BUT I wanted to wait to put them up AFTER I had the house painted, and he said no worries, just call me. when you're ready. Four years later I finally had the house painted! I have noted other bad reviews of this vendor, but my experience was exactly the opposite. This contractor was nothing short of fantastic. The installation was done while I was at work so literally, I left for work with a rag-tag worn, wholly ripped awning and returned to a beautifully installed green awning, installed tightly, wrapped with high caliber threads and cabling, looking simply phenomenal. I spoke to Leonard the owner and he gave me an estimate. I hired another company and afterwards they said that they could not do the job on the second floor because they were worried about breaking the windows with their ladders. I got a refund and hired Leonard. He ordered the material I wanted and 2 weeks later I had my awnings. It was not an easy job because the second floor awnings wind around the house. The workers needed ladders. It was a two day job. The price was very reasonable. Leonard was very responsive. I had an awning installed right before the pandemic the water accumulates on the top causing a bubble in the material mold and mosquito infestation. Beware!! Worst experience dealing with a awning and canvas company: wrong measurements and poor installation were just the beginning. Canvas never fit correctly and created large puddle of water, screws were not galvanized and created large rust stains in just a few days. Lenny refused to fix it unless he would get more money. National Awnings did everything they promised and in less time than other companies took just to give me an estimate! I am really impressed with their pricing, service, quality, and speed. I called several other companies to get quotes for a large dome awning and a rectangular awning. In each case, the process of getting a quote (waiting for returned calls. scheduling visits and waiting for estimates) took a week to 10 days. They also wanted up to 5 weeks to complete the job. My customer service experience with National Awning was completely different. My initial call was answered by Leonard, the owner. He came to my home the very next morning, and right on the spot, he gave me a very reasonable quote and committed to finishing the job in two weeks or less. To ensure that the awning for the large dome frame was as custom fit as possible, he had the dome frame taken to his factory. No other company did anything but take quick measurements. I was pleasantly surprised when, only four days later, he called to tell me the awnings were ready and would be installed the next morning! His crew did a great job with the installation. They were professional and attended to every detail with care. As to the awnings, well, they are perfect and they look spectacular! read more
