I was scheduled for a business trip to Madrid, Spain and hoped to spend an additional week or so…read morewith my wife and youngest daughter to take in some other cities in Spain after my meetings had ended. I had let matters go until I had but barely a week to arrange intercountry travel, hotel rooms and other logistics. The Spouse of one of my co-workers is a travel agent at national Travel. I called her and in a matter of days everything was worked out for us to travel from Madrid to Saville, to Valencia, and then onto Barcelona from which we departed to travel back home. National Travel worked out every detail including drivers, English speaking guides, tickets (eliminating any line waiting), schedules, train travel, and air travel. Moreover, National Travel kept in constant contact by a specialized app, text, and email -- and updated our schedule as needed. To the extent we needed to be anywhere, there was never a moment when we did not know when and where we needed to be there and there was always (except in one instance) a professional driver in a new clean vehicle to pick us up. (The one instance involved a circumstance in which a driver was stuck in traffic caused by an accident and could not pick us up. We were instructed to take a cab -- and received a refund for the cost of the cab before we made it back to the USA.) I highly recommend National Travel and in particular Eloise and Sarah there. I will definitely use National Travel in the future. Incidentally, the pricing for the trip was excellent and I believe it was significantly better than I could have achieved trying to arrange the trip individually over the internet. National Travel saved me on cost and my own time and arranged an exceptional trip. Thank you, National Travel!!!

Had my itinerary printed before I got to my Florida destination, got there and the hotel…read morereservation was non existence company travel, meaning I have to go through National Travel, well it was dark they had no rooms for that price called NT, the booked me another hotel a mile and 1/2 away NT gave me the reservation number mind you it night and roads are wet. I finally found the hotel go in give the reservation number front desk says ma'am we don't have a room for you, I'm like really, I literally had to reach out to a co-worker to help me find and secure a room. Called NT, and they said let me find you something in the area, I said NO, I'm in the lobby at a hotel who have room you need to booked me a room and give me the confirmation number, I will need you to stay on this line until the reservation is complete! I don't recommend paying them for this type of service.

I have used Nancy and Regal Travel for years with great success (including a ministry trip to…read moreEngland this summer). They were especially great at taking care of teams our church sent, as well as figuring out options when the senior pastor and I were traveling to 3 countries to see our partners. They do seem a bit busy and sometimes slow to respond once in a while, but they have always come through for me. Highly recommend them!

Nancy Thaxton at Regal Travel by Design (the owner) booked our tickets for 2 families (my daughter…read moreand I, and our neighbor Toni and her teenage daughter) to Uganda for a volunteer trip, with a continuing trip to South Africa. She had copies of our passports, so she knew we had a minor with us. However, she failed to tell us that we needed special documents to get that minor into South Africa (a requirement that has been on the books in South Africa for over a year, according to the travel agents I contacted here), so we could not get on the plane in Uganda to Cape Town. We had to buy tickets from Uganda to Dubai after sitting in the Uganda Airport for several hours. Because we were not picking up our return trip Cape Town - Dubai - Dallas in Cape Town, the tickets were cancelled. While in Dubai I contacted Nancy to ask her to get her mistake fixed, but she told me via a text that "partial flown tickets are horrible to deal with" and we were going to have to work with the airline ourselves. We tried, but the airlines told us that because she booked the tickets, she had to fix them. This situation went on for 3 days, with her telling me there was nothing she could do, and me telling her I paid her for tickets and she needed to get this fixed. Finally the airlines called me (with Nancy on the other line) and I paid the airlines ($7,890), not Nancy, for new tickets from Dubai to Dallas. We also lost the prepaid excursion I had booked in Cape Town. I've travelled extensively around the world and I have never had a travel agent try and push me off to the airlines on a trip that had an interruption. I have emailed her several times since we got back on June 24th . She did not responding to anything, until July 12th, which was actually a response to Toni, that I was copied on. I continued to email her, including a settlement offer, and finally on July 25th (1 month after our trip) I got an email from her saying that she had turned my claim over to the National Travel Agent Legal Department. We didn't have trip insurance. Nancy emailed me December 31, 2015 that she would be sending an insurance quote over, but I never received anything from her. She may have been too busy getting me a refund, because she billed me twice in January for the same set of tickets, which I had to point out to her.

We booked our Disney trip through Carie for late July 2022 in October 2021. Our dates were set and…read morethen we had a conflict come up, so our dates were adjusted to early August 2022. Easy peasy. During the time between booking and the trip we got the usual automated emails. In May 2022 we wanted to pay for our trip, and it was a gift from my dad so we needed to pay in person (he would never give CC info over the phone/email). I emailed her to find out her office hours at the airport and told her when we'd be there. We show up - no Carie. I call and she's on her way. After waiting as long as my dad was willing to wait, we left, coming down the hill I happened to see her going up the hill, so we turned around and went back. Trip paid for, yay! She sent a Starbucks gift card for the inconvenience. We spoke about flights, and she said she would add me to her watch list on the flights because the costs would fluctuate, and she would let me know the best time to purchase. She recommended Sunshine Flyer for transportation to and from the airport/resort, but said it was too early to purchase. Never heard another word from her regarding flights or transportation. Thankfully I was watching flight costs and got a pretty good deal on those. I also found out the Sunshine Flyer was having a deal through the end of July that for every adult ticket purchased you could get a free child ticket. I was able to snag those as well. I filled out the automated email about meal reservations and submitted it. We get to the 60 days out mark and I'm looking at my Disney Experience app and I'm not seeing any future plans. After a few days had gone by, I emailed and asked how booking meals were going and didn't receive a response. At that point I started booking my own reservations because I didn't know what was going on. A few days after doing so, I emailed again and let her know that I had made meal reservations. I received a response that she had made some by phone but hadn't imported them into the app yet. I asked her to please import them, and I would go through all the reservations and keep whatever ones I thought would work best. After a few days they were imported. On the survey I had added that the day we arrive was my daughter's birthday, so I'd like somewhere special. I had gotten a Chef Mickey reservation, but it wasn't until 9:30pm. She had gotten one for Ohana, but it was for 6:30pm, which was the same time our flight landed at MCO. Her response was Spirit was in the process of changing flight times to an earlier time. Now I know she has no control over what Spirit does or doesn't do, but I took for granted that she was in the know. So, I moved my Chef Mickey reservation from that day to the next. Fast forward to the week before our trip and she asks to schedule a call before we go. Honestly wondering what for because at this point, I've researched everything and come up with our game plan of what we were going to do. During the call I asked about the flight times and was advised no changes. So, we're looking at a 6:30pm arrival time to the airport and a 6:30pm reservation for Ohana on my daughter's birthday. I'm slightly crushed but probably madder at this point. I watch Ohana like a hawk and finally 2 days before arrival I was able to snag a reservation for 9:30pm. We had also decided to go horseback riding and do a firework dessert post party, but I booked both of those extras myself. I made a mistake and purchased the Memory Maker but then realized it had been included in the package. She was able to get a refund on that for me. On park days she did check on us. In the end it was a great vacation, and we had a ton of fun, but I don't think there was anything done for us that we couldn't have done ourselves.
