Horrible experience. My 14 year-old (special needs) son loves military history and was super-excited when we saw this place. We went inside and he was immediately in heaven...ready to spend every dime of his souvenir money there. Then he picked up a gas mask and started to look it over. The owner (I presume) immediately stomped over, took it from him, and, in an ugly voice, threw him out of the store. My son wasn't in the store for five minutes, and the whole incident didn't last ten seconds. No warning, no "please ask for help with the merchandise." Just an angry order to leave the store. My son was in tears for hours. Avoid this place. I'd give it zero stars if I could. There are several other militaria stores in Gettysburg that will treat you better. read more

It is a current and past military equipment store. Some of the stuff is dirt cheap knock offs that you know they bought from amazon or eBay. But some of it is pretty cool and reasonable well priced. The previous reviews all talk about how rude the owners are, honestly I didn't meet any owners just a 12 year old boy running the shop by himself. Found it odd he was there by himself but he did a pretty decent job. Wasn't bad there and I got a gas mask too. Overall nice. read more

One of the last true surplus stores around. I have been dealing with the owners for more than 30 years at the old and new location. Exceptional selection and great prices. If you are a collector, reenactor, airsofter, or just want to have some gear for a day of want sure to come, I do not think it is possible to walk out of here without finding something that you "have to have" or that you thought was long gone from the surplus market, but there it is right in front of you and at a fair price! So by reading the reviews I'm not the only one that was treated horribly. My son had entered the store before I did as I was on the phone and I didn't want to be rude and walked in simply to see if they carried drums. He said hello to the Clerk then he comes back out and says "she is so rude she yelled at me and said where is your parents"? So at first I thought perhaps he was overreacting as he is very sensitive . I go in and say to her I was right at the door on the phone she stares at me with an evil blank stare and says nothing . so I look at her and says "hello" with an elevated voice as I got no response and she looks back at me and says I asked him where his parents are so what? Then says to me.. ignorantly.. why are you being so rude ? I said I'm being rude.. my son came in to say hi and you didn't even acknowledge him I said at least knowledge a child (who he's 12 by the way) he had a simple question. she starts screaming "get out of here we don't want you in here * I told her gladly cuz you're nuts and I wouldnt spend a dime in the store. And she said something as I was leaving but I was done with being yelled at over nothing. Unless you want to endure the rudest treatment ever, I would never step foot in this establishment and it doesn't look like I'm the first person to state this. Maybe they should get a new clerk . My wife and I entered with sealed bags containing food we had purchased down the street and the female owner gleefully told us to leave the store. When we were walking out she happily made another comment about a sign being on the door and questioned our literacy. The odd part was that I was going in to buy hot sauce (a food item) but there was no food allowed in their army surplus store. Never saw a business owner take so much delight in losing a sale and insulting customers. Nice people. read more

Beware of the "No Return or Exchange" policy. Both locations are very poorly lit. After buying a new item, we realized upon getting home and into better lighting , that the finish was obviously flawed. Despite readily admitting it was a faulty product, both the owner and his wife said it was my tough luck, almost gleefully. Disappointing. read more

The Worst, Stay Away !!!! My son went in to simply ask if they sold drums.I was at the door finishing up a phone call as i did not want to be rude and enter while on the phone. He comes back out very upset and said I said hello to that lady and she just started yelling at me and said Where are your parents???. He is twelve so its not like an infant was running around alone. I entered and said to her "Mam, i was right by the door and she just started at me, said nothing, with a face of evil. So with an elevated voice is said "Hello" and she responds "WHAT, why are you being ignorant?".. I replied I'm not being ignorant you are screaming at my son..She Then proceeds to be belligerent and scream at us to get out of the store!! Upon reading other reviews, she is clearly crazy and the things she has said to others based on these reviews, like "go kill yourself !!!, this store should be shut down.
