Some of the middle booth tables was imbalanced and needs secured...luckily we could choose another table and there are two outside picnic tables. All the food was served in to go styroform boxes so it did take the ambiance a notch. So I would be interested in trying some more of their food..the bavlava looked great but not on my present diet and I would have loved a spinach pie ..hubbie was very happy with his dpuble smashburger and fries. It said they had chicken paprikash. If you don't know what that is it's an amazing Hungarian/Slovak dish, which I don't see on the menu at restaurants much at all. It's chicken and a creamy gravy flavored with paprika. It's also served with spaetzle noodles. We asked the guy about it and he gave us a small taste. He said it was the recipe of someone's grandmother. something authentic, and it was LEGIT! The flavor and the spaetzles were amazing. I brought a bowl for my mom and dad also. My dad's mom used to make it, as did my mom. We were told that they only have this on Thursdays and Fridays, but sometimes they have some in the refrigerator. Chunks of feta in it. Honestly could only eat half. The potato salad on it was good. All the ingredients fresh. Can't go wrong. Christina told us about the other menu items too. We walked in and were greeted right away and told we could pick a seat anywhere in the store. We decided to sit in the back of the restaurant where we were greeted by Sam. We needed up having 2 gyros, 1 spanakopita and 1 tiropita the food was delicious , fresh and didn't take long to get it. Sam did a great job checking in on us and we got to meet the owner George who came to chat us about how our experience was and if everything was to our satisfaction. Going back to the time when I was born (in Ireland, but this story began in another part of Europe) In the 1950's outside of Athens, Greece when a family traveled from there to the United States in search of a better life. The mother found comfort in a foreign land while working as a baker, hand-making the recipes she brought with her. She passed these recipes on, with love. Another begins in the 1980's on the Italian island of Sardinia when a young man in the U.S. Navy, met a local girl & brought her back to the United States to raise their family. She keeps in touch with her family & her homeland by importing the food products she grew up loving. Their stories eventually intertwine through a marriage.
