Went to class for 3 weeks and Jonathan sends her a text that he has to cancel her because she doesn't speak English. I'm trying to understand that. Who needs to talk to exercise. And what kind of business are you running and English only business? You are wrong and you are not right Jonathan. I am truly shocked and disappointed. So sad. Oh and you are from Haiti. How can you discriminate? Wow so sad.

But I sucked it up and said "how bad can it be?" So I signed up....about a day later Johnathan called me and sent me an email on what to expect the first day. - bring clean sneakers (helps keep the mats clean (bootcamp is in a gymnastics environment) - don't forget socks - bring water (you'll definitely need it) - bring your Groupon voucher just in case - towel is good too if you sweat - get there 5-10 min early for a good parking spot (its not bad at all....I mean 530am lol) There is a good amount of people. I love how Johnathan creates different stations and it will depend on the day. Monday - Strength and Cardio Tuesday - Terrible Tuesday's for a reason....Many rounds of circuit workouts Wednesday - Circuit Training Thursday - Tabata Friday - Boxing Also, he measures your body fat, weight and parts of your body. He tells you to journal your food (myfitnesspal) and helps you stay on top of your goal. I look forward to each workout....if you can't do 530 they also have 630am....and I believe 845am but on mon-wed-fri only. It's a fun time. I needed a jumpstart and I'm happy I signed up.

I have been working out at Crossfit Nutley for almost three months. I can honestly say Jason and…read moreWendy really run this gym with a passion. I've never worked out before and was really unhealthy. Now I look forward to the workout every time. Give yourself a chance and enjoy a free trail to see why you will fall in love with exercising again. Crossfit Nutley is definitely the best gym in the area. Here are some highlights that distinguish them from competitors: * The essential classes- During the essential classes, you will learn all the basic movements that are built to daily workout. You get a lot of attention (essential classes are usually even smaller than regular sessions) and the instructors will get to know your fitness level to help you adjust later exercises once you are with a regular class. * They really focus on your forms- The instructors never, ever stop teaching you and always demonstrate every exercise and will monitor your movements. They will also help adjust the exercise with your level of fitness. They really push you hard but they also monitor the workout to make sure you never put yourself into a dangerous situation. * Small classes, easy parking. Clean facility and equipment- There are always spaces around the gym and parking is never an issue. You have to sign up before the class and the class is capped at 15 people max. This ensures you will have enough room to work out and you will not be stepping on each other. They clean the equipment for almost every class and the floor is mopped clean several times a day. * Cheaper classes, same effeteness as getting your own personal trainer- The basic membership is 3 times a week and the price is the cheapest/hr for this kind of physical training facilities around the area. Because you are working with a group, so you won't wing and complaint about your exercise and you get better effect than working with a personal trainer. * People are just so nice!! Everyone is just super kind. They don't judge you and they are always encouraging. You will definitely be motivated and look forward to every work out.

After a few years of sterile and bland yoga at The Y (that's not meant as a knock) it was nice to…read morejump back in the deep end at a place that's whole hog when it comes to incense burning, the trippy and atmospheric music floating through the building, and all sorts of 'new age' doohickeys decorated throughout.  (My very first class and the instructor pulled out a Shruti box to play at the very start and end of our practice... that was a first for me.) The entire biz looks great (front/store, the studio itself, the locker room in back).  It's clean and inviting and you can tell the entire staff cares about the place. I love that the class doesn't face the mirrors for class (the absolute worst) and every few feet there's the 'STUFF' bucket (napkins, tissues, cleaning solution for your mat) which is such a great 'cherry on top' that I never saw in other yoga studios I've been to. Pricing is solid (I was originally lured here through a deal over at Groupon). To date I've bounced between four different classes/levels/instructors.  Each class was unique and challenging and every teacher has been welcoming, supportive and a total pro. The studio is right by a busy intersection - metered parking on the street (I believe an hour max) and a municipal lot behind the studio (metered till 6pm, I think) for more than one hour. Even if I'm officially long in the tooth and nowadays Child's Pose and Shavasana are more my jam instead of Bhairavasana or Eka Hasta Vrksasanav - I'm just glad to have found a cool place to get on the mat and zen out for a spell.  (Will I ever advance up to their 'P3' hot yoga class?  Not even with some help from Ganapati and Hanuman!)

I have completed 3 sessions, and each time, I am amazed at how great my mind, body, and soul feels. I attended a 8:15 session, and the sweat, that you release, along with the stretching was very good for my achy body. I could not keep up with the pace as a newbie, but Mike is so kind to let you go at your own pace. I recommend bringing a beach towel to line your yoga mat because, you will slip, and slide from all the sweat you release. Also bring a gallon of water, you will need the hydration. I love at the end of class, Mike gives a cold towel that has soaked in eucalyptus. After an intense work out you feel like the angels of earth has opened up the sky's; that's really how good the cool wet towel feels. My favorite part is at the end of the class, there is a awesome meditation. I love how it clears all the unimportant stuff in your head space. I walked in with things on my mind. I walked out feeling love for humanity, peace, happiness, and more aligned with my inner true self. Sleep- Oh my, I got the best sleep of my life. I normally do magnesium flakes in a hot bath. But hot yoga gave me the best sleep of my life (I repeat) I believe in going to bed in happy, peaceful state. And this is my new go to for an intense work out, sweat out all the junk, hydrate like crazy, and sleep better than anything in this world. This is the cure for insomnia! Thank you Mike for this awesome space.
