In an email one year ago she briefly mentioned that her husband has crazy work hours and said it wouldn't be fair to take on new clients. Then I kind of forgot about this. I reached back a year later to fix a session. She didn't mention it again on the phone or explicit stated there is a high chance that she might have to cancel last minute to prepare me. She fixed a date then cancelled the day before and then I fixed another date a month later then she cancelled again the day before. This gave me feelings of being dismissed, not valued, not taken seriously, not considered important. All the things I am trying to get help with from a reiki practioner and life coach. I also had to have my husband take care of my child to do this with her. I also had to take time off work to be there during work hours. These things matter to me too. I didn't think this was a professional thing to do. And more importantly she never said I might have to cancel due to my husband's work hours or made that very clear. To be honest, I took the reiki 1/2 class because I wanted to learn how one could heal their own body. I've read about it and seen videos, but I was a major skeptic. At the point of taking the class, i suffered from severe allergies and asthma that landed me in the hospital almost monthly. Review for Reiki 1&2 class Taking this class is one of the BEST decisions I've made so far. I had very little knowledge of reiki and didn't really know what I planned to do with it. Didn't know what to expect. Never in my life did I see reiki being in my path, but here I am, and I'm SO HAPPY I took it!!! Britt is so knowledgeable and what I especially appreciate about her is that she brings a unique perspective to things and is real, honest and authentic in her teaching. It's fun learning from her. I really questioned how I would do sitting on zoom for 4 hours at a time. My max prior to that had been 2 1/2 hours and that was for things that I wanted to be at and still, I had a hard time making it all the way through. For the reiki class though, I didn't want it to end at all! Easiest 4 hours ever! I finished class 2 weeks ago and I continue to be surprised by how deeply I've been impacted and how much I've changed since. It's made me a better mom, for sure! I heard about Britt from a very good friend of mine years ago. She told me about how she had done a past life regression with Britt. She told me about all the different lives that Britt helped her tap into and all the lessons she learned from what she was made to see. I was transfixed with my friend's retelling of what she had experienced. It was then that I started reading up on Holomua Healing Arts. Fast forward to the beginning of the summer and I went in for an initial session with Britt to talk about what I wanted out of a past life regression and reiki session. Britt was able to meet me where I was at and used what she had learned from our conversations to inform the reiki session. She has a way of making you feel safe and secure. I had just finished my first year of grad school feeling off and discombobulated, but I felt lighter and more open all from a physical, mental, and emotional standpoint after she had performed reiki on me. I saw Britt for the past life regression a couple weeks later and the things I saw were eye opening in those 2+ hours. In that initial session, I had talked about difficult things in my life and Britt helped me find the answers on how to get through them. Later that night, I spoke with my friend who had told me about her experience years ago to unpack mine. At some point, I talked about how there was some uncertainty I was feeling. Was what I saw real or did I make it all up? We talked and talked and both agreed that it didn't matter. We saw what we felt we needed to see and I feel a deeper connection to myself because of it. This review is LONG overdue! I reached out to Britt because I was in search of a hypnotherapist in my (then new) area. But what I found at Holomua Healing Arts was SO. MUCH. MORE. I've seen Britt for Hypnotherapy, Reiki and most recently took the Reiki Class she offered. After working with her using the first two modalities over a short period of time, it really helped me clear a lot of junk that was keeping me 'stuck' - and helped get me aligned to find my soul's purpose...which is how I was lead to even consider taking the Reiki Class! My experience in the FIRST virtual Reiki class Britt held was everything magical and NOTHING less. Meeting Britt in the middle of cold summer here in Bay Area felt like an early Christmas gift for me. Just like when you get what you wanted for Christmas, I wanted to scream, shout, and laugh with joy. To me, she is simply a gift.    The initial reason I went to see Britt was to make a big career decision that I was so scared about. However as I was reading her website, I started noticing how she and I have so much in common. This became the ultimate reason that I actually called her. As I have a strong connection to Hawaii (and she's a Maui girl) and I have suffered from Ulcerative Colitis and IBS for so long, I really felt like I had to see her. It was fate that Brittany and I crossed paths. We came across each other on Instagram and turns out her office is on the same street as my fiancé's old job. Going into our session I was a little hesitant. It was my first time trying Reiki, in person. However there was nothing to be weary of. Brittany is a genuine soul. She provides a comfortable, open, judgement-free space, which is extremely welcoming. When we had our session I was in transition mode--about to move across country. At the time, I couldn't relate to everything should was saying but within a week, everything made sense. Prior to seeing Britt, I had gone to two other reiki masters, one for several years. I found out about Holomua Healing Arts through a friend who had seen her for herself and her boyfriend's dogs. I really trust my friend's opinion, so I knew I had to book an appointment. I had just had my fourth surgery on the same location to remove a tumor and the healing was not going as smoothly as in the past. I was feeling tired and had a few set-backs as I had a bad reaction to an antibiotic I was given. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I knew something was better than nothing. From the minute I walked in her office, I knew I made the right choice. I'm usually a private person, not one to share many aspects of myself. With Britt however, it was like talking to an old friend. We talked about so many different things and I think I learned as much about her as she did about me. When the reiki session began, I was totally relaxed and ready. I could feel the energy as Britt worked on me and by the end, the pain had diminished substantially and my body felt more relaxed and open. I really did not want the session to end. After the session we talked more and Britt told me what she saw and felt as she worked on me. It was quite amazing. Over the next year, I saw Britt several more times for reiki (I really looked forward to each session), had her do a reiki session on my dog, did a past-life regression and attended one of her workshops. When I first opened the door, I had no clue I was entering a Portal...on the other side of the door was Britt and little did I know how my life's trajectory would forever change. After our life coaching session she was able to get a clear understanding of who I was, my goals, and what obstacles stood in my way. Britt makes you feel very comfortable, non judgmental, and very relatable and the life coaching session was more of a release than I ever imagined. I've heard of Reiki before, having a holistic background, but I've never had an actual session with a Licensed Reiki practitioner. My first session ever was with Britt, and I'm glad I made my first session with her. Britt met with me after getting off of work, which I appreciated because I wasn't able to meet with her earlier. The location of her office is in a beautiful setting in Harbor Bay in Alameda, right across from the Raiders facility. Upon entering her office, it was inviting, welcoming, and had a calming energy which made me relax quite a bit. Britt is an excellent listener and even better communicator. She was patient and listened to me while completing the consultation portion of the session. We talked about life: about what was going on personally, professionally, and everything in between. She empathized with different events which had happened in my life, and was able to relate to some when she could. Talking to her about life was easy and effortless, and put my mind to ease the more she listened to my story. I believe in good energy, and I believe in bad energy. I didn't know what to expect once she started the Reiki portion of the session, and any skepticism that I had went completely out the window. Even though there was no physical touch, I felt the warmth of her energy as she balanced out my body from head to toe. At one point in the session, I felt as if I had to scratch my eyebrow really bad. She later told me she was balancing out energy in that portion of my head/face. I could literally feel the energy flowing from one point of the body to another, and then out through my feet. After she was done, I truly felt as if my energy was more balanced than before, and I felt really good! What really blew me away was her sixth sense, or clairvoyance, of events that may happen in the future. Britt has my business, and I look forward to having another Reiki session again. Britt has helped me tremendously during a really tough transition in my life. Her kind Aloha spirit was exactly what I needed during a time when I felt so helpless. It was truly fate how I found her and happened all within divine timing. I was her first booked client after she moved to Alameda from Hawaii. On December 22, 2017, I had my very first Reiki Session with Britt and without a doubt I will be returning! Before starting our Reiki session, I was optimistic and very nervous. I wasn't so sure what the outcome would be. All I knew was that I was there to do a spiritual cleanse. What turned out to be a spiritual cleanse lead to answers I've been wanting to know for the past 16 years. My session with Britt has made me come to peace with a rough past. Where do I even begin? Over a month ago I went through a bit of a breakdown. Long story short, I had all sorts of feelings gushing out and I realized, "holy Eff. I need help" now, I would have called a "traditional" therapist. However, I knew that they would just give me some drugs and it would numb me. I wanted to get to the root of what was going on. In came Britt. Now I was not too familiar with reiki and hypnotherapy. So I assumed it was like the movies or something. You get knocked out with a pocket watch and you're good after a quick session. Well my friend, this is NOT the case lol. After talking to a couple more specialist in these fields Britt was the only one who I felt like she truly cared about helping others. Our phone consultation was amazing. I didn't feel embarrassed and she made me feel very comfortable. I won't go into too much detail but I instantly knew i was meant to reach out. We scheduled our first official meeting for the following week. Her office is extremely relaxing and calming. I walked in looking a total wreck. But I left feeling. A hundred times better. in our first session there were so many "aha" moments. I didn't realize that I held so much inside from when I was younger that I chose to ignore, or chose To ignore them. After our initial therapeutic session she moved into the reiki portion. If you are unfamiliar with reiki (in a nutshell) it helps you center your chakra inside of you. There is A LOT more to it than that lol. But again a super super simple explanation. I won't go into too much detail but wow!! I felt soooo much better afterwards. now here's the thing, many people think that if you go to one session you will be 100% better and done. No. NO! Lol. This is something that you have to be ready for and willing to put in the work. And Britt will not let you down or make you feel like you are on your own. I feel like I have regained a sense of balance, and self reflection in the past few weeks. Seriously, she is someone I HIGHLY recommend Again, remember that working on yourself is not a one day deal. I know you have been reading through the Yelp reviews and trying to figure out if Britt lives up to all these positive yelp reviews... is she really that good, is she changing lives out here, are women/men becoming better citizens of the universe/bay because of Holomua Healing Arts? The answer is YES!! I was the same as you my dear Yelp reader scouring through Yelp at a time where I was uncertain about what to do in life and wanting to know "Life Answers" it's kinda like you know there is something more out "there" but you can't access it... My boyfriend and I went to Britt for separate past life regression sessions, one right after another. We both were seeking clarity and deeper meaning in our lives, and were interested in seeing how our past lives may be affecting us in this lifetime. Although I did a lot of research on what to expect during hypnotherapy, I was still a bit nervous going in. Britt clearly explained what I should expect during the session, which helped put me at ease. She is also has a very calming yet strong energy, which makes you feel safe. She explained that although many people can actually "see" what's going on in their lives, some experience other senses. While I was hypnotized, I personally could not view anything in the two lives I visited; rather, I had innate "feelings" of this or that...that I was male/female, that I was wearing very little/a lot of clothes...that I was at ease, bored, sad, etc. Further, for me at least, it wasn't as if I was trapped in another world (which was a fear I previously had). Rather, I always knew that I was me, physically lying on the couch, as myself...I just had a "knowing" of what was going on as Britt guided me through my lives. For my boyfriend, he could actually "see" things and explained it as feeling like he was watching a movie going on in front of him. We had both experienced two past lives each, and with Britt's guidance and questioning, were able to get lessons from each life visited. After our individual sessions, we came back together with Britt to discuss our experiences. At the end of the day, I walked away both with some life lessons for myself and a better understanding of why my boyfriend is the way he is.
