We did not have a good experience with Twig & Bloom.  Though we were initially drawn to and pleased…read morewith Joanne's designs and aesthetic, several issues arose in the early stages of planning.  There was a severe lack of communication - unfortunately she was not prompt in her messaging and would often take up to a week or more to respond to emails (often without an out of office reply or an apology).  Additionally she was not forthcoming about additional artist fees in the initial invoice, which resulted in our having to re-negotiate the contract. Lastly, and perhaps the biggest issue, was her inflexibility around cancellation pertaining to the current COVID pandemic. While the initial contract did indicate that all deposits were non-refundable (which, in a pre-COVID time was understandable), she was not sympathetic or understanding of the situation which ultimately resulted in our having to cancel the wedding.  We were able to secure some of the deposit back after weeks of messaging back and forth (again often waiting days for a reply), but this was not done without debate and she was not willing to relinquish the entire sum.  I would be wary of this with regards to booking in the upcoming months and the continued uncertainty around events with large groups.  Overall this ended up being the most difficult and disappointing interaction of all our vendors in Saskatoon, and as such Twig & Bloom cannot be recommended in good faith.

There was a kid who loved to scream as he/she got on and off the elevator. Awesome! The bed was comfy. There were a couple chocolates next to the bed. There was a minifridge and Keurig coffee maker in the room. WIFI was free ... I found it fairly speedy. Parking was $15/night in the garage next door (if you catch the right elevator, you can go to your level in the parking garage from the hotel). There was a restaurant/bar in the lobby and lots within walking distance. The microwave and clock were both set 15 minutes fast. You'd think the person cleaning the room would have noticed. I tried to fix the time on the clock but couldn't figure it out. So when I woke up in the middle of the night, I did some math to figure out the correct time.

Have seen improvements in the rooms from when they first started to their new rooms and location. Was presently surprised by how much we loved "It Lives" - definitely a must check out room. The VR is also well set up (although I always wish VR stations would be closed off so you can't be seen by strangers but this is a standard in VR) when we played VR and were the only ones in for a station the worker (owner?) even gave us extra time to play! Deadlock seems to be helping out in the community and does great work with other businesses. If you are into Horror and scares I definitely recommend checking out Deadlock as I have heard great things about their horror rooms, they are just not my style! :P
