It would help to make the customer aware that no light bulb is supplied with the installation of a garage door opener. I expected that when the technicians leave my house, the equipment should be in 100% working order. The very best solution, in order to provide OUTSTANDING customer service would be for M.A.O.D. to provide a light bulb--whether the customer is charged explicitly for it or not makes no difference. ORDINARY customer service would be to advise the customer that a light bulb is not included. BELOW AVERAGE CUSTOMER SERVICE, which is what I received, is to wait for the customer to call and ask the question, and reply, "the price is for the garage door opener, not for a light bulb. . . ." The tone was somewhat self-righteous, condescending, and even SNOTTY, to use with a customer. The installation service was excellent, and the product appears to be of good quality, and a good value (thought not an exceptional value) for the price.
