I went back inside and told her I wasn't going to drive it and take a chance of being stuck on a highway somewhere. She acted annoyed and said "well, you are going to have to wait a while for another one". I said I was ok with that. Really, what choice did I have? The interesting part......there was no one else in line and a parking lot full of cars. She realized I wasn't going to take the car- I'm thinking she was hoping I'd say "ok, well, I'll just drive it anyway". 2 minutes later, she walked over to the pile of keys and gave me the car that was parked right next to it. Was I supposed to feel bad that she had to do some work? I don't know. I didn't. On a positive note.....the second car was nice and clean, and it wasn't too expensive for a full sized car.

After the inspection told I was all set and my $300 deposit hold would be removed. Fast forward 8 days and no return of $300. When I called the Midland location I was told to call the origination location. That location looked it up and said they should have released the funds but they had a hold because of a $9 fuel charge. NEVER TOLD ABOUT THE FUEL CHARGE. From the display it looked as though I actually left the vehicle with slightly more gas. NEVER TOLD MY MONEY WAS BEING HELD UP. What the heck....$300 is not chump change.
