I HIGHLY RECOMMEND volunteering here. It was not difficult or hard work. I was given simple tasks like sweeping and crushing cardboard. It was a good experience. Thank you for the opportunity to share my feedback. It's difficult to find a place to serve. I was glad I went there.

This is a NO-KILL shelter. If your looking for a cat or kitten check this place out first. The lady…read morethat runs it has dedicated her life too resucing cats in all sorts of situations. (Even from other shelters) Even if you don't find your baby here your better off donating here or volunteering here rather than places that put animals down within 3 days. All of the cats are spayed/neutered and have all of their shots for $95. When I came too visit they had over 200 cats and a few kittens but I came early in the season for kittens. I will be checking here often for the one.

Willie is by far my favorite as I'm an avid opossum lover. Such great animals to have visit your yard at night. I welcome the free pest control from a very misunderstood marsupial. We were able to pet Willie (highlight of my visit even if he "played dead") along with a milk snake and a striped skunk named Ambrosia. The variety of owls here are amazing & beautiful from screech owls to barn to barrel. Before walking the grounds there was a trailer that housed lots of hands on learning (animal pelts, foot prints, scat varieties, skeletons a plenty, taxidermy scene). You can tell that this facility invests in proper care for the Texas wildlife it rehabilitates and houses as well as does an exceptional job educating the public. There was plenty of parking with overflow parking being located in what looks like a shared lot with the church. Definitely look forward to coming again during another one of their events or classes.

It's a well-managed space that's clearly designed for structured, imaginative play rather than chaos. If you know what to expect, it can be a great outing. Pros: * The location right off The Woodlands Parkway makes it easy to get to without going far out of the way. * The museum is the perfect size--big enough to keep kids engaged, but not overwhelming for parents or little ones. * They host multiple events throughout the month, which helps keep things interesting beyond a standard visit. * Being able to host birthday parties here is a big plus and very convenient. * Pricing feels fair for what's offered, especially compared to larger, more crowded children's attractions. Cons: * The layout doesn't change very often; in two years, I've only seen one noticeable update, which can make repeat visits feel a bit repetitive. * Parking can be frustrating since the lot is shared with a large gym, especially during peak hours. * The shopping center itself is pretty outdated and could really use a remodel, which affects the overall experience. * This is not the place for very hyper kids who need to run freely--everything is more controlled and calm. * There are no concessions, and outside food or drinks aren't allowed, which can be inconvenient for longer visits. Overall, this museum is a great option for younger children who enjoy hands-on, imaginative play in a calm environment. This center has plenty of rooms/spaces for rent for different events. You can also vote here. But what I love is the variety of free daily activities that provide for people of all abilities. It's a great place for leisure and recreation and you get to meet others in the community. The staff is friendly and helpful, especially with the setups. There's also a walking trail outside and plenty of parking. They also have a resource wall full of information like events and assistance.

It seems like they are always holding some sort of event for the community - mainly for seniors. My recent experience here was to early vote in the 2020 Presidential election. The line was all the way out the door and down the sidewalk and across the parking lot as this was the first day of early voting. Parking was a bit tough to find and so I parked in the adjacent Metro Park and Ride lot. The inside of the building was immaculate. I could tell that the staff there takes great pride in keeping it clean and tidy. I was pleased with my experience at this community center and can't wait for all of the various programs to come back so that I may partake in them. Covid has really put a damper on things this year. Kudos to the individuals involved with the Kingwood Community Center and keep up the great work!

I was invited to come here for one of their legal classes. It was very nice to see how accommodating they are towards their community. This particular class consisted of mainly seniors. They were able to get an understanding of how to protect their assets and/or pass along to their love ones. As you walk in they have lots of brochures and business cards of all kinds of assistance.

I have never visited OTS and since I know it's so close by, there may be a trip here more often. Even though there is a class calendar that shows what the painting will be for the night, it's pretty much up to you if you want to paint it or not. Unlike other painting places, there is not an instructor that holds your hand and tells you step by step how to paint. The different types of paintings are printed out on small pieces of paper which you use for inspiration for your canvas. For instance, tonight's painting was the Texas Flag. At the front desk, there were many variations of the Texas flag that you could choose from. If you aren't digging those, you can choose other painting inspirations on the wall. In tonight's class, everyone was doing their own paintings, at their own speed, and at however they wanted to do it. I was very nervous when I began painting because I am used to seeing how the teachers paint and copying them. I just had a picture of what I wanted to paint, and I had to figure out how to do it on my own. It was nerve wrecking but awesome at the same time. The instructors were very friendly, came by often, and gave us tips/techniques on how to make it better. It is BYOB. They provide glasses and some light bites that you can nibble on throughout the night. The Drunk Artist is family owned and their gorgeous dog walks around the place. If I had to choose Painting with a Twist or The Drunk Artist, I would choose Drunk Artist. The environment, different selections of inspiration, and friendly people have really won me over.

Most importantly it was not helping residents find books, but taking the time to visit with them. The residents were offered support in so many ways: committed administrators, caring cottage parents, tutoring, counseling, help in applying for colleges or directly entering the work force. Because BGC choses not take any government funding, residents can live there past age 18. Recently, I met with 1 of the administrators who told me about their newest program. It allows a single mother with up to 3 kids to live there 18 months and receive an array of support that will tremendously benefit her and the children. WTH has been the ideal fit for us. All the teachers have at least a bachelors and many have a masters in teaching. Most have also been at WTH or teaching for many many years. When you step in WTH you can immediately tell that it's a real school environment-- they even have a library and lunch room. In a short period of time, my four year old is advancing really quickly. With in just a few weeks he's already holding a pencil correctly and writing his name (both things he didn't do at prior preschools). This was my two year old's first experience at preschool. I was a little nervous because he's never been cared for outside of our home. With in just a week he would detach with no problem and walk away with a "bye mommy." He's also becoming really independent through their encouragement. He'll bring his own things into school and put them away. It's also worth noting that the director is almost always present and is fully immersed in the activities at the school. I see her all the time from drop off to pick up. This preschool is absolutely top notch. Great teachers, strong curriculum and a really nice facility. We're happy to have found WTH!

Key things that are a bare minimum for me as a first time mom in a child care facility is that my child is safe and cared for properly. What I got was way more than I can imagine. My child is LOVED by her teachers, cared for by all staff members, and she is thriving! When she started, she had a difficult time adjusting. I watched her teachers Ms. Megan, Ms. Cecile, Ms. Teresa put in EFFORT & TIME to help her adjust, make her feel safe to where now she runs off without a care in the world. There are no words to describe the amount of gratitude I have for that type of love and care. As she moved up in her Toddler class, I watched Ms. Madison, Ms. Genieve, Ms. Alyssa, teach my daughter songs, manners, show her such love. Such love that she tells them she loves them as she leaves their class and talks about them at home. These are examples of how great the teachers there are! Make no mistake that no preschool is perfect and there can/will be issues, but anytime I have a concern, I am welcome the opportunity to discuss and and it is addressed. I explained with management that it is important that we work together because we view this as a partnership since VRA plays a key role in my child's life. Working with Brian, Jane, Elaine on expectations have been great and again we are honestly thrilled to have found VRA. This review is long overdue, but the peace of mind, love, and care that the staff at VRA have provided my family and my child is priceless. And for that, we thank you!

Empezamos por la directora las Sra Diana, ella está haciendo un excelente trabajo en esta escuela, desde la selección de los maestros y ayudantes en general, la programación, organización, y estrategias de educación adecuada, alimentación etc. Desde le primer momento que conocimos a la Sra Diana, ella fue muy amigable, nos dió un recorrido por toda la escuela, nos presentó a la gran mayoría de sus maestras y personal asistente, incluyendo al personal que cuida a los bebés estas Maestras son muy dulces y amorosas, inclusive días después conocimos a la hermosa y cariñosa persona que cuida de la cocina. La Sra Diana desde el primer momento respondió, todas y cada una de nuestras preguntas, las cuales fueron muchas, ella tuvo esta calma de aún sin saber que eligiéramos su escuela ella respondió con mucho cariño cada una de estas preguntas. Que placer es poder conocer a personas como ella. Sin duda alguna la Sra Diana ha creado un equipo muy bueno, se puede ver que cada maestra, asistentes y personal en general disfruta su trabajo y trabajar en este hermoso lugar. La maestra de mis niños la Srta Feith y su asistente la Srta Mia. Ellas están haciendo cosas muy bien para todos los niños de este salón, ellas son muy amorosas, amables, amigables, se puede ver estos niños son felices allí, mis hijos solo tienen un mes y medio de estar asistiendo a esta escuela y cada mañana para las dos últimas semanas ellos entran a la escuela y van corriendo para su salón, se puede ver su entusiasmo en sus hermosos rostros, para ellos es un lugar divertido, no más lágrimas como vimos en las dos primeras escuelas de guardería donde estuvieron, a pesar de ser "escuelas" en realidad eran más que todo una guardería. Y lo más importante, mis niños están aprendiendo bastante, hemos notado un gran cambio, ellos ahora hablan más, y son más independientes, y conocen muchas más cosas. Hemos sido testigo de su programa de educación, tienes muchas actividades diarias, adicional a esto hay una madre de familia que pasa a los salones y les lee a los niños unos libros, esta Sra que lee estos libros es tan dulce y tuve la oportunidad de asistir a una de sus lecturas y yo disfrute tanto su lectura que literal sentí ganas de regresar a la escuela, cuando ella está leyendo tiene la habilidad de hacer los cuentos tan reales que tu puedes vivirlos. También cada semana tienen un hora de lectura donde los padres pueden asistir y compartir con sus hijos y educadores de este evento, sin duda tiene cosas excelentes y muchas actividades variadas. Eliminando así tener una rutina aburrida. Esta escuela no es solo una escuela Montessori, es una gran familia. Todo el personal cuidan de los niños aún si no son sus maestras directas, están al pendiente de todos los niños. Me encanta que los niños están en un lugar con tantas actividades y muy importante tienen acceso a diferentes áreas de la escuela, por ejemplo en la mañana salen al patio trasero donde tienen cosas divertidas para los niños jugar al aire libre, luego tienen la opción de usar un gimnasio donde los niños juegan con diferentes juguetes como pelotas grande, legos y carritos y libros muchas cosas más, en este lugar también imparten clases hasta de música. También tienen un área que es un teatro, usado para diversas presentaciones y lecturas. y hay un comedor donde los niños suelen tomar sus comidas y snacks. En si los niños pueden estar en diferentes áreas, evitando así la rutina de estar casi todo el día en 4 paredes. Hasta los horarios de la comidas son buenos, el desayuno a las 9 am, lo cual es perfecto porque los niños en especial los pequeños despiertan algo tarde y tienen la opción de compartir el desayuno con sus compañeros en el aula, y luego tiene snaks y luego su almuerzo, luego otro snack y la cena la toman en casa, lo cual es perfecto. Wao, la verdad yo estoy tan feliz de haber encontrado este hermoso lugar. y estoy tan feliz de ver a mis hijos ser felices y crecer en esta espectacular escuela.
