get where you're going, I highly recommend giving Natalie a try. read more
