The National Corvette Museum is an awesome automobile museum with something for everyone! Whether you're a gear head, friend of classic cars, or just an admirer of Chevrolet's flagship automobile, there's something for everyone here. There is handicap parking up front and when you walk into the entrance, there are already several Corvette's on display. Some of them are actually being raffled off and tickets for the raffles can be purchased at the museum. The entrance area also has two race car simulators where you can safely experience the thrill of driving a race car Corvette. There are senior discounts and military discounts (veterans and active duty) available so make sure you inform them prior to purchasing your tickets. Inside the museum is a journey through the past to the evolution of the Corvette! There are many classic Corvettes, Corvettes that were race cars, prototype Corvettes, and even celebrity owned Corvettes! There's a lot of history in this museum and they even talk about a sinkhole event that happened at the museum in 2014 and steps taken to recover the beloved cars! Some cars amazingly came out in great condition, but others suffered irreparable damage! This museum is just a real celebration of one of America's most beloved sports cars! Take a look, take photos, but go visit if you have a chance! There are guided tours we were told, but many people choose to just self tour the museum on their own! You even get a wristband, so if you don't complete the museum tour in the morning, you can come back in the afternoon and complete your tour. We came here in June 2026 before our flight home from TN to CA. It was a fun experience for both adults and kids. Kiddos got to sit in the corvette demo car (it's a simulated ride at the far end of the lobby before you enter the museum exhibits). There were new corvettes on display in the lobby, as those were the cars that new owners were going to pick up directly from the museum. Once admission is paid, you enter the exhibit area to learn about the history of the corvette and there's even an interactive area for kids to design their car and see it live on the jumbo screen. We walked into their iconic Skydome, which was awesome to visit. There is also an archives library that you can go into, there are some pens available to take home as a souvenir if you'd like. A large gift shop was on site, so we picked up a magnet! read more

Big, beautiful space dedicated to nearly everything Corvette here. Lots of parking with ADA spaces available. The ticket pricepoint is a little high ($25pp) and discount ($2pp) kinda low for the hour and a half we spent there. I found the vehicle timeline exhibit of particular interest; what was introduced for performance and or design. The racing film clips and audio effects lent a wonderfully immersive aspect to the experience, especially for kids visiting! Disaster-curious visitors would likely find the sinkhole exhibit fascinating and memorable. The onsite eatery and the gift shop were imo pretty mediocre. A wonderful and fascinating tour of corvettes from their beginning to today I did not even know that this place existed. My brother in law loves cars, has a corvette and was excited to visit this on our trip up north. I was not excited. I was also wrong. It is a very nicely done tribute to this classic race car. They have done a wonderful job of making a clean and beautiful showcase for the car in its many iterations and forms. The building itself has a unique design with a long flat expanse and a tower that rises above the main structure. There are several things to do and see in the structure. They have a grill, gift shop, car race (virtual but inside corvettes) and the museum. We did everything but the grill. It was a very nice experience. The museum was a guided tour that was given by a corvette expert. He gave us each hearing devices with earplugs that really made it easy to hear him from anywhere. He took us from the first corvettes to the most recent ones. The cars are real and showroom quality and the museum has excellent cutaways that I absolutely loved. The last part of the tour is inside the large tower and also where a sinkhole opened up years ago. The tour ended us up in the back of the gift shop. If you have never visited, I would recommend it even if you are not a corvette enthusiast as I think you will find something unique and interesting to you. read more

100+ historic Corvettes [Bowling Green KY] Had no idea there was a Corvette Museum in Kentucky but we ended up spending a couple of hours in this museum. We didn't qualify for the Senior rate tickets (62+) but they gave it to us anyway... we must look it LoL! Thank you? The museum was filled with Corvette aficionados enjoying America's Sports Car from every angle. Corvette owners have special parking and marked "Corvettes Only." The exhibits explored the history and culture of the Corvette from its very beginning. There are over 70 Corvettes on display with interactive activities you can participate in. The Corvette is the longest-running model car in the nation's history! The facility is a huge 115,000-square-foot and no other automotive museum in the world is dedicated to a single-model car. My friend and I are doing a scratch off Kentucky Adventure pack and our card this day took us to the Corvette Museum. It's a place that I've driven by numerous times but probably never would have visited. We chose to do the guided tour ($10 extra) and Barbara was an excellent guide. It was interesting to learn about the cars and the history of the brand. The sinkhole viewing was a bit creepy. I was curious about how often the cars were detailed to keep them so shiny. Apparently, they are all on a maintenance schedule. We did get to see a customer do a museum pick up and that was pretty cool. We had lunch at the Stingray Grill as well, which had standard lunch offerings. Overall, this turned out to be a fun day and the entombed Corvette remains my favorite story. read more

There is a big parking lot so don't worry about parking. When you first walk in, there are plenty of corvettes to look at and photograph. You can add on a driving simulation to our museum admission ticket, my husband tried it and found it different from driving a regular car and made him a little dizzy. The museum itself has some cool exhibits, some cars from pop culture that have been in movies or tv shows and lots of cool history for any enthusiasts. You can be sure and pickup some Corvette tshirts, sweatshirts and lots of other items before you head out. There is also a cafe if you need a snack or get hungry. read more

The redo of the museum is fantastic. Wonderful diaramas and some hands on for kids. The rotunda has exciting movie clips with Corvettes in action. These cars are beautiful. So much history behind all that these designers and engineers have accomplished. I would recommend anyone even if they don't like cars to come and appreciate them. The racing simulator was super fun, but only use the C8 on the right, because the left one always breaks down mid ride. read more

Going here was a personal pilgrimage for me. My dad worked for Chevrolet 30+ years. As the crow flies, I grew up within a two-mile radius of the Van Slyke complex where, in its 1953 incarnation, the first 300 Corvettes were handmade. For nearly a quarter-century I've lived in the St. Louis area, where Corvettes were assembled 1954-81. So the National Corvette Museum was a trip down memory lane. Beautiful sleek works of art. My favorite car by far. For $25, you can visit the museum at your own pace. They had cars from many different years. It was fun to learn about the evolution of design. There was an interactive part which you could pay extra to do a race simulation in a corvette but we didn't try that as the line was quite long. I really wish they would have had an opportunity to sit in a car and get your photo up next to one. Every car was roped off with signs to not touch. Maybe I'll have to buy one to sit in it someday. read more

Who doesn't want to look at shiny high performance speed machines? There were beautiful cars all over the place! The exhibits were themed, flowed nicely, and were graphically stunning. Thanks to the Frazier History Museum in Louisville I not only knew of this place, but it was my deciding factor of making a stop here. I mean, we all kind of knew of this place from that news story years ago about the sinkhole opening up and swallowing up some notable Corvettes, but it was kind of like tucked away in the back of our minds. When I visited I was informed that Bowling Green fought hard to have this located here and they definitely nailed it by doing so. When you drive up t the museum you are greeted, in your face, by Corvette. Everything is Corvette, building, parking lot, walking paths, and of course, the inside. Upon entry, you go to the admission area, purchase your ticket, and then make your way to a photo op area, they are trying to get you to purchase a photo at the end. When you do make it through the area you are then off to the races. As you enter you see the beginnings of the Corvette and how it has become a part of pop culture everywhere. As you progress through the museum you see how the car has gone through many redesigns but still remained a favorite of car enthusiasts. One of my favorite things in here was how you were walking through eras not just an exhibit. It made you feel like you were walking a streetscape through Americana. Each era of design is represented here. One of my favorite things to see here was the Corvette that was bricked up in a supermarket. It now resides in this museum in a mock up of how it looked in the supermarket. Then you make your way to the atrium area. Excuse me, the Skydome, where the infamous sinkhole opened up. In here are housed some of the rarest of Corvettes and what is now a window that looks down into the sinkhole. It is pretty neat to have a look down to see this. There is an exhibit that accompanies this that shows the depth of the hole and where the vehicles had landed when the fell through. There is also an area (closed off when I visited but viewable through windows) of some of the vehicles that fell. There is so much to see here that it is hard to remember everything. But the things that stick out is the vehicles used in racing, the gallery where there are portraits of the vehicle, and seeing the design models. Tours are available at an extra fee and they give you more information on what you are seeing. And of course at the end of the museum you empty out into the gift shop. Things can get pricy in here, but I'm sure if you own a Corvette that is not a factor to you. Me, I just wanted a magnet. read more

We took a day trip to Bowling Green from Louisville on September 10th to specifically see the temporary summer exhibit at the Corvette Museum regarding the 10-year anniversary of the sinkhole incident. This was my first time here and I would probably consider it a one-and-done unless they have a future special exhibit that intrigues me. The temporary exhibit commemorating the 2014 sinkhole was interesting. It ended 9/15/2024. The viewing window in the floor of the main showroom to see the sinkhole was not for the faint-of-heart. Vertigo! The cars are gorgeous and the educational hands on displays were a nice surprise. We were all impressed with the informational presentations regarding design and concept development, historical facts, and the eye candy. Very nice venue, well maintained, and friendly employees. Price was $20 after military discount and senior discounts are also available. Please note, time zone at the Museum is CST, not EST. We were able to go "back in time" because we traveled from the Louisville area. read more

If you are a fan of the Corvette this is the museum for you. The museum starts out displaying the custom cars ordered by customers brand new off the line. There was a Z06 and an ERay. I've wanted to see the ERay and it did not disappoint. The museum has prototypes, old cars and new ones. The museum was a good size, it took about an hour and a half to walk through. I'd go back to see the new cars that come out each year. read more

That was an amazing experience. Seeing the history of the corvette was pretty cool. From the toys, to drivers, to models, it was all so interesting. The museum itself was bigger than I expected and lots to read up on. So many donated or on load pieces. Just wow. Seeing where the sink hole happened and learning about that was unbelievable. According to my kiddo, "This is the best place ever." If you're a car enthusiast, it would be hard to match this collection of classic and contemporary Corvettes. It's fairly kid friendly, but they can't touch the cars... obviously. They've done a nice job repairing the skydome after the sink hole incident. It's a bit of a hike from Louisville, but worth the trip , especially if you can add a few stops along the way - Bucee's, Abe Lincoln's birth place (National Park), Mammoth Cave, etc. read more

We visited the corvette museum back in July when my father in law opted for the corvette delivery. I'm not a "car aficionado" by any means, but the tour of the factory was one of the most unique experiences ever. If you have time, definitely do this! Being able to see the process of how the cars are built and assembled is AMAZING. So much goes into the process, and to be able to witness the magic happening right there in the factory was a one of a kind experience. They provide headphones so you can hear the guide while you are walking throughout the factory. You are also required to wear safety glasses. They transport you from the museum to the factory via van, so you don't have to worry about driving and figuring out parking. Learning about the history of the Corvette in the museum portion was very informative. Even learning about the sinkhole that occurred at the museum was interesting!! It was decorated nicely with plenty of cars to see. The bathrooms in the building are very clean, which is nice. Great little museum for car lovers. Highly recommend doing the factory tour if you can. There's a little gift shop with plenty of memorabilia to choose from to remember your visit. There is also a bar and grill attached to the museum called the Stingray Grill. We had lunch there and left with bellies full. Amazing experience, especially being able to accompany someone who purchased a corvette for the museum delivery. Check this place out and then make your way to some of the bourbon distilleries in Kentucky! read more

I'm not exactly a car aficionado, nor do I have a particular affinity for Corvettes, but my son and I had a great visit to this museum. About an hour drive from Nashville, it was well worth the trip. The museum feels very clean and modern, and has enough on display to justify the admission ($18.00) but not so much that it is overwhelming. In about 2 hours, you can casually see everything on display, reading information, etc. I particularly enjoyed the layout, which essentially brings you on a chronological path from the 1950's era Corvettes to present day. And, of course, like Disney world, you have to end / exit at the gift shop. read more

If you're not a Corvette fan, or a car fan, the museum is laid out and presented to make even the disinterested interested. For car and Corvette fans it is Mecca. I'm not a Corvette person but having the opportunity to tour this museum helped me to really appreciate the ingenuity of this machine. I really enjoyed seeing the history of the Corvette and the unique designs. Although I didn't participate, it was fun watching people race in a Corvette simulation (pay for activity). I had no idea that a sinkhole at the museum had swallowed eight Corvettes in 2014. So that was an added interest to the self guided tour. They actually have a space that you can look down to see part of the cave that opened up in the museum. There's also a really neat section of 2024 Corvettes lined up that have been purchased and will be given to the owners on the 22nd. read more

Granted, my husband and I arrived with like an hour left of the museum being open, but we enjoyed ourselves immensely. My husband and I have been through this particular museum at least three or four times prior to when we were there on June 8, 2025. The staff at this museum are always absolutely the nicest bunch of people to talk to them and interact with them, every single time we go to this museum. Even the security guards at this museum are amazing as well. One of the security guards was sweet enough to let me sit down and catch my breath, after I literally came running back inside, right as they were closing to return the wheelchair that I had borrowed for my husband to use as we went through the museum on the aforementioned date. The guard even told me to "take as long as I needed to take sitting on the bench, because anybody with eyes in their head can see that I was just catching my breath" -- which I appreciated immensely. read more

I was fortunate enough to attend a function in their event space. The space is very pretty, but the best part was that they really took acoustics into account when designing it. Great system and sound tampering in such a large space. Lots of windows and natural light. read more

Visiting this museum exceeded my expectations. I like Corvettes a lot, have never owned one, but plan to someday. Employees were friendly and welcoming. The cars displayed were amazing. The space is beautiful inside and out. The history displayed on the walls and on screens was fascinating, and I admire all involved in this vehicle's creation and production. A day filled with over 60 years Corvette history and memorabilia. My parents had friends who owned Vettes & I was lucky to ride in many of them as a child. Now to learn the history behind the experiences was all the more meaningful. Who knew one was "buried" within a building? This is a must stop if you are traveling in the area. We had such a great time touring the museum. If you are a Corvette owner you get front row parking treatment!! When you first walk in the new cars that are ready to be delivered to their new owners greet you. What a sight! Lots of exciting things to see and read. The best part is the re-enactment of the sink hole and watching the actual video and seeing the cars affected and the restoration. Staff is nice the gift shop had souvenirs that were reasonable priced. Going during the week is better as you can easily stroll through and see things with very little rush. read more

It's not your typical car museum.... all the cars run....many are donated.... Some are on loan and 8 were swallowed by a sinkhole. Corvettes from all 8 generations are on display, many have interactive displays.... There is even a Hot Wheels display that's interactive and is fun for the kids and adults too. Since the Corvette factory is right down the street you can even arrange to pick your new Corvette up at the museum... that includes VIP treatment! To those that like to buy the occasional souvenir..... the gift shop is expansive and the pricing is reasonable. If you like Corvettes you will like this museum. The building's architecture is certainly unique. I'm happy these vehicles are made in America and actually toured the factory here in addition to the main museum. The factory portion was somewhat interesting. You can spend as long or as little time as you want in the museum. There are videos of various lengths to watch. You can also book a guided tour for groups of up to 20. We did not opt for that at our visit. I have not been since the sink hole incident. Reading reviews here, it sounds interesting. They have a Corvette Simulator in which "Guests of all ages can get behind the wheel of a C6 Corvette and pilot it around a virtual racetrack with our Corvette Simulator! Sessions are $10 each, and passengers are welcome. The simulator is located in the lobby, within the Museum." I didn't try the simulator. Active, Veteran, or Retired Military received $5 Off admission with ID - which is always a nice touch! Well done Corvette Museum!
