This was our first stop to eat in Montreal, and it was a very good pick. Inside it is a simple dining room, but very cozy and bright. Connor was our server, and he went above and beyond. Not only a super nice guy, but also very playful with our kids. Food was impeccable. Home made sauce, delicious bread, pasta was perfectly cooked, vegetables were charred and flavorful. I was staying at the airport and needed to find a good meal for dinner on a Sunday evening. Thanks to Yelp, I found Natalino. It was only 1.9 miles from the airport. First, its rating is legit! A fun and simple establishment that excels in serving outstanding food while providing superior service. Case in point, I sat at the bar, and the bartender provided superior service while never getting behind on drink orders. Incredibly efficient but hospitable at the same time. For dinner, I had Lobster Bisque as a starter and veal parmigiana for my main course. Portions were generous and left no room for dessert. The house Merlot I had was solid. My next trip to Montreal will include a return visit to this gem of a restaurant. read more

Perfect place for a quiet cozy dinner.... however I was there with a party if 7. Service was amazing. Attentive, accurate, accommodating, quick and friendly. Large wine list, but did not partake. Just be aware they have 2 menus, one in French and the other in English. I had the arugula salad. Really nice, tossed with a light citron dressing. Had since sliced pears to offset the tang. The veal marsala was made with a dry wine, which I like much more then with than sweet. Pan fried potatoes add carrots added sweetness to this dish. Veal was tender and cooked perfectly. read more

I'm torn between four and five stars. Here's the deal: my GF and I were at a hotel near Montreal airport. Yelp -- thank you Yelpsters for writing useful reviews -- suggested several restaurants on Rue Bord-du-Lac in Dorval. Super helpful desk clerk Victoria chose Natalino from the finalists. Boy, was she ever right. Natalino is a cozy neighborhood place on what is essentially Main St. in Dorval. A welcoming hostess, a helpful waiter, two Negronis, and we were set. We had the tomato and mozzarella salad, the arugula, pear and goat cheese salad, rack of lamb with pasta arrabiatta, tiramisu, and a plate of fruit. There was a glass of chianti in there somewhere. We shared everything. And it was terrific. The salads were great, the lamb tasty and accompanied by a fabulous savory compote, the pasta was spicy as arrabbiatta is supposed to be, and the tiramisu was perfect. My only complaint-- and it's a minor one -- is that the lamb was medium, not the medium rare we had ordered. And while the restaurant was full on a Saturday night, we could actually carry on a conversation. Nice. So why four and not five stars? I wouldn't drive from downtown Montréal to eat there. But if I lived in Dorval, it would be my go to place. I wish had a Natalino in my neighborhood. read more

My oh my wonderful staff, so accommodating. I popped in around 6 as a single and no reservations. The place was booked for the night, it was a gorgeous night and I asked if I could Please sit outside. They found me a place. I am sure airing at the bar would have been ok - but the marvelous good with the sky was WONDERFUL. Cesar salad presentation was ok but the dressing had the perfect amount of sardines. For my main meal I ordered seafood pasta - I must say when you get more in the shell fabulous seafood than pasta your in for a treat. GREAT staff!!! read more

Went for evening dinner with a group. I guess people fgo there as it is convenient and they do not taste the difference between properly prepared food and Chef Boyardee. Service was OK. Quality of food OK. Portions OK. Seafood linguini: Lobster, clams, calamari, more lobster. Linguini was a bit too done. Lobster was so overcooked it was rubbery, not worth the trouble getting out of the shell. Fishy clams, needed lemon. Didn't help. Glass of Pino Grigio OK. $80 way overpriced. Absolutely going back to Scarollie's, nothing compares so far. Natalino: waste of calories, waste of money, you learn by experience. Stay away from Natalino. read more

This place needs more reviews - I am the fourth. I had a decent meal here while in town for my company. I might not have stumbled on this restaurant if it hadn't been for a coworker who ate here previously. It is basically an old house near the water (is that a lake or a river across the street?) converted to a restaurant. They can host groups on the second floor. We ate downstairs and it was pretty dead for a Wednesday night during winter, I sense that they may be busier during the summer/warmer months. The overall theme is italian and they have several varieties from the "boot" of Europe. They have different variations of red sauce, plus olive oil treatments, with different pastas. They offer chicken, veal, seafood and steaks. Oh and they offer pizzas, which we decided to share a pizza (they are personal sized) and then have entrees. The server brought a "free" appetizer of small sliced bread with melted cheese and tomato sauce on it. I don't know when these were made, but after one bite I wasn't going to spoil my dinner with this free offering. I had a glass of the house Chianti, which was quite flavorful. However, the second glass I ordered with my meal tasted quite a bit different - a bit musty. I asked our server - nicely - if it was the same bottle, or even the same wine. I think I flustered him because he stammered out "bien sur" (of course). Beyond the margarita pizza, I had a fettuccine with gigi sauce. It really was the highlight of the meal. The pasta seemed fresh and the server said it was homemade. I can't say I would make this an out of the way stop, but I don't recall many other choices in this area of the Island of Montreal. This is my dad's favourite place to eat. I've been here a number of times over the last decade with him. If you're looking for a good meal in Dorval and you like Italian food this is the place to go. It's a quaint little restaurant off of Lakeshore where the service is great and the pasta is delicious. They offer half plates of pasta which is a desirable option for me because I can never eat an entire plate to myself. read more

Went there Saturday night for the first time. Was absolutely amazed at how attentive the staff was, Owner came to the table to welcome us, and felt as though he was a life long friend. the service was excellent and the food was Delicious !!!! We sat outside on the terrace overlooking the water with soft music playing in the background, incredibly romantic !!! this is my new go to restaurant. I highly recommend this restaurant, if you are looking for delicious food, wonderful staff great service and want to feel as though you're in Italy along the Mediterranean Sea, this the place to go !! Where is the 10-star option? We arrived on a cross-country flight to Montreal at 11 PM (en route to our home in Vermont) after the hotel restaurant was closed and were given a take-out menu for what looked like a greasy-spoon pizza place. We Yelped and found Restaurant Natalino, which was about to close. To our delight, the owner/manager (?) took our order and agreed to deliver to us -- even though the hotel was farther than he realized. Above and beyond service with a delightful delivery guy AND THE FOOD WAS DELICIOUS! We split Caesar salad (fresh, crisp) and chicken Parmesan with pasta and vegetables. And good Italian rolls. We've decided we're going to drive back up from Vermont just to go to the restaurant. Well, not tomorrow, but what a great experience. I have been going toNatalino's since I discovered it 32 years ago. I have tried to find a better Italian restaurant but have not succeeded yet. I have probably had over a thousand meals there and have never been disappointed. Recently had guests from BC including a red star chef who couldn't wait to go back and raved about it the entire time he was here.
