We have been with State Farm since the 1990's at Carla Gerhardt's location in Monroe. When she retired, this branch took over. We recently returned from our vacation and I was finishing the laundry; the last load gave us the problem; the water inlet sensor malfunctioned and the water kept coming. I turned off the machine( a 4 year old LG) to no avail, I had to turn off the water line which was the only way to stop the flow. Needless to say, we had a great deal of water that ended up ruining the carpeting and went under the floor boards. We cleaned it up with our shop vac as best we could. Then we contacted State Farm and ended up filing a claim. The appraisal was over $8,000 but State Farm could only give us $3000. CAVEAT EMPTOR! Buyer beware. Who knows what Tom was doing, we never heard from him. If this had been Carla's office, we would have been taken care of.

I called Jeff Traudt said there would be no problem, just get an estimate for the damages. I sent in the estimate and received a call from Jeff, accusing me of just trying to get my car repaired at the the insurance company's expence , and that if he where to submit the claim he would be fired by State Farm. What a total BS line accusing me of trying to get one over on the insurance company, 23 years without a claim and when I finally need them I get accused of a Lie. I have never been treated so unprofessionally, and treated in such a manner, after doing business with him for 23 years. Matt Vierk used to have an office in a building I also had an office in…read more (He has since moved - did he know something bad about the building, or building management change, that he did not share with me)? I thought having my insurance agent in my building would make it convenient for him to be my State Farm Agent for my home car, and office I was renting. That was probably in around 2015. Let me tell you "State Farm is NOT there when you have a claim. And MATT completely ignores you. I had a water claim on my home, and I never heard back from MATT, and state farm sent SERVPRO for my Clean-up - and they STOLE things. Matt, NEVER even spoke to me, let alone come to my house to see the damage. Then I had a MOLD claim in my office, neither MATT, nor STATE Farm, EVER got back to me (that was the First week in October. It is now the END of November and I have been ignored, except a note from Matt about my insurance payment. But what am I getting for my insurance payments? Certainty not any help from MATT, and only flimsy patronizing help from State Farm, after contacting higher ups.
