The one sanity I found was hiring Harford Cleaners to restore all of my textiles. They arrived promptly to help me sort my things into 'save', 'donate', and 'toss'. They packed it all up, and in a few days returned the things for which I requested a rush order. Their work on those items was outstanding. A few months later, when the seasons changed, I requested the return of a few more items of clothing, They selected the items accurately, and delivered them promptly. Fourteen months later, my unit still can't be inhabited, my things are still stored there. Throughout, they have done a great job with the paperwork for me and the insurance company, saving me much aggravation. I strongly recommend them for remediating fire and smoke damage to textiles.

BUT I contacted Hartford Cleaners Sunday late afternoon and explained the situation and Pennylynn replied immediately and said that they would do their best to find my computer bag... They didn't finish half the items on the list to clean (such as kitchen cabinets and vents) even though these items were stated in the service agreement. They left dust balls everywhere. When I raised the issue with them, they said these were stains that couldn't be removed, but I wet one paper towel with water and was able to remove all the dust and stains. It's clear they didn't even try. They sent their team TWO times and their team rushed through and didn't clean most items, and when I flagged more spots that were left dirty, they asked to send their team a third time... absolutely ridiculous. I have no idea how they have 4.5 stars here. Do yourself a favor and go with another company. Merry Maids's customer service and quality of work is very poor and not worth the money whatsoever.

They were the lowest bid but the red flag should have came when I felt I could smell alcohol on Bob. Maybe it was mouthwash... at 1st the communication was great but once the job was completed but my leak was still not fixed I became a second thought, there was always another job. The owner TJ was actually helpful and professional he did get someone out right away but sadly the leak took 3 more attempts to repair. This went on for over a month... My bill was $1200 but if the repair couldn't be fixed after the 1st attempt $400 would go to a new contract for a full roof replacement of around $8000. I would have been a fool to sign a new contract. Sadly a crew was dispatched a 4th time and thank God one of my security cameras saw their 25ft ladder fall and damage my wife's car. It was like pulling teeth to get my roof fixed and the insurance information to file a claim. One of the supervisors Ricardo came out and he was very apologetic and not only did he repair my roof he produced the information needed for my claim. We need our small and local businesses to succeed and hopefully they will but when it came to my experience with Bob there was no consistency or any level of comfort. Basically the whole top of the house. The owner TJ gave me a really good price relative to other estimates. The work was done in stages. It took 6 days but each day they completely cleaned up, and it was not easy because of camellias and azaleas growing against the house. They covered the bushes to protect them. When the job was done, I had an issue or two, as I am kinda picky, but I went ahead and paid my balance and hoped they would come back. They did and fixed everything to my total satisfaction. A really good job and very reasonable for the amount of work. I will be going back for more renovations as I can afford.
