I recently used National Property Inspections to complete an inspection of a home I was going to purchase. NPI came highly recommended to me by my realtor so I decided to use them for the inspection. When I gave them a call, I was able to schedule the inspection rather quickly which was great! I had the pleasure of meeting with Jon McCreath, the inspector who looked at my home. Jon was a pleasure to work with, very knowledgeable, and definitely has a passion for what he does! He inspected everything from the roofing, exterior, interior, electrical, foundation, HVAC systems, etc. He also was taking pictures of what he was looking at for his report. Before he left, he personally showed me some of the areas of concern and different things he found. When Jon emailed me my report, I was completely blown away with the amount of detail and information he provided. This was a 48-page report full of clear notes, areas of concerns, pictures, and most importantly, recommendations of repairs needed. My realtor was able to use the information provided in NPI's report to get the seller to make some necessary repairs to the home before we closed. Excellent service!! Used the write up for warranty work and it was right on point. Very detailed and helpful in getting what was needed fixed. John referenced code when it applied and made it less of an issue to get the work done. Was able to catch things that I would never have seen. We used Jon on our new build and had 3 inspections with him, our initial, just prior to closing and then the 11-month. All were done professionally and thoroughly. He was even accommodating when the builder had not had the gas turned on yet and returned to complete his initial inspection. His reports were provided quickly and very detailed with photographs to back up his findings. All in all, it was a great experience and pleasure to work with Jon. Jon was recommended to us through our realtor. We are from out of town, so it was difficult for us to,be present at the time of inspection. Thank God, our son lived in the community, and had to stand in the gap. Although we were not physically present, we still felt that connection as if we were there.
