Good people man. Went in close to the store closing i found a used Ruger 22mag that I liked Waited a sec as they were helping other customer's they asked if I wanted to look at something and came over and opened the case to let me look at the gun. The woman was supper nice and polite I wanted the gun went to the counter did the paperwork had the gun in 10 to 15 mins was also asked if I wanted ammo for it which was supper nice the selection of 22 mag is ok. Pretty nice place. I like that they have a little bit of everything; I didn't go around the whole store I just went right up to the counter because I called ahead and I had a mission of buying a specific item but what caught my eye was a bunch of video games and a ton of firearms. I got the best deal I could find for what I was looking for, saved about $60 compared to online sites. There was several girls working who were eating a plate of chips and then immediately handling firearms, they at least should've washed their hands rather than getting Cheetos dust on weapons for sale. But at least they were nice and seemed to be decently knowledgeable. I read several reviews claiming that the employees are rude but I experienced quite the opposite so I don't believe those reviews to be accurate. I had them take a look at something to see if I could do a trade but they only offered me $100 for something I paid $350 for. They at least were honest over the phone saying they have way too many pieces so they did warn me before I came in, but I still feel like that's too low despite the fact. The paperwork didn't take long (it helped that I didn't need to browse) and I was in and out in 20-30 minutes. This is a great place to check out if you're looking to purchase a new or used firearm, they have a wide selection and offer fair prices, although at this time I would recommend that if you're looking to sell a firearm I would shop around with the other stores. read more

I called this place knowing they had a specific gun and the gentleman I spoke to said they didn't have it, I was told by someone who gave me this lead that it's because of my out of state area code. That is a terrible way to do business and would not recommend going to this place. read more

Customer Service Review: The sales associates were polite and friendly during my visit. One associate was eager to let me see the firearm I wanted to purchase. I was ready to finalize my purchase/payment but the instant background check was not cooperating (paid for the instant check but sometimes additional time is needed for a decision to be made by the PA State Police ). I was assured I would be contacted as soon as a decision is made (issue) in several business days and the firearm would be there. I called several days later and was told it still hadn't come back yet ... I called back a week later and was placed on hold (or the phone was set down) for several minutes with just silence. At 14 business days later I realized they were NOT going to call me back in regards to my application. They Lied. No Follow Up. I was not given any guidance about challenging the decision. I was just forgotten about. After months and still no follow up about my attempted purchase until I received a visit from the PA State Police (Adams County)investigating my firearm purchase application from the Gettysburg Trading Post. What? Yeap. Unreal. That's another story. Store Appearance/Smell/Merchandise: Located in Adams County. Old repurposed commercial building; ok selection of merchandise, also a buy/sell business. The staff is very unpleasant to talk to. They're very snobby and assume that you have no knowledge on firearms whatsoever. I'm a gunsmith myself. I was taking a look at a couple different firearms today and I dropped the slide on handgun that I was handling. I was informed by an employee that that is not a good thing to do because there is a chance of, sharing the sear and then proceeded to say that it would be more expensive to fix this year then to purchase the handgun again when in fact that's not true the only time that is a very old gun or a cheaply gun so the staff needs educated and also they need to be able to value firearms more appropriately. They undervalued my Handgun by $315 offering me less than $100 for a $700 firearm. These people have only move as many firearms as possible. They don't care about relationships. They don't care about education or anything hilltop armory and hunters den have way better prices, and they can order you anything that they don't have in stock. read more

This is my local "go to" merchandiser for ammo. Normally they have a very good selection of ammo (in spite of market fluctuations) at fair prices. They also have a very nice selection of firearms for sale for law abiding Americans. On occasion, after reading up on one of the latest firearms to hit the market, I know I can stop by and chances are good they will have it in stock. I'm actually able to look at, touch and feel how the gun fits my hand as well as functions. Staff is polite and helpful, but in no way pushy or overbearing. You're most always greeted with a very genuine "hello" upon entering and after that, free to browse without being constantly asked "may I help you". If you need assistance, simply ask, and one of the kind and knowledgeable staff members will be more than happy to assist you. read more

Typically on a trade in you can expect about 60% of a guns actual value. I was offered just pennies on the dollar for my guns. I was offered a total of one hundred dollars for 2 Handguns. One being a Sig Saur. I was so stunned that I was actually speechless. Just for shits and giggles, I had seen they buy gold. I asked what I could get for a 2.5G bar. She said , $59.00, HaHHaHaHa, yea if gold was about $660 AN OUNCE !! I will NOT be returning. I'm continually disappointed with this establishment. Their customer service is terrible. When picking out a firearm I asked the opinion of the gentleman behind the counter. No advise given. Just "I'm letting you figure it out". I've walked in to pay on a layaway and was addressed with a snobby attitude and "What do you want?". When it came time to pick up my purchase, I had to wait 15 minutes so that someone could eat a sandwich and then leave for the night after my sale. Not to mention when I finally got my firearm, the box was just handed to me. No quality check, no showing me what was included, no asking if I had any questions. When I got home, the firearm was FILTHY. It took 3 tries to get the barrel clean. To my surprise all the gunpowder was hiding something.... damage. My firearm has scratches on the barrel and slide. The magazine is not secure. To pull it back it takes way too much effort. This gun was a gun that was taken to the range and had many many rounds put through it. Though it was advertised as "used". This firearm should not have even been on the shelf it was so BEAT UP. It wasn't even worth the price I paid. Like any product they sell, it was overpriced. Returning it is out of question. This place doesn't do refunds. Even a down payment on a layaway can't be refunded/transferred if you change your mind (this is what happened to my fiancé). And though I don't have any proof. I have reason to believe my purchase was swapped. This gun is NOT the gun I chose out of the case. read more

Fast friendly service. Nice selection and the staff worked as a team. The inventory of new and used items adds options big box stores don't. I like being able to see inventory listings on line and links to see where the prices are even if your just window shopping. Never felt pressured in the purchase process, would recommend you check it out if you have time and are in the Gettysburg area. read more

These people are crooks. I took 2 tools in to sell. One was new. Never been used. Sitting in my garage sense I bought it for $225 they offered $40 for both. Fair warning, unless you are totally desperate for cash right this minute they are thieves. I will never go into this place again. read more

After a recommendation from my nephew, I went on Gettysburg Trading Post website & looked at the list of hand guns they had available. There were quite a few I considered but narrowed it down to 4 guns to look at. I told the young lady who helped me that I had come to just look so she pulled the 4 I was interested in seeing. She was very knowledge & helpful as I had lots of questions to ask. She pulled the 4 guns I was interested in, showed me how each one operated & never make me feel like I was being pressured to buy that day. They were very busy that day but none of the 3 people that helped me made me feel like I was being a bother to them. They were willing to share tips & other information & I walked out of there the day with my new handgun. I will most certainly go back when I decide to buy a holster & any other necessary items I need & I will definitely recommend them to anyone else who is looking to purchase a firearm.
