Ordered take away pizza and was told 15 minutes. Wife made the 15 minute drive there and was told another 20 minutes. Paid and waited patiently for 40 minutes. Left as we had to put our toddler to bed and got a call 1 hour and 15 minutes after ordering to say it was ready. When we explained the situation, we were met with "ah well it got busy. Bye" In the very least, offering a refund or offering to make them free of charge for another night would be expected. Extremely disappointed with the staff member who I spoke with. read more

Good food in the bistro. Good beer on tap (Fat Yak) and very friendly staff. This is my 3rd dinner here this week!

On Sunday I stopped in to try the big breakfast, it was an honest pub meal. Nothing fancy, just tasty traditional brekky grub...exactly what you want on a cold morning. My only issue was that my poached eggs came out fried. read more

We loved our recent stay in "Jessica's Cottage". It was perfect for a taste of Victoria's early…read morehistory. The miner's cottage, built in the 1880s, is one of three. It had simple furnishings, was warm and comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped. It was easy to walk in and make ourselves at home. There's even a piano! The owner warmly welcomed us and made sure that our needs were met. He told us a brief history of the Gayford family's cottages and the restoration work that had been done. We learned that the bricks of the cottage's kitchen floor were original. A framed copy of an invitation to young Jessie Gayford's marriage on February 4th, 1913, was on the wall. We enjoyed the quiet, pretty garden, and explored the area on foot and by car. It was the perfect blend of comfort and history! *We have enjoyed a second visit and hope to return soon.
