Access to the bank is good and there are a few seats always a plus for the older generation if there is a queue.

There is 2 cashpoints outside the branch. Which saves you having to go inside to deposit or withdraw funds. The staff inside the bank are always very friendly and will do what they can to help you. This branch has recently been done up. They offer a wide range of services which can be applied for inside the branch. The services offerred include things that you would expect from banks like credit cards and loans. They also offer insurance services such as pet insurance, home insurance, they even offer car insurance. All at competitive prices.

However, it's location within the Shawlands Arcade shopping centre means that to access it, you have to walk up the ramp to the arcade and then back across to the bank. This has led to greater investment in the brand, and has brought with it a more secure (financially) institution. The good thing about the clydesdale is the old school branches and staff who have been there for donkey's years, its like banking the way you remember it when you were a kid. However, I know it has been refurbished and is apparently much more roomy and light inside. My main point of this review is to advise you to steer clear of the cashline outside of this bank. It is so slow, and takes ages to get you your money, which is not good, especially since that part of town is usually crawling with drunks and junkies any time after 5pm. I wouldn't say it is safe, and I would never go alone. It has also swallowed my card before, which was pretty awful, as the bank was shut at the time. I'm not the only one this has happened to, a couple of my friends have had it happen over the years also. Go to another cashline, or just switch it! It's not worth the hassle.
