The boat, and staff were amazing. A wonderful experience and worth every penny. Had my wedding on the yacht and everyone loved it.

You can sit in the air conditioning or outside on the upper deck. We primarily sat outside but having the choice is great because of extreme weather. We had plenty of time to enjoy King Street before our departure back. The ticket/boarding staff were friendly and efficient. They had their system down :0) Want to go to both sides of the water, go to two States? Check Them Out!

We were scheduled to leave at 11:25am & arrive @ the Wharf at 12:35pm. They started loading at 11:30 & pulled off at 11:35am. We made one stop in Alexandria where we sat for about 5 minutes. We sat inside the air conditioned cabin for most of the ride because it was a hot 100 degree day however we did walk out while moving to take in some of the fresh air. It was nice. My suggestion is for them to make an announcement as they are walking through the air conditioned cabin to let people know "they have arrived at xxxx and anyone debarking should do so once we 'be stopped." There was a family there with us who did not hear the announcement as we were approaching to dock & they never got off because they were waiting for someone to say it was okay to get off. So they had to ride to the Wharf & back to Alexandria to get off. There was a worker walking through when we were in the cabin but they didn't say anything & the speaker wasn't very loud initially. Otherwise this was a great way to travel.

The two of them make a great team. It's obvious from their introduction that they love sharing their passion of sailing with others. Before we even got to the dock I was in contact with Josh on the phone and email. He responded quickly and was happy to offer some amenities. Josh offered me a few pick up locations and offered to drop us at our hotel marina. Once on the boat we covered a quick but thorough safety brief. We toured the river before entering the bay. Carmelita and Josh made suggestions for restaurants and other activities on Solomons and pointed them out as we passed them. Our tour took us around Solomons Island and under the bridge at sunset. Carmelita took pictures of us the whole time and shared them with us after the tour. It was great talking with them about how they got into sailing and how they learned their craft. The boat was clean and appeared to be sound. On the way back lighting storms were surrounding us. The light show was really cool to watch. The storm was about 30 miles so there was no danger and we felt safe the Josh and Carmelita were keeping an eye on the weather. I would definitely recommend their tour or charter service. They were great hosts and provide a memorable experience. You should book your tour now.

Where do I begin? I was looking for a yacht company to charter a group of therapists and doctors to…read morecelebrate the end of the quarter as well as sailing into 10 years of being in business. When I found this company, I was excited 1. because they were black owned and not booked the weekend we needed the charter and 2. They were financially appealing with the luxury boats that they offer. The first issue was when I received the contract and the price on their website DID NOT match what was sent to me via contract. When I asked about the additional $150 charge I was told that was the automatic gratuity that was included. On the website with the pricing list specified the tip was customary, which was not a problem. We were going to tip an automatic 20% regardless. It was the arrogance of the owner who kept telling me he's been in business 12 years. He knows that I didn't read the contract because he knows he updated his pricing and so forth. I then challenged him by letting him know that my mathematical skills are in fact top-tier, and that's not the issue. I said I will send you a screenshot of what I'm looking at so that we can be on the same page. Once he received my email he apologize and said thank you. He will make the correction. After I sent the contract, I was told I had to pay the deposit within 48 hours. I wanted to confirm payment shortly after and I was told I have to use Zelle, cashapp, or Venmo. I expressed to him that we are a group of physicians and we will not be able to send that type of funds through those channels we would like to use a credit card then the owner chastised me that I need to be sure I'm ready to pay before he drafted up a PayPal invoice because for every invoice via PayPal, he has to pay and he's a small business owner. I expressed to him that we are interested and we've already signed the contract. We just need to pay. It took 72 hours to confirm my payment because he told me he was traveling from Naples to Miami and btw we texted the entire time instead of emailing. Finally, we paid the invoice which we had to pay in full because he was unable to send us multiple links for the invoice. The deposit should've been one invoice the second deposit, and then the final deposit. He also said that we had to pay in cash for the tip, which also was not a problem however, if we're paying in full, you should deduct the tip from that invoice to pay the captain since it was included. Fast-forward to the next 24 hours I received a text from someone with the wrong reservation information and wrong name stating that I needed to be to the docs at 6 PM for my charter I expressed to the person texting me from this new number that I am not the person they are looking to contact and my charter is for a different day and under a different name, they apologized. I contacted the owner again to inquire about this misunderstanding, and his attitude was extremely snippy with the arrogant tone stating that he would give me my money back, and I told him yes because his service has been extremely unprofessional and day after day, there has been an ongoing issue of some sort this process was not seamless AT ALL!!! When I looked up this business, it has not been registered since 2011 and he is clearly operating fraudulently which is why he wants cash and does not have the proper business tools to charter. Instead of him being arrogant about being in business for 12 years with having so many errors and none of his business logistics together he should actually be grateful that I was still willing to book with him until he over booked my charter.

It was significantly cheaper than the Gaylord and less than a quarter mile away. Checking in was a little odd. After walking in the door, I had to walk up to the next floor for the lobby- you can also take the elevator up. The hotel is under construction, but I didn't hear any noise. One of the elevators was ACTIVELY under construction when I was there, but still usable. The room itself was cozy and comfortable. It was fine for a couple of nights, and since I was there for a conference, I wasn't in my room much. The room didn't have a microwave, but one is located in the lobby. The mini fridge kept my drinks and leftovers cold. The water pressure, provided shampoo/conditional/body/wash, and hair dryer were wonderful. The phone looked dusty and dirty, but I didn't use it. I actually slept on the other side of the bed so I wouldn't be too close to the phone. I'm not even sure why hotels have phones these days. Everyone has a cell phone. I didn't go to the bar downstairs, but on my second night here, I saw quite a crowd enjoying the bar area. Ironically, some of them were drinking spirits and juices/mixer out of their own red solo cups at the tables. I've never seen that at a hotel before, but I didn't ask questions and just went up to my cozy room to chill. I wasn't a fan of the National Harbor area, but if the conference I attend each year is held is this area again, I'd stay at this hotel again- but I wouldn't use the room phone.

I checked in to this hotel 24 hours in advance, requesting my mobile key, but they wouldn't send it. They kept telling me I had to stop at the desk upon arrival. I felt like that was redundant. I don't have that problem with other hotels. You have a valid credit card on file. I don't understand the problem. Now, if you're familiar with this area. They have a garage across the street available for $24 per 24 hours. With in & out entry. There was no need to move our car. Everything was within walking distance. They offer European Breakfast for $15.00 per person if you're into that. Mine was included with my booking. I have southern roots, and we need a little more than that. It was good, though. Would I do it again. Probably not. Now, onto the room. I booked a Waterview but received a partial Waterview. Our room was on the 5th floor , and one window faced a building. I would have preferred to be higher. There is no microwave in the room. Only a small fridge. There is no closet. Our room was clean. Which is a plus. It's at a convenient location, but I would prefer more space. So, if you're into Lofts, this would be the place for you. I will be considering other hotel options for my next overnight stay. It's probably ok for the short-term stay. Personally, I'm more comfortable with suites.
