With that being said (typed), the lawyer Michael H Aspinall, has forced my hand. My name is Eric Jones Amponsah. Date of birth: December 23, 1988, son of Eddie Amponsah & Shirley Osei-Owusu. On June 14, 2020, I was arrested. Michael Aspinall was assigned to my case June 11, 2021. Within the first two interactions with Aspinall, I was dubious about him as an attorney for my case. I believe he is violating my sixth amendment to the U.S. constitution: the accused shall enjoy the assistance of counsel for his defense. Also, I believe he does not have my best interest in the outcome of the current case that he is representing. Recently, I called him for documents that have been submitted to the courts, in favor to me. The reasoning for the documents were to assist me in obtaining a job to help better my life and pay for things that I need. I did not receive the requested documents nor did he give me any guidance on how to obtain said documents. Now the chance that I will be able to obtain the job is in limbo because the documents were not submitted within the given time that was requested of the employer. There have been numerous times that I have called his phone to get information about the case and I seemed to be rushed off of the phone and overall not satisfied with his services. There is a family member of mine whom is his senior, that I have had call the attorney to their displeasure on their first conversation. I do not believe he has any confidence in himself nor the case that he is representing me on. To his favor, I have spoken to an attorney by the name Mr. Patrick Watts of 878 Melrose Ave, Bronx, NY 10451, whom I have had received great representation from in the past. He has said that Aspinall is a good attorney to my disagreement. Nonetheless, overall, I am not satisfied as a client of his. Hopefully, this does not continue for other clients. Peace.

Clearly the firm has a very good reputation as the many positive reviews indicate. And, prior to…read morethis recent experience, that has been and still is my view of the firm, though I hold it somewhat cautiously after this experience. I do want to share a particularly discomforting experience I had with the firm. Let me preface this with an observation that legal Intakes can be hit or miss. I Spoke to a lady there for about a minute who did not give her name or title, e.g. sounded like a secretary. She Was extremely rude, rushed and rejected a potential case as if too busy with other matters on her desk to take on a new case. It definitely did not sound like an attorney which was unusual for this firm to reject a case before attorney consideration. That is fine - if you have too much going on and are over-loaded with cases, it makes sense to reject a new case. I wouldn't want it any other way. But at least discuss the reasons therefore and give a referral to another qualified attorney who may be knowledgeable in the type of injury involved. To be fair, there are other intake attorneys there who are quite good which is why I refer to Rosemarie first. It was just the luck of the draw that this secretary happened to answer the phone and gave such a superficial rejection of a case I referred to them as a courtesy because of the positive experiences I had with their attorneys in the past. I'll give them another chance in the future, but my experience does confirm the experience of another opinion - writer, Lynda H. (8/25/23) albeit this is a one-off experience for me. I will cut them some slack on this one, but this is just to give a heads up to future referrers to be prepared for a similar experience and realize it is not customary for this firm. I referred the case to another excellent PI attorney who spent nearly an hour on the phone with me discussing the legal and medical intricacies and probabilities related to the case. Soooo... I am glad they blew me off this time. Thank you!
