The positive reviews are spot on. What a great experience. The rooms are very clean 3 free alcoholic beverages with a nice buffet style dinner served from 5:30 to 7:00. The breakfast buffet is amazing too. The pool and hot tub was very nice, the hot tub was nice and hot and the jets were strong. A great great experience and will definitely stay in the near future. Massive customer service problem. I was staying for a week and needed to do my laundry I asked and they pointed out a guest laundry space. When I visited such I found it was an old style coin op. Most places have card ops. I went to the front desk to purchase quarters to be told, yes they had them but would not sell them to me. Though I pointed out I was purchasing quarters from him to use in his machines his position was he could not make enough money to make it worth selling me quarters. Even when confronted that I was paying nearly $2000 dollars and my satisfaction was at risk his position was that making me happy and helping me was not in his interest. Guy must have failed hospitality 100 in school as he clearly did not get that keeping the customer happy and creating positive customer service experiences was absolutely his job. Poor training and poor attitude. Otherwise I might have given a glowing review, but clearly this fellow did not get the essence of hospitality management. read more

The Drury is always my go to! Employees were very helpful and always super nice. This location is super convenient, it's a great walk to the downtown area. The pool and hot tub are very nice, clean and well stocked with towels. The breakfast and evening kick back are unmatched!!! They had a little hot chocolate bar set up while we're there with the coffee, tea and soft drinks. This location was a little more pricey then others I've stayed at but it was a holiday so it was expected. The rooms were spacious and clean. Would definitely recommend and will be back! read more

I really like this hotel, but they messed up several old timer womens vacations without even an apology . The elevator broke and it was a requirement for a couple of women in this group of senior women to have an elevator or have a room on the first floor. I reserved 3 rooms 7 months in advance. I could have gotten by with just one room on the first floor, but Tony and Darcy (both managers) would not just guarantee just one room on the first floor. We could have made do with that. Oh well. We are now staying at another hotel. I guess they don't really care about customers that have come back time and time again. Perhaps they don't want us staying there anymore? I don't know. First time staying at this location. It's a 5 minute walk from the main drag in town. Nice parking lot with easy access. The lobby and cocktail hour / breakfast area were clean, and both the evening and breakfast service was very good with lots of options for all. The pool here is small, but there is a nice hot tub. Nice for kids though. Small exercise room also. Our room was clean and comfortable, but a bit smaller than we are used to. The only complaint was that with the king-size bed, there was no bedside table on one side of the bed. That seemed odd. Staff were all incredibly friendly and obviously well trained. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Would recommend. read more

On check in we arrived just in time for the complementary "Kick Start" and drinks from the hotel. It was nachos and hotdogs and they had soft drinks and mixed drinks or beer. The room was clean but the carpet was damp for the whole stay...when we checked out we found they had cleaned the carpet earlier and they just shut the door so the moisture lingered. I woke up later in the night because of some movement and discovered a large black spider sharing my pillow. The pillow was thrown to the floor. The breakfast was served from 6:30 am to 9:30 am, and that was to early for a vacation road trip day. read more

We had an incredibly great stay here. I don't ask much from a hotel, aside from a comfortable bed, a fairly clean look, and breakfast - and Drury Inn hit all three! The whole design of the hotel matches the Frankenmuth style of architecture - I think that's a condition of buildings in Frankenmuth itself, but it's something to note. This particular chain of hotels always offers free breakfast AND dinner, so SCORE. I mean, it's not gourmet food, but it's always a good fallback to have, especially when dining in Frankenmuth isn't always cheap. The lobby here has a totally separate area full of tables and chairs for dining during meal hours. They have happy hour from 5-7, and you get 3 free bar drinks per adult out of that. The food perks here alone absolutely warrant an extra star from me! It was really great to be able to stay in the town of Frankenmuth, but far enough away from the business and crowds. It's just down the road from all of the shops and attractions, and although we were on the verge of colder weather during our visit, in the summer months you could easily take a nice walk deeper into the village. But, like I said, it was colder during our stay in the town so we ended up driving to spend time in the village. Our room was very nice, nothing fancy but it met our needs. There were four of us staying in one room, with two beds to share. They have TV's with cable, and plenty of outlets for our many phone/electronic device chargers. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows, and were made every day. They also have a pool and a hot tub here. I really don't swim often, but took a dip in the pool on the last night. Was only disappointed that a group of people were hogging the hot tub for a good 45 minutes, and I was really looking forward to relaxing in it. :( Also, there's a popcorn machine, and you can get coffee and tea whenever you want during the day. I would absolutely recommend this hotel if you're traveling with family and are looking for something a little less pricey. I would definitely love to stay at another one of these hotels in another city. read more

What a fantastic family hotel! I was recommended this place by a friend who had visited Frankenmuth the year previously. I'm glad I listened! If you are traveling with kids, this is a great place for you. Here's the scoop: -It's located on the main drag. We easily walked everywhere we wanted to along the Main Street. The weather was perfect, so this was wonderful after having been in the car for several hours to get up to Frankenmuth. -The rooms are spacious. We had a double queen room and did not feel cramped at all. The beds were also comfortable and we all slept great. Everything was clean and well taken care of from what I saw. -There's an indoor pool! -They offer free drinks and apps during happy hour for the guests. Yes, FREE!!! This was beyond fantastic! The drinks they offer are several beers, wine, and about a dozen mixed drinks. Each guest got 3 tickets for drinks per night you stay. There's also a free soda machine for those not interested in alcoholic beverages as well. Yay! The free apps can easily be enough for dinner for everyone in the family. The menu changes daily as well. The night we were there, they had chicken alfredo, chili, hot dogs, nachos, baked potatoes, chicken tenders, salad bar, and that's just what I can remember. This was included for each guest for each night you stayed. It's a great bonus and quite nice to get an unexpected free meal thrown in on your vacation. -They offer a free delicious breakfast! When we were there, they had eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, lots of cereals, lots of pastries and breads, and more. We were stuffed before we left for the day. -The prices are reasonable. I booked our room via Hotels.com and got the room for about $100 a night after taxes. Not too shabby. Overall, The Drury Inn is just a nice hotel to stay in. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I would recommend it to anyone traveling with kids. It's a nice place without kids, but there are a lot of kids around, so keep that in mind. Beware - They gave our room away only two hours after check in time started. We reserved suite for this stay in advance online directly through the hotel website. When we arrived at 6:30pm for our reservation, we were informed that they gave away our room. The only room type they had available was a regular room and they had to give us a roll away bed for the extra adult. This was not acceptable. The room was so much smaller than the suite we reserved and paid for. Our bill for one night for a small regular size room was still over $400. We checked in only 2 hours after the earliest possible time and they had already given away our room. I don't understand how or why this would happen. On top of all of that, they desk person said "we can still get you a room that has a view". The view was of the parking lot. Insane. I would never stay at this location again nor recommend it to anyone. read more

Horrible!! BED BUGS!!! My husband and I brought our one year old daughter here for a nice weekend at Frankenmuth! Upon approaching the hotel we learned that the hotel was under a boil advisory for water use. Additionally, due to some slight rain, the internet and cable were knocked out. Not so bad right? Well, I was awoken in the middle of the night to BED BUGS!!! I have never felt more disgusted!! The hotel staff, questioningly, asked to see the bug, like as if we wanted to wake up our one year old in the middle of the night just for fun. Thank goodness there was a bug crawling around when she got up to the room. I know bed bugs can happen anywhere but they definitely happen at the Drury Inn Frankenmuth. read more

This is a must stay. For every evening you stay, you get three free drinks and food/snacks (borderline dinner). The service is so friendly too. The room we stayed in was big and spacious with all the amenities (small fridge, coffee maker, two sinks, hair dryer, couch/bed and 2 TV's). There is also a huge breakfast every morning too. I will definitely stay here whenever I'm in Frankenmuth. It's like the "anti-Zehnders". The focus isn't on kids so much, which is just what I was looking for. They have a very small pool, with a small hot tub as well. I like that they have "adult swim" hours from 10pm-11pm. The mini welcome/cocktail party going on in the lobby is a nice touch as well. Hors d'oeuvres and drinks from 5:30-7:30 and free popcorn and fountain drinks that you can take to your room until 10pm. Free breakfast (eggs, waffles, cereals, juice, etc) was good as well. The front desk staff is really friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and nice.....free wifi and long distance. All in all, this was a great bargain when I booked on their website, and a comfortable place to stay while in the Frankenmuth/Birch Run area. read more

I would recommend this hotel to a person who is on a budget but would like to stay in town of Frankenmuth. Like any touristy place, hotels can be expensive. This hotel is located on the strip and is really the best "bang for your buck". The hotel isn't bad. It is clean (most important to me) and in a great location. In order to compete with all of the super nice hotels, the Drury Inn offers free breakfast in the morning and a happy hour at night. 1. The breakfast is decent. Belgium waffles, yogurt, cereal, eggs, you know the works of a hot breakfast. Is it the best breakfast in the world...no....but really it is the cheapest (FREE) breakfast. 2. Happy Hour- Happy hour includes 3 free drinks including well liquor, cheap wine, and beer....it may not be the best but who argues with free booze. Also happy hour includes food. They served salad, veggies, a nacho bar, soup, hot dogs, chili, chicken fingers, baked potatoes.... My family took advantage of these amenities and didn't have to pay to go to eat. It really did save us a lot of money. We fed a family of four for free during this trip. It made staying at the hotel worth it. I will say that if you are looking for a lavish dreamy hotel, do not stay here. The rooms are small, the beds are smaller, and the pool is small in comparison to other hotels in the area. For those who have never been to a Drury Inn, they are great! Free popcorn and soft drinks starting at 3 PM, kickback from 5:30-7 (dinner and three adult drinks per adult in party), and a large breakfast. They also have a pretty nice pool/hot tub. The location in Frankenmuth is no exception. The rooms were a little small for a large family, but between the dinner, breakfast, pool and proximity of local shops, we were hardly there anyway. The staff was very nice, and helpful when we asked about what to see in the local area. This is a great place for a quick weekend trip, or vacation. Just a suggestion, if you are traveling try to see what other Drury Inns you can find. We stayed at a handful through the midwest, and were not disappointed. They have all of the amenities of a high end hotels (plus a little more at "kickback") for mid-range price. read more

I agree with previous reviews that this place is afordable and very convenient. Parking is free and close to the hotel front door, Wi-Fi is free Everything is no more than about 6 blocks. If you go south you have all the local shoppes and restaurants. North has all the chain restaurants,stores, car repair etc. There is a drug store next door along with a shop selling meat,cheese and snacks. The Brewery is a block away. The only place you will have to drive to is Bronner's Christmas store. My only complaint is that there are not enough electrical outlets in the room, we had to unplug a lamp to use a laptop on the desk. read more
