She teaches jewelry metalsmithing for all skill levels, from beginning to advanced. The group classes focus on technique so you can create jewelry from your own designs. You will be able to create earrings, chains, bracelets, pendants, brooches, and rings from copper and silver. You start out learning to saw and polish metal sheet, and move up into soldering, stone setting, and casting. Bella's classes are well organized. If you have the basic skills and are interested in a specific technique (making your own stamping tools for example), Bella is happy to work with you on that topic. She sometimes offers specialty classes such as forging, repousse, salt water etching, anodizing, and granulation. Bella is always attentive and easy to talk to. She is patient with questions but insists you doing work yourself so you learn techniques. Her classes are taught at Desert Art Supplies in Henderson, NV and you can buy materials from them if needed (this is NOT required). There is plenty of free parking.

After the first class with Edgar, Annabel was so excited and eager to continue. Edgar spent time with her explaining 'how' to draw... sounds basic, but as it turns out, isn't. Her dog portrait was pretty good for first try. After the second class with Sarah, Annabel emerged saying, "Nana, I love art class, can I go every day?" Well, she is working on a portrait of her and her Mom now and she can't wait for next week's class. Sarah King has a truly very nurturing, nourishing energy and it is palpable in the studio and the other students. After class Wednesday, Annabel drew a picture of her at softball from her phone.
