He's very friendly and gives an honest price everytime. Call and talk to him and he'll tell you what's up without the usual pressure or run around. Eric is the mechanic, and he not only knows which way is up on your car (not always a guarantee, trust me), he will explain why it is up and not down and how it might be even more up, in plain English, in a completely understandable way. Not a common skill, believe me. He clearly is all about cars, is a total car person, and I'll be having him do everything I can't do myself from now on. Kristyn is up front and took care of things lickety split. Smiles, laughter, and good vibes great you when you walk in, which also is a pretty rare thing in the scowl-heavy world of mechanics. She's a gem. One last note: the garage is incredibly clean. I also asked them to check the transmission fluid and investigate a suspension knock that I was hearing/feeling. The owner checked the car and called me and we agreed on the work to be done and the price. He explained that the knocking was due to strut and sway bar wear and I decided not to have that work done this visit as he said it wasn't a dangerous situation. When I went to pick up the car I had additional discussions with the owner and I found him to be very honest and sincere. He understood that I was reticent to sink a bunch of money into a 12 year old car. He knew I had done my own brake work and said he was confident I could do the suspension work myself and even gave me tips on how to do it. The work LARC did was done well, with quality materials, and at a fair price - not cheap, but fair. The owner also checked out an old Mazda I had and while no work was done, that experience was also very positive. Another good feature of this shop is that the station is open late so you can go in after hours and pay and pick up your car. And "The Grill" also has great food to boot. There is always an element of fear when I take my car in to have work done. Mechanics many times are in a position to take advantage of customers, and many do. So besides knowing I am going to get quality work done at LARC, I feel there is great value in knowing that I can trust that I'm going to get honest feedback and not get scammed. I feel very fortunate to have found LARC and I will definitely be using them for future work.

We were skeptical, since our car had been relatively low maintenance and not having any signs of trouble prior to this. We always go to Parson for a second opinion, b/c he knows the business and we can trust him. He said there was a very small leak and that replacing the steering column was not necessary. It also did not have anything to do with the reason why the car was having issues. He fixed the car and recommended watching it and if it gets worse, then we should go back. He's a gem!
